Giordano, Missionary, Rev. Rita C.

REV. RITA C. GIORDANO, MISSIONARY (nee Oliver) went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2004 of Medford. Age 81. Beloved wife of Rev. Anthony Giordano for 61 years. Devoted mother of Allan (Norma) of Mt. Laurel and Betty (Joe) Lowe of Salem, W.VA. Sister Elizabeth Stegen of Roselle Park, NJ. And 4 grandchildren, Christine Woody, David Tryon, Rev. Scott Giordano and Robert Giordano and great granddaughter, Casey Tryon. She was a graduate of Valley Forge Christian College. Along with her husband she was a Missionary in South American and Europe for 51 years. There will be a viewing on Thursday evening 7-9 PM with an evening 9 PM service, also a viewing on Friday 9-11 AM in the Marlton Assembly of God Church. Where there will be an 11 AM service. Entombment Lakeview Memorial Park. If desired memorial donations can be made to Valley Forge Christian College c/o Marlton Assembly of God Church, Main and Elmwood Marlton, NJ 008053.

Giovenco, John

John Giovenco, 97, of Sea Isle City, died on Monday, March 8, 2004 at Loyalton of Cape May. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 10, 1906. He was raised in Sicily and returned to Philadelphia in 1925. He worked at South Jersey Paper Mill in Camden until his retirement in 1971. At that time, he moved to Sea Isle City permanently. He was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church. He attended the Senior Center on Bay Avenue in Ocean City daily. He loved pinochle, music and dancing.

Mr. Giovenco is survived by his son, John "Jack" and his wife, Ann of Webster, NY; his grandchildren, Marie Rice and her husband, Jason, and John D. Giovenco and his wife, Andrea; and his great grandchildren, Rachel Lauren Giovenco and Joseph Michael Giovenco. He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance (Bellino) Giovenco in 1994.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 44th Street and Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City. A viewing will be held on Monday, March 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment will be in Seaside cemetery, Palermo. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the favorite charity of one's choice.

Giroux, Doris A.

Doris A. Giroux, of Mt.Laurel, NJ, born and raised in Saginaw, MI. Age 81. Beloved wife of the late Francis W. Giroux. Devoted mother of Stephen M. and his wife, Elaine of Voorhees, David F. and his wife, Diane of Port Charlotte, FL, Dennis E. and his wife, Suzanne of Wills Point, TX and Jeffrey W. and his wife, Patricia of Marlton. Dear sister of Jack Love and Joyce Loomis of Saginaw, MI. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren. A kind and generous woman, she will be remembered for her devotion to her family. She enjoyed all of the holidays, but especilly cherished the time spent baking Christmas cookies with her grandchildren. Mrs. Giroux was a WWII veteran of the US NAVY stationed in San Diego, CA, where she attained the rank of Yeoman 2nd Class. Services were private at the request of the family. Interment was held Friday, January 9th, 2004 at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. If desired, donations may be made in Mrs. Giroux's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of South Jersey 1415 E. Rt. 70 Suite 502 Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Funeral directed by Bradley Funeral Home, Marlton.

GLOTFELTY, ROBERT J.

On November 16, 2001, of Gibbsboro, NJ formerly of Pittsburgh, PA (Glenshaw)

Age 47. Beloved husband of Eileen (nee Holleran). Loving  Father of Grace, Brian, Joel, and Laura, all at home. Dear son of W. Bruce and Elizabeth (Van Kirk) Glotfelty and brother of Richard B. Glotfelty, all of Aurora, CO.

Robert was a Graduate Gemologist, a Certified Gemologist Appraiser, and a Registered Jeweler, working for Family Jewelers in Marlton, NJ

He was also a long-time member of Heritage Church in Voorhees, NJ

Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service at 7pm on Tuesday at Heritage Church, 110 Kresson Gibbsboro Rd., Suite 101, Voorhees, NJ 08043 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations To the church. Arrangements directed by the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Marlton. (856) 983-1005.

Godfrey, James B.

James B. Godfrey, 72, of Wildwood, NJ, died peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2003, at the home of his faithful companion, Joyce Hoffman, in Cape May Court House, NJ after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Mayville, NJ, the son of the late Frank and Gertrude Penton Godfrey. He was a general building contractor for twenty years; worked for the Cape May County Bridge Commission for ten years and a maintenance division manager for Cape May County. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House; served in the National Guard as a Sgt. in Army Communications; was the Captain of the Pine Avenue Fire Company for eleven years; was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce; the National Rifle Association and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by a son: James F. and his wife, Sharon, of North Cape May, NJ;  daughters: Nicole Grant of Tennessee, and Judy Ingersoll and her husband, Benjamin, of Wildwood, NJ; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and his faithful companion of 23 years, Joyce Hoffman.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ where friends may call at 9:30 to 10:45 AM, Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. Memorials may be made to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260; Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurse Agency, 1801 Rte. 9 North, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210; or the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House, North Main St., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Lois Emma (nee Manbeck) Grafton

AGE: 76

OF: Wallingford, PA

DIED: Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center

Born: Pattersonville, PA
Had been a resident of Wallingford, PA for 14 years.

EDUCATION: Graduate Chester High School
Graduate Penn State University

EMPLOYMENT: Secretary to the late Hon. Louis A. Bloom For 17 years, when she left to raise a family. During her employment she was well known as Miss Manbeck, even after her marriage. She later returned to the work world as a Administrative Assistant to the late Hon. John V. Diggins, for 9 years.

Former Member Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Thornton, PA, where she taught Sunday School and served as Chairlady of the Education Department

SURVIVORS: Survived by her husband Harry C. Bud Grafton, Jr.; Two  daughters: Elizabeth L. Beth Arscott and Carol M. Grafton both of Wallingford, PA; Two sisters: Charlotte M. Ludman of Elkton, Maryland and Allegra F. Alexander of Broomall, PA; A Favorite Grandson, Russell L. (RJ) Arscott, II of Wallingford, PA; Also survived by Three Nieces, Three Nephews, Seven Grandnieces and Six Grandnephews. Daughter of the late Wallace M. and Agnes Elizabeth Laudeman Manbeck; Sister of the late Guy L. Manbeck and Ruth R. Manbeck.
