GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Robin Lynn Fields Leidig, 37, of 9768 Hades Church Road, died Thursday, April 30, 1998, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born Jan. 22, 1961, in Long Branch, N.J., she was the daughter of Zelda May Sanders Fields Garland of Laurel Hill, N.C., and the late Elijah E. "Dusty" Fields.
She received her G.E.D. from Greencastle High School. She then attended International Beauty School in Chambersburg, and also received her certified nursing assistant certificate.
She was formerly employed as a nursing assistant at Avalon Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown. She was last employed as a hair stylist at Hair Cutter in Chambersburg, Pa.
She was a member of Locust Level Full Gospel Church in Greencastle.
She enjoyed horses.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert L. Leidig, whom she married Aug. 11, 1982; her stepfather, James Garland; a daughter, Tara L. Sanders, at home; three sons, Robert L. Leidig Jr., James M. Leidig and Jesse T. Leidig, all at home; a sister, Sharon K. Souders of Hagerstown; and aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Brian C. Fields.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Miller-Grove Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle. Pastor Marvin Ray Bard will officiate. Burial will be in Brown's Mill Cemetery in Antrim Township, Pa.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mary E. Helman
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Mary E. Helman, 87, a resident of Wynbrier Retirement Home and formerly of 57 S. Ridge Ave., Greencastle, Pa., died Thursday, April 30, 1998, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Sept. 11, 1910, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Rebecca Mowen Helman.
She worked at the former Greencastle Canning Factory and the former Leonard Spitz Co. in Greencastle. She was last employed by the former Better Foods Store in Greencastle.
She was a member of Calvary Bible Church near Greencastle.
She enjoyed cooking and baking.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. Glen A. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Price's Church Cemetery near Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Gordon I. Price
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Gordon I. Price, 58, of 232 N. Grant St., died at his home.
Born May 29, 1939, in Quincy, Pa., he was the son of the late Irvin and Mildred Ritter Price.
He was a 1958 graduate of Quincy High School.
Early in life, he was employed by Frick Co. in Waynesboro.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a Protestant.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Hockenberry Price, whom he married June 26, 1965; and aunts, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.
Arrangements are by Cumberland Valley Crematorium in Waynesboro.
Kevin M. Stauder
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Kevin Michael Stauder, 35, of 10481 Reeder Road, died Friday, May 1, 1998, at his home.
Born July 30, 1962, in Bethesda, Md., he was the son of Henry G. Stauder Jr. of Long Island, N.Y., and Catherine N. Spigler Stauder of Hagerstown.
He was employed as a correctional officer at Maryland Correctional Institution for 10 years.
He was a first sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve in the 311th Theater Signal Command at Fort George G. Meade.
He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Hagerstown.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kathy L. Breakall Stauder of Mercersburg; a daughter, Lori Ann Stauder, at home; a son, Nathaniel M. Stauder, at home; a stepsister, Deborah A. Stauder of Long Island; a brother, Henry G. Stauder III of Hagerstown; two stepbrothers, Michael J. Stauder and Timothy S. Stauder, both of Long Island; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Temple, 16221 National Pike, Hagerstown. The Rev. Ed Hampton will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Clear Spring.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring.

Virginia S. Albert
MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Virginia Sipes Albert, 74, of McConnellsburg, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at Manor Care Health Services, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born March 5, 1924, in Licking Creek Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William B. and Zelda Seville Sipes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Albert, in 1979.
She had been a licensed practical nurse at Fulton County Medical Center, State Health Clinic and Sagner Manufacturing, all in McConnellsburg and at Leader's Nursing Home in Chambersburg.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Kerlin and Mona Sowers, both of McConnellsburg; one son, John E. Albert of Chambersburg; two brothers, Stanley Sipes of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Eugene Sipes of Warfordsburg, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, two sisters and one brother.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., Harrisonville, Pa. The Rev. Christian Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg.
There will be no viewing, but the family will receive friends Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary E. Wallech
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Mary E. Wallech, 88, of 9911 Browns Mill Road, died Friday, May 1, 1998, at her home.
Born Dec. 11, 1909, in Leitersburg, she was the daughter of the late George L. and Bessie E. Minnich Reyer.
She had retired from Gibble Potato Chips near Marion, Pa. after 15 years employment.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greencastle for more than 50 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Kathryn Owen of McDonough, Ga.; a son, Richard M. Wallech of Greencastle; one sister, Anna Kathryn Reyer of Greencastle; two step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, an infant sister and an infant brother.
Services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. Perry S. Hanson will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, Pa.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lawrence B. Shimer
MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Lawrence B. "Friday" Shimer, 89, of 205 S. First St., died Friday, May 1, 1998, at Manor Care Health Services, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born Feb. 13, 1909, in McConnellsburg, he was the son of the late Chris E. and Minnie Bell Shimer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecyl Zimmerman Shimer, in 1980.
He owned and operated a barber shop in McConnellsburg all of his working life.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the European theater during World War II.
He was a member of McConnellsburg United Church of Christ.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Lodge 774, Harrisburg Consistory; McConnellsburg American Legion and McConnellsburg F.O.V.A.
He is survived by one step daughter, Carolyn Lackey of Carlisle, Pa.; one step son, Robin Lefevre of Red Lodge, Montana; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Shimer, Thad Shimer, Walter Shimer and Donald Shimer.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Inc., 322 N. 2nd St., McConnellsburg. The Rev. Barron Barley will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. A military graveside service will be conducted by Fulton Honor Guard.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
William C. Bard Sr.
ORRTANNA, Pa. - William C. Bard Sr., 73, of 499 Buchanan Valley Road, died Monday, May 4, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born May 5, 1924, in Scotland, Pa., he was the son of the late Walter C. and Helen Perry Bard.
He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, in 1972.
He served with the U.S. Army, 17th Airborne Division, in the European Theater during World War II. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed collecting antiques and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie J. Atnip Bard, whom he married on March 18, 1946; two sons, William C. Bard Jr. of Chambersburg and Timothy A. Bard of Orrtanna; two sisters, Betty Perry of Goosecreek, S.C., and Barbara Ann Bard of South Carolina; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and four brothers.
Services will be private. The Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
