Other: A man devoted to his home and family. A life long Ham Radio Operator who enjoyed talking to people all over the world. He was a member of the Frankford Radio Club, The National Association of Amateur Radio Operators, Redwood Senior Citizen Club and the Porsche Club of America. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 87, Killen-Miles Post, Lenni Mills, PA.

Husband of the late Jennie (nee Milicia) Michaylytza.

Brother of the late Jean Kraus.

SURVIVORS: Survived by Two Daughters: Carol (Ralph) Christie of Lansdowne, PA and Nancy (Robert) Salvatore of Yachats, OR; Also survived by three grandchildren Katelyn, Meghan and Matthew Christie.

EMPLOYED: Homemaker

ORGANIZATIONS: CHURCH: Long time member Mt Hope Church, Aston, PA where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and The Woman's Circle.

Other: Mrs. Micun was devoted to her home and family. She was a member of Aston Lioness Club. Enjoyed crafts and crocheting and did crafts for charity. Also loved trailer camping with the Church group.

SURVIVORS: Survived by her husband of 58 years, Bruno Mike Micun, Sr; Three Daughters: Linda R. Michaels of Milford, New Hampshire, Marjorie C. Wheeler of Brookhaven, PA and Barbara Jean Sitaras of Cocharnville, PA; Three Sons: Paul M. Micun of Aston, PA, Bruno Micun, Jr. of Huntersville, North Carolina and Richard T. Micun of Aston, PA; Two Brothers: George Franklin of Aston, PA and Benjamin Franklin of Punta Gorda, Florida; Also survived by Sixteen Grandchildren and Six Great-Grandchildren.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Friday from Mt Hope United Methodist Church, 4020 Concord Road, Aston, PA. Interment in the adjoining Church cemetery. Other: Mrs. Mielke was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Eastern Star. An avid Philadelphia Sport Fan; she especially enjoyed the Phillies.

Wife of the late George E. Mielke.

Walter G. Miler AGE: 60

Mr. Miller was employed as a truck driver and loved teddy bears. Survived by his friends Joseph W. and Teresa Scarpato of Prospect Park, PA.

A Service was held 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at The Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home of Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

Miller, Valera

Valera (Owens) Miller, 85, of York, died at 12:45 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2001, at York Lutheran Home. She was the wife of the late Burnell R. Miller.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 9th, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. A visitation will be 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Miller was born January 29, 1916, in York, PA. She was the daughter of the late Walter H. and Daisy V. (Boyer) Owens.

Mrs. Miller was employed by Weinbrom Jewelers in York, prior to that she worked for E.G. Hoover, Co. Jewelers, where she became a certified Gemologist through the Gemological Institute of America. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and their Alter Guild. She was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School and Thompson's Business School. Valera enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping and dancing at the Valentia Ball Room.

Mrs. Miller is survived by a daughter, Pamela Matarrita of Mt. Wolf and two grandsons, Skye Reichert and A.J. Matarrita.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Sara A. Gausmann of Saint Paul Lutheran Church in York.
