He lived his early years in Norristown and served in the Army 45th Infantry Division on the front lines during the Korean Conflict. He attended Eisenhower High School in Norristown; Pierce Business College and Temple University. His career was in Real Estate Appraisal. In the 1970's he was the PennDot Administrator for the Southeastern 5 county area; married
to Joan Helyn Spector for the past 42 years, he is also survived by daughters, Abby and Ivy Gilbert; son-in-law Howard Trachtman and step-brothers David Fisher, of MD and Jules Fisher, of NYC.
