VETERAN: US Army WAR World War II Served with 3rd Army 80th Division and fought in the Battle of the Bulge where he received his Purple Heart.
ORGANIZATIONS: Mr. Kline was an avid Phillies fan; he enjoyed horse racing, walking and his family.
Was a member VFW Post #928 Prospect Park.
SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife of 62 years Agnes (nee Blythe) Kline; Three Sons: Daniel H. Kline of Wallingford, PA, Charles R. Kline of Bradenton, Florida and Steven M. Kline of Norwood, PA; A Daughter: Kathleen A. Mowrer of Glen Mills, PA; Also survived by Four Grandchildren and One Great-Grandchild.

Was a life time member of Highland Park Fire Company where he served as a volunteer fire fighter. Served as a Girl Scout Leader and developed and organized a disaster team of Girl Scouts.

Knight, Christine (Snider)
Christine (Snider) Knight, a long time resident of the Aston area, died Wednesday November 25, 2009 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. She was 88 years old.
Born February 16, 1921 in Lewistown, PA, Christine grew up on a farm in nearby Beavertown. She married Melvin Snider and had one son, John Snider of Ocean City, MD. Some years after her first husband's passing, she remarried William Knight of Aston, PA.
Christine retired from Boeing in Ridley Park, PA, after 24 years of service and will be most remembered for her giving and charitable heart.
Wife of the late Melvin Snider.
She is survived by her husband William Knight, her son, John Snider and his wife, Sandy Snider; two grandsons, Shawn Snider of Wilmington, DE and Brad Snider of Swarthmore, PA, their wives, and five great grandchildren.

Koontz, Sr., Russell M.
Russell M. Koontz, Sr., 86, of York, died at 10:45 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2001, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Catherine E. (Pinkerton) Koontz.
The service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17th, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. The viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Koontz was born December 23, 1914, in York, PA. He was the son of the late Marvin W. and Alice Emily (Brillhart) Koontz.
Mr. Koontz retired from the York City Police Department in 1970 where he was a Police Captain. He was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church, White Rose Lodge #15, Fraternal Order of Police, Yankee Athletic Association, Viking Athletic Association and PA Sheriffs Association. He was a baseball umpire in York for over twenty years.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Ferne H. Wolfe, Jr. of St. Paul United Methodist Church in York.
