ORGANIZATIONS: Mrs. Hahey was devoted to her family, enjoyed her home and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Red Hats and the American Legion Auxiliary. She also was a volunteer at Riddle Memorial Hospital and supported the Spina Bifida and the Blind Association.

Born: Chester, PA to the late William and Blanche Haebel of Marcus Hook, PA. HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF New York City BEFORE MOVING TO Delaware County, PA, 37 YEARS AGO.
EDUCATION: Graduate Washington College, Chestertown, Maryland
While at Washington College he was an active member of the forensic society, which helped him develop his great love of politics and debate.
EMPLOYMENT: Federal Bureau of Investigation. Jim became a Special Agent in 1952 and remained an agent for 25 years. After retiring from the Bureau he became the Director of the Independent Monitoring Unit of Delaware County Manpower and also taught courses in criminal justice at Penn State University.
VETERAN: US Navy WAR World War II SERVED ON THE on the hospital ship USS Tranquility. After the war he continued his service in the Naval Reserve for 38 years, attaining the rank of Lieutenant.
SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife of 42 years Patricia E. Haebel; His Children Beth, Chris, Megan, Amy, Greta, Greg, Kim and Brenna all of Pennsylvania and Delaware; Two Sisters: Betty Benjamin of Media, PA and Ruth Leary; A Brother: Major General Robert E. Haebel, The United States Marine Corp of California; Also survived by Five Grandchildren; Brother of the late William Haebel.
