SARA YOST Sara M. (Zern) Yost, 78, wife of Earl K. Yost, of Mary Ellen Lane in Skippack Twp., died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton Twp. Born March 23, 1928 in Upper Providence Twp., she was a daughter of the late Charles D. and Edna M. (Landes) Zern. She retired in 1992 from Ford Aeroneutronics in North Wales, where she was a radio tester for 32 years. Mrs. Yost was a member of Valley View Bible Church in Salford Twp. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Barbara J. Opperman and her husband, Gary B., of Little Britain Twp., Lancaster County; one son, Clarence E. Yost and his wife, Barbara E. (Neafcy), of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, Debra Lesh, Steven Opperman and Cody Yost; two sisters, Ida Ystesund of Albuquerque, NM and Marie Atkins of Lower Providence Twp.; and one brother, Elmer Zern of Limerick Twp. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Annabel Zern, Pauline Oehlert and Marion Errington; and two brothers, Harold Zern and John Zern. The viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:15 AM, Saturday, at The Valley View Bible Church, 315 Barndt Road, Salford Twp., followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. The Rev. Michael Lynn, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley View Bible Church 315 Barndt Road, Telford, PA 18969. JOHNNY GETZ SR. Johnny Michael "John" Getz, Sr., 43, of Souderton, formerly of Northampton, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Clarke) Getz. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of Shirley (Sabatine) Getz of Bath and the late Lester Getz. He enjoyed videos games, watching movies and spending time with his family. John was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local No. 1595 of Philadelphia. Throughout his working lifetime, he was a concrete worker doing foundations for buildings and bridges. He is survived by two sons, Johnny Getz, Jr. and his wife, Ashley, of Lansdale and Jared Getz of Souderton; two grandchildren, Kayla Reed - Getz and Johnny Getz III, both of Lansdale; and three sisters, Cindy Maikits and her husband, Robert, of Northampton and Janice Dotter and her husband, Kenneth, and Cheri Solt and her husband, Matthew, all of Bath. ROGER JONES Roger L. Jones, 50, of Quakertown, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, in the home of his mother. Born in Quakertown he was the son of Joyce C. (Schwager) Jones of Quakertown and the late Burroughs "Bert" Jones. He was employed by the Quakertown Community School District serving as the head custodian of the Quakertown Community Senior High School. He was a member of the Perkasie Owls, the North Penn Gun Club, and the Quakertown Moose. Roger also enjoyed gardening and horse races. He was a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Susan R. Strohmeier and her fiance, Dean Pacella, of Spinnerstown, and Erica A. Kulp, and her husband, Brandon, of Perkasie; a brother, Bert and his wife, Sara, of Quakertown; his fiance, Debbie Bolyard of Quakertown; his fiances children, Stephanie and Jason Bolyard; and six grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held on Saturday, June 17 at 10 AM at the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown.
