ORGANIZATIONS: He loved spending time at his beach home in Rehoboth, Delaware. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and taking motorcycle trips with his friends, but most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.

ORGANIZATIONS: Bill was a devoted family man who especially loved being with his grandchildren and also his dog, Buddy. He enjoyed working in his garden and reading mostly history books. He was an enthusiastic sportsman and Coached youth sports in Delaware County

Mellace, Josephine Cuck
Josephine "Josie" Cuck Mellace, 69, of Upland, PA, died April 17th at Heartland Hospice.
Born in Upland, she was the daughter of the late Ignatz "John" and Loretta Broccoli Cuck. She attended St. Roberts Parochial School and Notre Dame Moylan High School.
Josie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her happiest moments were when she was surrounded by her family and friends. Words cannot express how much she will be missed.
She worked at United Electric Supply in New Castle, Delaware as an accounting associate for 21 years. "Mom-Mom" was much loved by her co-workers who were also her family away home. She treasured attending the yearly Christmas party at work because she was always accompanied by her grandchildren and it became a tradition.
Friends played a major role in Josie's life: whether it was taking cruises to exotic locations, playing in a bowling league or attending weekly line dancing sessions, friends surrounded her. She was an avid country music fan which brought joy to her life. Her sense of humor provided much laughter to everyone she encountered and her laugh will be missed.
Survivors: She is survived by One Son: Frank Mellace, wife Christine of State College, PA; Two Daughters: Christine Sparks, husband Charles Kennedy of Wilmington, DE and Janine Wood, husband James of Lititz, PA; One Sister: Tina Landis, husband James of Wallingford, PA; One Brother: Louis Cuck, wife Janet of Moosic, PA. Six grandchildren: Richard C. and Logan M. Sparks; Colin, Nathan and Evan Mellace and Chloe Wood. Dear friend Janet Czarnota. Also survived by two nephews, John Michael and Louis J. Cuck and one niece, Rachel Tarapchak.

Edward P. Miazza, 88
Retired Sun Ship Welder
Edward P. Miazza, 88, resident of Upland, died on March 30th at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
He was born in Chester, one of seven children of Polish immigrants, John and Josephine Miazga. He met and married Stella Busz, also of Chester. They moved to the suburbs of Upland, raised their children and have remained for over 50 years.
Eddie was always true to his Polish culture which showed in the cooking he learned from his mother to the polkas blaring from his home. Music was an important part of his life and he was always singing a tune from the old days. He had been an active member of the Polish American Club and was their principal cook for any special occasion, especially their Mothers' Day banquets. He was an avid poker player, beat everyone in pinochle and did enjoy a good horse race! To know him was to love him, whether it be family or friend. His door was always open to anyone for a cup of coffee and a meal.
His life was complete with his wife, Stella and three children; Edward, Paul and Linda. He was adored by his grandchildren; Heather, Kathleen, Meghan, Paul and Lesley-Anne, and was blessed to see seven great-grandchildren; Callie, Olivia, Paulie, George, Kendall, Joey and Sienna. His passing has left a void in our lives.
