Julia Picarsic, 75, of Pleasant Valley, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, in Monsour Medical Center, Jeannette. She was born Nov. 14, 1924, in Pleasant Valley, a daughter of the late John and Julianne Rustek Mahoy. She was a member of St. Barbara Church in Harrison City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Mahoy. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael Picarsic; three sons , Michael and wife, Christine Picarsic, Tom and wife, Cindy Picarsic, and Ron and wife, Sandy Picarsic; a daughter, Julianna and husband, James Kane; two brothers , John and Jim Mahoy; a sister, Jane Kopchak; and 14 grandchildren. Family and relatives will be received at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Harrison City, Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Barbara Church with the Rev. Robert Lubic as celebrant. Internment will follow in St. Barbara Cemetery, Penn Township. A vigil service will be held Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Kenneth R. Potter, 53, of Murrysville, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Dec. 16, 1946, in Wilkinsburg, a son of Albert and Katherine Lynch Potter of North Versailles. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Phyllis Pintar Potter; two daughters , Lori Potter of Cranberry Township and Lisa Gessinger and her husband, Ron, of Murrysville; two grandchildren, Alexander and Connor Gessinger; two brothers , William Potter of Murrysville and Albert Michael Potter of Coraopolis; and a sister, Mary Anne Piper of North Versailles. Visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOHN T. HART FUNERAL HOME, Murrysville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 1 p.m. in the mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville, with Father John Moineau as celebrant. Lillian R. Troglio, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Jeannette, died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at home of a heart attack. She is survived by her son, the Rev. Steve Troglio and his wife, Chera, of Crestwood, Ill.; her daughter, Andrietta Benda and her husband, Scott, of Lockport, Ill.; six grandchildren, Steven, Jon-Phillip, Alexis, Laura, Anthony and Aaron; her former husband, Peter Troglio; a sister, Gladys Pryor of Emmaus, Pa.; and a sister-in-law, Elvira "Boots" Harkabusic of Irwin. Services took place in Illinois.

Mary Agnes Turack, 78, of Export RD2 ( Washington Township), died Monday, July 10, 2000, in Monsour Medical Center, Jeannette. She was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Braddock, a daughter of the late John and Mary Kralik Mehalik. She attended the Salem Lutheran Church in Delmont. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed at the Westinghouse Electric Corporation in East Pittsburgh, and at the Twin Valley Convalescent Home in Delmont. She was a loving wife, mother , and grandmother, and her most enduring occupation was that of homemaker for her family. Her inspiration in life was her love of music and dance. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Mehalik; and a sister, Justina Hauck. She is survived by her husband, Daniel L. Turack Sr.; two sons and two daughters , Daniel L. Turack Jr. and his wife, Carole, of Export RD2, Diana Louise Creighton of Export RD2 and her fiance, Dennis King, Cindy Lou Klemencic and her husband, Edward, of Plum Borough, and John David Turack of Export RD2; a sister and three brothers , Susan I. Cervenak and her husband, Michael, of East Pittsburgh, John Mehalik of Swissvale, Andrew Mehalik and his wife, Winifred, of North Versailles, and Paul Mehalik and his wife, Suzann, of Verona; 10 grandchildren, Daniel L. Turack III, Brian A. Turack, and Tracy L. Turack, Diana Marie Lyons and her husband, Gilbert, Calvin C. Creighton Jr., and Donna L. Creighton, Michael E. Klemencic, Christine M. Klemencic, Jacob A. John D. Voit, 69, of Arona, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, in Baldock Health Centre, North Huntingdon. He was born Jan. 19, 1931, in McKeesport, a son of the late Andrew and Anna Voit. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as the general manager by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, and was a private pilot. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin, Elizabeth Township Gun Club Association and a social member of Fairmont-Hahntown Fire Hall. He is survived by three sons , David J. and his wife, Jodi, of McKeesport, Edward P. and his wife, Tracy, of Hempfield Township and Robert L. and his wife, Michele, of Manor; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Nikole. Eleanor A. Shearer Weddell, 87, of West Newton, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born April 24, 1913, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Alwina Elilert Shearer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, West Newton, a member of the AARP, Rostraver Chapter, and a former member of the West Newton Women's Club. She is survived by her husband, Scott M. Weddell; a daughter, Audrey Sterner of Pittsburgh; a son, Scott Weddell Jr. of Catonsville, Md.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Sterner and Jill Walter; and a great-granddaughter, Natalie Walter. Joseph Ralfe "Bear" Weinstein, 72, of Penn Hills, on Sunday, July 9, 2000, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Beloved husband of Mary (Brandler) Weinstein. Father of Laurie J. Weinstein of Rockville, Md., James L. Weinstein of Murrysville and the late Bruce W. Weinstein. Brother of Ronald Weinstein of Clinton and Wayne Weinstein of White Oak. Also survived by four grandchildren. Mr. Weinstein was born Feb. 17, 1928, in McKeesport, to the late Jacob L. and Alma (Walton) Weinstein. A retired agent for Allstate Insurance Company, he was a Duquesne High School alumnus, a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and a World War II U.S. Army paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of the Duquesne GBU, American Legion, Ducks Unlimited, Pennsylvania Rifle & Pistol Association, Konne-Yaut Indian Trap Shooting Association, and the American Contract Bridge League. He was a life member of the NRA Golden Eagles, Amateur Trap Shooting Association and the West Penn Sportsmen Club, and was a charter member of the Ruffed Grouse Society. J. Russell White side, 89, of Bakerstown, died Tuesday, July 11, 2000. Born April 21, 1911, in southern Butler County, he was a son of the late Robert and Lida (Hughes) White side. Beloved husband of the late Roberta "Bobbie" (McDonald) White side. Father of W. Russell White side of North Huntingdon and Mary Jane ( White side) Leistner of Franklin Park. Also five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Mary Butz; and two brothers , Robert and Walter White side. Catherine M. Poe Bernard, 80, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, July 13, 2000, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 29, 1920, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late John E. and Sarah C. Erehart Poe. She was a member of Christ United Presbyterian Church, North Huntingdon, where she served as a deacon and a member of the choir. She was also a Red Cross blood drive volunteer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard W. Bernard; and two sons , L. Wayne Bernard and Larry Bernard. She is survived by five grandchildren, Scott Bernard of Pittsburgh, Brenda Zabel of Omaha, Neb., Matthew Bernard of North Huntingdon, Chris Bernard of North Huntingdon and Kristen Bernard of White Oak; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Poe of Chambersburg. Also nieces and nephews.
