Rhonda L. (Reed) Neidigh, 54 of Wallingford, PA and formerly of South Bend, IN Died on February 2, 2008 at Home. Born in South Bend, IN on March 2, 1953.
Employment: Formerly employed by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as a Semnior Benefits Administrator until 2006.
Armed Force Service: Rhonda served in the United States Marine Corps, on active and reserve duty. Her initial duty station was Marine Corps Air Station, Quantico, VA as an Airfield Operations Clerk from 1971 to 1976 where she attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. She then served at several reserve locations including. South Bend, IN, Honolulu, HI and Wilmington, NC, until her separation from the service in 1986.
Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Kelley Michael Neidigh, her son K.C. Neidigh, of Greensburg, PA and daughter Nicole Leilani Buffington, of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by her brothers, Edward Chester Reed of Wallingford, PA, Tracy Webb, Troy Webb and his wife Holly, of South Bend, IN. Rhonda has one granddaughter, Olivia Grace Neidigh.
Service Information: A viewing and memorial service will be held Thursday, February 7th, 4:30 - 6:00 pm, at the Minsahll-Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown and Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia at a later date.

Helen Elaine (nee Mills) Newswanger AGE: 84
OF: Middletown Twp., PA formerly of Brookhaven, Claymont, DE and Chester, PA. DIED: Saturday, September 8, 2007
AT: Lima Estates BORN IN: Chester, PA. Mrs. Newswanger lived in Delaware County for most of her life, moving from Chester to Claymont DE to Brookhaven to Middletown Township (where she lived from 1961 to the present). She had been a resident of Lima Estates since 1996.

Mid 1960's Obtained her Master's degree in Education from West Chester State Teacher's College and her Supervisory Certification from Temple University
EMPLOYMENT: Teaching career: 1943 - 1988
1943-1961: Taught grades 1, 2, and 3 in Chester School District - William Penn Elementary
1961: Began teaching grade 3 at Roosevelt School in the former Rose Tree Union School District - Roosevelt School
1967: Was appointed Elementary Supervisor for the District, during which time she assumed a leading role in reading and math curriculum development, as well as in the development of the kindergarten program.
1974-1976: Served as the Director of Title I and Head Start programs for the District.
1976: Assumed the role of Principal of Glenwood Elementary School
1977-83: Served as Principal of Rose Tree Elementary School
1983-84: Became Principal of Roosevelt Elementary School for the year before it was permanently closed.
1985: Returned to Rose Tree Elementary School as Principal until she retired in 1988.

Nichols, Richard L.
Richard L. Nichols, born August 6, 1937 in Chester, PA to the late Charles L. Nichols and Lydia Griffin, went home to be with his Lord and Savior July 24, 2008 after a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his daughter Joanna Nichols; Sister Shirley Beck.
Richard graduated from Greenwood High School and received a degree from Goldey Beacom College.
He served in the Delaware National Guard as a Sergeant.
Richard was Vice-President at a trucking company until a catastrophic illness forced his retirement.
Graveside Service and Interment 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 in Chester Rural Cemetery, Chester, PA.
