Carmen Francis DeSanzo, 80, of Franklin Park, formerly of Koppel, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born on May 18, 1920, in Koppel. Mr. DeSanzo was employed by the McDermott Company for 43 years, and was a decorated Veteran of World War II, having served in the 15th Airforce Group. He is survived by one son, Carmen M. DeSanzo, and his wife Rita; two grandsons, Michael and Carmen DeSanzo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Mingione DeSanzo. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. John Neumann Church, Franklin Park, where a Christian Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., interment in St. Agatha Cemetery, Ellwood City. George "Geedy" Drakulic Sr., 78, of Wall, on Sunday, July 9, 2000. Son of the late Luka and Stana Drakulic. Husband of Eleanor (Paciniak) Drakulic. Father of George Jr. (Darlene), Gregory (Andrea), Gary, and Samuel (Diane) Drakulic. Grandfather of Amy Mularski, Gregory, Alisha, George III, Ashley, Luke and Lauren Drakulic. Brother of Anne Macesic and Helen Mochan, and the late Mildred Vracar, Katie, Michael and Nicholas "Bobo" Drakulic. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday until the time of service in the funeral home at noon, followed by services in St. Nicholas Serbian E.O. Church at 12:30 p.m. Pomen service in the funeral home Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Drakulic was a long-time proprietor of Mosside Auto Service. He was a former NASCAR race car builder and owner (#39 Chevy). He was a charter member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #786. He was a private pilot, a professional bowler, and an avid chess player.

Mildred Whyles Facciolo, 71, of Lakeland Florida, formerly of Moon, died on Friday, July 7, 2000. She is survived by her husband Anthony Facciolo; one daughter, Cindy Hart, of Peters; one son, Don Facciolo, of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Ben and Alison; one sister, Dorothy Lugin of Moon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Gertrude (Duff) Whyles, and a sister, Frances Stanley. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy. A Christian Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in St. Margaret Mary Church in Moon. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery. Nelson E. Folsom, died Saturday, July 8, 2000 in his home.
Mr. Folsom graduated from Penn State College in 1953 with degree in Forestry. He served in the Army and Navy in World War II. Mr. Folsom retired from Proctor and Gamble after 34 years as Wood Procurement Manager in Florida and Tunkhannock, Pa. He served on the Governor's Council for both Governor Milton Schapp and Governor Richard Thornburg in Forestry Management. He was a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Olives Council, the St. Alexis Over 50 Club and St.Alexis Church.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Pitschke Folsom; two daughters , Kathleen Blake of Cincinnati, Ohio, Leslie Folsom of Oakmont; a son, Dr. Scott Folsom of Ross; three brothers ; two sisters ; and four grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in GEORGE A. THOMA FUNERAL HOME, 10418 Perry Highway, McCandless. Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Alexis Church.Burial will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless. Samuel Morton Hazel, 74, of New Stanton, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Feb. 9, 1926, in Greensburg, a son of the late J. Lester and Mary Black Hazel. Prior to his retirement on Feb. 29, 1988, he had been employed by TWA with 32 years of service. He was a member of Skyline Wesleyan Church, La Mesa, Calif., and was attending the Greensburg Alliance Church. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the TWA Retirees Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kenny E. Hazel; four sisters , Janet Dunlap, Elinar Anthony, Helen Delaney and Jane Kester; and two brothers , the Rev. Glenn Hazel and Kenneth G. Hazel. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Miriam Jean (Sweitzer) Hazel; two sons , Dennis M. and his wife, Terry Hazel, of Round Rock, Texas , and Randall G. Hazel of Sewickley; a daughter, Elaine R. Hazel of New Stanton; five grandchildren, Steve, Greg, Doug, Colleen and Shelley Hazel; two sisters , Mary Garris of Monongahela and Jessie Powell of Lake Station, Ind.; a brother, John H. Hazel of Elizabethtown, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews. He was born May 3, 1923, in Greensburg, a son of the late John and Blanche Smudski Krysevig. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by PPG Industries of South Greensburg, and was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters . He is survived by his wife, Margaret Blaine Krysevig; a son, Stanley A. Jr. and his wife, Carol Krysevig, of Greensburg; a daughter, Kathleen J. Dziuban of Greensburg; five grandchildren, Steven J. Krysevig, David L. Dziuban, Laura J. Dziuban, Daniel J. Dziuban and John L. Dziuban; two brothers , Jack Krysevig of Greensburg and Edward Krysevig of Baltimore, Md.; three sisters , Theresa Houston, Louise Myers and Florence Myers, all of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, Diane; three daughters , Kathy, Janice and Kristin; three sons , Joseph, Robert, and Frank; one sister, Mary Ann Giedl; and one brother, Frank. Mr. Liberato owned two dogs; Gizmo, and Dusty. There will be no viewing. Alice M. Lorenzo, 89, of Webster, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, in Jefferson Hills Manor, Jefferson Borough. She was born July 6, 1911, in Sunnyside, a daughter of the late Frank and Jennie (Walters) Lane. Mrs. Lorenzo was a homemaker, and a member of the Webster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters , Mrs. William (Patty) Anderson of Rostraver Township and Mrs. Jerry (Jennie) Alonso of Fairless Hills; a sister, Elizabeth Zadnik of Fairless Hills; four grandsons, William Anderson Jr., Ralph Anderson, Randy Alonso and Jeff Alonso; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lorenzo, on Jan. 2, 1993; and two brothers , Frank and William Lane. Friends will be received Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township. Alongo Lyons of Negaunee, Mich. He was employed by Lowe's Home Improvement Center, Belle Vernon. He is survived by his parents; his wife, Denise Michelle Piper Lyons; and a 2-year-old son, Nicolas Patrick Lyons at home. There is no visitation; service is private.
