Bonaventure, Evelyn T.
Evelyn T. (nee Gingetti) Bonaventure, 82, of Old Middletown Road, Middletown Twp., peacefully went to sleep on Friday the 14th of January at 7:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, and her son, Daniel. Surviving are two daughters, Linda of Media and Judy of Chester Heights, an honorary daughter, Glenda of Media, two grandsons, Billy and Josh and two sisters, Julia of West Chester, PA and Mary of Long Beach Island, NJ. In addition to family, Evelyn, better known as "Nan" is survived by countless friends and extended family members.
Upon graduating from Radnor High School, Mrs. Bonaventure was employed by Bell Telephone. After her wedding, she moved with her husband to Biloxi, MS for a time before returning to Delaware County to start her famly. Her hobbies included sewing, crossword puzzles, cooking, reading and volunteer work. She was enrolled as a student at the Hometown Senior Center for the last six years and enjoyed every day in class.

Prior Employment: After his High School graduation he relocated to Chester where he worked at General Chevrolet before serving in the Army. After he was discharged from the Service he was employed as Service Director for Cornwall Cadillac in Chester, PA, and set up a diagnostic center for G.M. in Springfield, PA.
ORGNIZATIONS: Church: Member First United Methodist Church, Media, PA, where after serving two terms on the Board of Trustees, he was appointed to a life-time term.
Other: Member of the Masonic Order, Chester Lodge #236 F.& A. M. where he served as Worshipful Master and belonged to the Methodist Men's Organization. Mr. Brien was involved with a variety of community activities including the Upper Providence Sewer Authority, serving as Treasurer. Presently he was a member of the Board of Directors of Port Herman Beach Condominium, his weekend home.
SURVIVORS: Survived by his wife of 22 years, Marilyn (nee Johnston) Brien; One Daughter: Susan (Steven) Daugherty of West Grove, PA; Three Grandchildren: Brianna Zietz, Jeremy Zietz and Caitlin Daugherty; One Sister: Harriet Sclarr of Middle River, Maryland; Two Half-Brothers: Edward Lakjer in California and Paul Lakjer of Breinigsville, PA.
Mr. Brien loved his family and was passionate about is work in serving others.
