BERTHA SHADE Bertha K. Shade, 89, formerly of Lansdale, died Oct. 2, 2005 in her Cumru Twp. residence. She was the widow of C. Lester Shade, who died Jan. 30, 1999. Born in Dublin, Bucks County, she was a daughter of the late Henry S. and Mame M. (Myers) Kriebel. She graduated from the former Dublin High School and Kutztown State Teachers College, now Kutztown University. Mrs. Shade was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale. She volunteered with the American Red Cross. She began her teaching career in a one - room schoolhouse and taught first grade for 30 years in the former Montgomeryville School in Montgomery County, retiring in 1980. She is survived by a son, Eric R. Shade of Lansdale; a daughter, Kay Hertzog of Cumru Twp.; and two grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sunya Shade. Funeral services will be at 1 PM, Tuesday at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, One E. Lancaster Ave., Shillington, with the Rev. Edith Gettis officiating. Interment will be in St. Lukes Union cemetery in Dublin, Bucks County. JANET SUPPER Janet K. (Brower) Supper, 65, of Chalfont, died October 1, 2005 at her residence. She was the wife of 39 years to Joseph Supper. Born in Doylestown, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (King) Brower. She was a gradaute of Central Bucks High School. Mrs. Supper was a homemaker but had recently worked for five years at House of Fabrics, North Wales and from 1958 through 1967 had worked in production control at Teleflex, Inc. in Lansdale. She was a member of Pleasantville United Church of Christ, Chalfont, where she sang in the church choir and taught Sunday school and Bible school. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Leroy J. Supper and his wife, Christine, of Gerryville and William Supper and his wife, Lynn, of Perkasie; a daughter, Susan Supper of Chalfont; and four grandchildren, Devon, Derek and Will Supper and Jessica Schote. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 12 P.M. at the Pleasantville United Church of Christ, 3424 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont, PA 18914. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends following the service. DELORES PALMER Delores E. (Rotay) Palmer, 74, of East Norriton, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005 in Rittenhouse Pine Nursing Center in Norristown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Palmer, in August of this year. Born March 9, 1931 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Margaret (Karcewski) Rotay. She graduated from Norristown High School, Class of 1949 and Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. A retired registered nurse, she worked for the former Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown. She was a life member of the Montgomery Hospital Nurses Alumnae Association. Mrs. Palmer was a member of Visitation BVM Church in Trooper. She belonged to the Colony Club of Norristown. She is survived by her daughter, Michele S. Moyle and her husband, Denton, of Lansdale; her two granddaughters, Alexandra and Meagan; her brother, Bernard Rotay and his wife, Phyllis, of King of Prussia; and a niece and a nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Delores life celebration from 10 to 11 AM, Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Boyd - Horrox Funeral Home of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike, with funeral services at 11 AM. Entombment will be in St. Patricks Mausoleum in East Norriton.
