Evelyn (nee Achie) Faix, age 87 years, of Middletown Twp., Media, PA died on Wednesday August 23, 2006 at the home of her daughter in Harpers Ferry, West Virgina. Born in Philadelphia, PA Mrs. Faix had lived in Middletown Twp., for over 56 years.
Mrs. Faix graduated from the former Eddystone High School. Earlier in life she had owned a beauty shop in Drexel Hill, Pa., and later worked at the former Tri-County Hospital in Springfield, PA in medical records.
She was a woman devoted to her home & family.She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and making handcrafts. She enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years George A. Faix;two daughters:Arlene M. Burke of Avondale, PA & Jacqueline Sabath of Harpers Ferry, W.VA. she is also survived by a sister Olive Burgess of Pa., also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
