Leppo, Esther E.
Esther E. (Trone) Leppo, 92, of New Oxford, died at 6:35 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2001, at The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Leppo.
The service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 8th, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. A visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Leppo was born November 27, 1908, in York, PA. She was the daughter of the late Curtis H. and Annie E. (Moul) Trone.
Mrs. Leppo retired as a sales representative at Bon Ton Department Stores and had previously been employed with the former Wiest Department Store in York. She was a life-long member of Bethany United Church of Christ in York.
Mrs. Leppo is survived by a sister, Mary Anne Menges of Hanover; two nephews and five nieces. Mrs. Leppo was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Phillip K. Trone.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. John P. Layman, Director of Pastoral Care at The Brethren Home Community in New Oxford.

Mildred "Millie" (nee Jenkins) Levis AGE: 83
OF: A life long resident of Middletown Twp., PA
DIED: Tuesday, January 15, 2008 AT Riddle Memorial Hospital Born: Nether Providence, PA to the late Walter O. and Irene (nee Fox) Jenkins.
EDUCATION: Graduate Wilmington General Hospital School of Nursing
EMPLOYMENT: Worked as a Registered Nurse at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Elwyn and the Manchester House until her retirement.
ORGANIZATIONS: A woman devoted to her home and family. She and her husband enjoyed traveling.
She was the wife of the late Robert L. Levis who died in 1988.
SURVIVORS: Survived by A Daughter: Marsha (William) Reid of Manassas, Virginia.

Virginia (nee Hoy) Lewicki AGE: 84
OF: Wallingford, PA DIED: passed away peacefully after a long illness which she battled with grace, humor and strength on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 AT: Bryn Mawr Terrace
BORN IN: Lock Haven, Pennsylvania Virginia grew up in a loving family of 15 brothers and sisters. She had been a resident of Bryn Mawr Terrace for the last 4 years.
EDUCATION: Lock Haven High School
Trained at Chester Hospital School of Nursing in the beginning of World War II. While at Chester Hospital she met her husband, Stephen Lewicki, who worked as a welder at Sun Shipbuilding in Chester.
EMPLOYED: Later in life, Mrs. Lewicki and her husband became business partners in L & L Manufacturing, which has manufactured kilns and industrial furnaces for over 60 years
Prior Employment: Mrs.Lewicki managed the Bon Marche dress shop in Springfield with her brother-in-law, Stanley Lewicki while raising three sons. Following World War II, she operated a business producing ceramic giftware, which employed up to 25 displaced persons who had immigrated to the U.S. following the war.
ORGANIZATIONS: Mrs. Lewicki deeply cherished her family and friends and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind her devoted family, friends, co-workers and skilled professional health care workers who will miss her cheerful persona and kisses. Virginia's interests included travel, enjoying good food with her extended family and trips to the shore where the family had a beach house in Loveladies, New Jersey for many years. Occasionally she would take side trips to Atlantic City, New Jersey. She loved fine clothes, and sold a Don caster line of apparel shortly before her illness began. She was an excellent cook, knitter and maker of fine handmade chocolates.
Wife of 60 years to the late Stephen Lewicki who died in 2000.
Predeceased by A Grandson and her siblings Stanford, Helen, Beatrice, Shirley, Bruce, Marilla, Annetta, Ruth, Jack (Robert), Ken, Sam and Fred.
SURVIVORS: Survived by her Three Sons: Peter S. (Lynn) Lewicki of Mercer Island, Washington, Gregory D. (Anita) Lewicki of Newtown Square and Stephen J. (Melissa) Lewicki of Swarthmore, PA; Two Brothers: Ross and Lew Hoy; Also survived by Six Grandchildren. Also included in hr large circle of family and friends who survive is her sister-in-law, Vera Lewicki Rohach of Janesville, Wisconsin; a nephew Andy McGlincey of Audubon; Good Friends and soul mates, Dr. Joseph Valloti and his late wife Helen, who where Stephen and Virginia's constant companions. Dr. Valloti survives and continues to practice medicine in Chester.

Other: Mrs. Lewis appreciated the arts and was an avid sportswoman who liked rowing, hiking and volleyball. She also enjoyed photography and travelling.

Simon Lewis; A Son: Aaron Lewis and A Daughter Leah Lewis both at home; Her Parents Richard G. and Betty (Ulrich) Louderback of Middletown Twp., PA; Two Brothers: Richard K. Louderback of Wallingford, PA and Gregory L. Louderback of New Jersey; Also survived by Three Nieces and a Nephew.
