Sister of Jack Pierce, formerly of Pittsburgh, now of Dade City, Fla. aunt of George Wochley of Franklin Park, Peggy Wulff of Butler, Brian Pierce of Carnegie and Lori Pierce of Ross Township. Also survived by her cousin, Margaret "Peg" Sterling of Zelienople, two great-nieces and two great-nephews. Dorothy Boyle was a great friend to many. MICHAEL C. COLISH
Michael C. Colish, 87, of Latrobe, died Saturday, July 1, 2000, in Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry Township. Born Aug. 4, 1912, in Anita, Pa., he was a son of the late Wash and Alice Scobal Colish. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Latrobe. He retired from R&P Coal Company with 48 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Husoskey Colish; four brothers , Wash, John, Pete and Steve Colish; and three sisters , Mary Checeye, Anne Smith and Helen Visingard. He is survived by two sons , Robert Colish and his wife, Kay, of College Park, Md., and Joseph Colish and his wife, Jean, of Silver Spring, Md.; two daughters , Bernadine Joyce and her husband, Michael, of Long Island, N.Y., and Mary Alice Brunozzi and her husband, Daniel, of Latrobe; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose Harris DeLozier, 94, of Delmont, died Friday, June 30, 2000. She was born Nov. 30, 1905, in East Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John and Sarah Roth Harris. Rose was a retired LPN at Braddock General Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin DeLozier; two brothers , Samuel and Emil Harris; and a sister, Julia Dargan. Surviving are a brother, Eugene Harris of California; a sister-in-law, Tennie Harris of Delmont; a niece, Donna Watt of Monroeville; and several other nieces and nephews. Estella E. Forsha, 90, of Latrobe, died Thursday, June 29, 2000, at her home. She was born May 19, 1910, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Calvin and Mary Hughes Marks. She was a charter member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Latrobe, and was its past financial secretary for more than 30 years. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter E. Forsha Sr.; two sons , Ronald W. Forsha Sr. and Walter E. Forsha Jr.; a daughter, Betty June Buncie; a grandson, Walter E. Forsha III; and a granddaughter, Brenda Verneau. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy J. Verneau and her husband, Wilford, of Harlem, Ga.; a son-in-law, Donald Buncie of Jeannette; two daughters -in-law, Dolores J. Forsha of Ligonier and Cheryl L. Forsha of Dawson; a sister, Nina King of Latrobe; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Winifred A. Giovenco, 85, died Friday, June 30, 2000, in Suburban General Hospital, Bellevue.
Mrs. Giovenco was a member of Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption, Bellevue, where she belonged to the Christian Mothers group.
Survivors include her husband, Mario "Mike" Giovenco; a daughter, Patricia Murphy; a stepdaughter, Michelyn Giovenco; a stepson, Pete Giovenco; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Wylie; four sisters , Mae Sunday, Betty Toogood, Josie Heller and Florence Chappel; and four brothers , Stephen Whalen, Patrick Kavanagh, James Kavanagh and Tom Kavanagh.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Lawrence T. Miller Funeral Home, 460 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue. Christian Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption. Burial will be in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery, Ross.

James L. "Bud" Himmelwright, 43, of Greensburg, died Saturday, July 1, 2000, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born July 27, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Donelle E. McKeel Himmelwright of Greensburg and the late James C. Himmelwright. He had been employed as the manager of Den's Sunoco of Jeannette and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose of Youngwood, the Hempfield Hunt Club and the Roosevelt Club of Hempfield Township. In addition to his mother , he is survived by a sister, Judith Ann Himmelwright of Hunker; a brother, Thomas C. and his wife, Dawn Himmelwright, of Jacksonville, Fla.; two nephews, Tony and Mike Culp, both of Greensburg; his fiancee, Vanessa Abraham of Greensburg; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Antoinette "Tootsie" Mastrianni Johnson, 75, of Trafford, died Saturday, July 1, 2000, in Forbes Regional Health Center, Monroeville. She was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Trafford, a daughter of the late Dominic and Lucrezia Motto Mastrianni. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Trafford Supermarket as a cashier. She was a member of St. Regis Church and its Altar Rosary Society, and the American Legion Post 331 Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Johnson, in 1986; two sisters , Jennie Mastrianni and Pauline Shumar; and a brother, Dominic Mastrianni. She is survived by two daughters , Rachel Rios of Annapolis, Md., and Laraine Divens of Trafford; three sisters , Anna Karrigan of Trafford, Rose Meadows of East McKeesport and Julia Skrabski of Trafford; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. JOSEPH J. KONIECZNY
Joseph J. Konieczny, 81, of Liberty Street, Mt. Pleasant, died early Saturday morning, July 1, 2000, at his residence, following an extended illness. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, April 1, 1919, a son of the late John and Catherine Wozniak Konieczny. Joe was a lifelong member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, and the community of Mt. Pleasant. Prior to his retirement, Joe was employed by the R.E. Uptegraff Manufacturing Co. of Scottdale with 27 years of service. He had previously been employed by U.S. Steel, Clairton Works, and United Bakery of Uniontown. Joe was a veteran of the armed forces serving with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II, attaining the rank of T/3 sergeant. He was a member of American Legion Post 446, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3368, Kosciuszko Club, Firemen's Club and Polish Falcons Club, all of Mt. Pleasant, and the Hecla Sportsmen's Club. Joe will fondly be remembered for his love of gardening and his favorite sports of fishing and hunting. Joe leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Frances V. Sokola Konieczny, with whom he would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on July 10; his children, Cynthia A. Oriolo and her husband, Vincent, of McKees Rocks, Eileen C. O'Connor and her husband, Patrick, of New Kensington, and Ronald J. Konieczny and his wife, Tara, of Woodland Park, Colo.; and his five grandchildren, Brian, Matthew and Nathan O'Connor and Michelle and Matthew Oriolo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters : Walter, Stanley, Paul Andrew "Henry" and Frank Konieczny, Anna Stack, Catherine Brzezinski, Josephine Stricheck, Clara Grabiak, Mary Balcerek and Irene Dean. Mary Edna Hignet Kratochvil, 75, of Trafford (Penn Township), died Thursday, June 29, 2000, in her home. She was born Sept. 6, 1924, in Larimer, a daughter of the late Harry Monroe Hignet and Mary "Sue" Lavinia Hignet. She was a member of St. Barbara Church in Harrison City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers , James, Stanley, and Faye Hignet; and two sisters , Jessie Williams and Elmira "Midge' Dattola. Survived by her husband of 57 years, William J. Kratochvil Sr.; two sons , William Kratochvil Jr. and Stanley Kratochvil, both of Level Green; three daughters , Vicky Crisman of Oakdale, Sue Teems of Harrison City, and Alice VanDyke of Monroeville; a brother, Robert Hignet of Arizona; a sister, Iva Droske of North Braddock; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in West Newton, the SNPJ Lodge 64 of Collinsburg, the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Post 278 of West Newton, and the Auxiliary Catholic War Veterans Post 1669 of Uniontown. She had worked at the Standard Fusee in West Newton and Christy Park in McKeesport, prior to her marriage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence B. McGrew; three brothers , Joseph Sims, Anthony Sims Jr. and William Sims Sr.; and three sisters , Agnes Sims, Mary Sims Thorne and Angeline Sims Beadling.
