EMPLOYMENT: A Homemaker whose husband the late Richard J DeRosa, Sr operated a grocery store in Morton, PA

Other: Mrs. DeRosa was a woman devoted to her home and family. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and crocheting blankets.

SURVIVORS: Wife of the late Richard J. DeRosa, Sr who died in 1978; She is survived by A Son: Richard J. DeRosa, Jr. of Middletown Twp., PA; Two Daughters: Grace Braun of Harrisburg, PA and Joyce Harter of Elkton, Maryland; A Sister: Patrinella Holmes of Scottsdale, Arizona; Three Brothers: Frank Rybel of Florida, Matthew and Adolph Rybel both of Philadelphia, PA; Also survived by Eleven Grandchildren and Twenty Nine Great-Grandchildren and Sixteen Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister of the late Walter Rybel and Tony Rybel, Adele Babbitt and John Yankounis.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Thursday from the Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple Twp, PA; Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at The Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte#352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA.

Desmond, Mollie S.

Mollie (Stohr) Desmond 79 of Newtown Square, PA. Died on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Riddle Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born September 10, 1930 in Springfield, PA, one of two children to the late William and Mollie Stohr.

Graduate West Chester College Class of 1952

Then worked as a Teacher. She married Jack, the love of her life, and raised three daughters in Media, PA. Later in life she volunteered at The Red Cross, and most recently she "found her voice" in the Choir at White Horse Village.

She was generous and loving, devoted to her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. A baker, gardener, seamstress, traveler, photographer and Phillies fan, Mollie danced the Mummer's Strut and Alley Cat with abandon. She never met a holiday she didn't like, celebrating Groundhog Day and Christmas with eq ual enthusiasm.

Survived by her husband: John "Jack" W. Desmond; Three Daughters: Suzette (Tom) Desmond Davis of Shelby, NC, Ginger (Chris) Desmond-Martin of Wellesley, MA and Sandra (Ben) Desmond Stokes of San Francisco, DA; One Brother: William (Beverly) Stohr of Bedford, VA; Also survived by four granddaughters.

There will be a Fireside Gathering 4:00 p.m. Thursday at White Horse Village, 535 Gradyville Road, Newtown Square, Pa 19073. Interment private.

Contributions in memory of Mollie Desmond may be given to Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Phila., PA 19103; or the American Red Cross, 2221 Chestnut Street, Phila., PA 19103.

Other: His memberships included Delaware County Bar Association and the Knights of Columbus. He also served as a former member of Chester Heights Borough Council.

Son of the late Charles F. Devine, Sr and brother of the late Ellen Daly.

SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife Diane Budetta Devine; Sons: David, Andrew and Casey Devine; One Daughter: Brittany Devine; His mother: Margaret M. Devine; Sisters: Maggie Devine-Pennock, Nancy Bowers; Brothers: Michael and Dennis Devine; Also survived by 13 Nieces and Nephews.

SERVICE INFORMATION: Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Thursday at The Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Road, Chester Heights, PA, where friends may call 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 to 10:50 a.m. Thursday. Interment St Thomas the Apostle Church Cemetery.
