Other: A woman devoted to her home and family. When questioned about her vocation in life, her response was always "I am a happy mother of six children, and wife of one husband."
Mrs. Davis was a long time member of Aston's Women's Club. She enjoyed crocheting, watching home and garden television shows, classical versions of fashion dolls and traveling to Massachusetts.
Daughter of the late Frederick and Katherine (nee Splaine) Quebec. Sister of the late Barbara Brazil.

(Pam) Davis, III of Myrtle Beach, SC, Neil (Sheri) Davis of Aston, PA and Scott (Beth) Davis of Dover, Delaware; Three Daughters: Debra (Frank) Pendola of Peabody, Massachusetts, Suzanne (Robert) Ganzelli of Jacksonville, Florida and Denise (Paul) Mullen of Aston, PA; Also survived by Sixteen Grandchildren; One Brother: Frederick Quebec III of Massachusetts; Two Sisters: Pauline Zackular and Virginia Fuller of Massachusetts.

Deacon, Charles A.
Charles A. Deacon AGE: 80
OF: A Longtime Resident of Middletown Twp., PA
DIED: Tuesday, October 21, 2003
AT The Belvedere Nursing Home, Chester, PA after a long illness. Born: Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Albert and Annie Lee Deacon. His father had immigrated to America from Nottingham, England, to help operate the former Chester Lace Mill. The mill was a vital place of employment for residents of the city's West End during the Great Depression.
EMPLOYMENT: Sun Oil Company retiring from the Transfer and Shipping Department. Prior Employment: Union Bricklayer
VETERAN: Mr. Deacon joined the Pennsylvania National Guard in 1940 and went on active duty in February, 1941, with the 28th Division. During World War II, he served in the Central and Western Pacific for 24 months as a rifleman in Company L, 111th Infantry Regiment. His decorations included the Pacific Theater medal with three battle stars and the Combat Infantryman's Badge.
Following his discharge, Mr. Deacon became active in the National Guard and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class before his separation in 1951.
ORGANIZATIONS: Life Member of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a 50-year member and six-time commander of Post 926 in Green Ridge, the largest post in Delaware County and one of the largest in the state. He was serving as treasurer of the post's Home Association when he became ill in January.
Also active in Masonic affairs, Mr. Deacon was a 50-year member of Penn Lodge No. 507 in Chester, Lulu Temple in Wilmington and the Scottish Rite Body in the Philadelphia Consistory.
He will be remembered as a loyal friend to his many associates, a faithful and jovial co-worker and a staunch advocate for all service veterans and particularly for those in need.
SURVIVORS: Husband of the late Jane Taylor Deacon, who died in August after 46 years of marriage. They resided in Parkside before moving to the Knowltonwood section of Middletown in 1966. In addition to his wife, Mr Deacon was predeceased by sisters Gertrude Deacon, Edna Gebhart and Edith Buraczynski. He was cared for in the latter stages of his confinement by a nephew, Edward Gebhart of Middletown, and nieces Nancy Smith and Linda Ganat, both of Wilmington.
