Olive M. Kriner
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Olive Mae Kriner, 92, of 405 Park Circle, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at Manor Care Health Services, Chambersburg.
Born Sept. 20, 1905, in Williamson, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Luther H. and Dessie Barnes Bitner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Statler E. Kriner, in 1960.
She retired from H.J. Heinz Co., Chambersburg.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Williamson.
She was a member of St. Thomas American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter, Lester "Betty" Malone of Chambersburg; one son, Robert Kriner of St. Thomas, Pa.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, St. Thomas. The Rev. Alan R. Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Robert L. Helman Sr.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Robert L. Helman Sr., 94, a resident of Franklin County Nursing Home, and formerly of Rock Hill Road, Waynesboro, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born June 9, 1903, in Guilford Township, Pa., he was the son of the late David and Caroline Sprenkle Helman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Ruth Henry Helman, in 1971. They were married Oct. 27, 1927.
He was a retired farmer and a part-time carpenter. In his early life, he worked on the Western Maryland Railroad and the former Hess Brother Orchards of Five Forks, Pa.
He was a member for more than 50 years of Fetterhoff Chapel United Methodist Church near Chambersburg, where he was a trustee and on the administrative board.
He had been a director of Farmer's Creamery in Greencastle, Pa.; former member of Shady Grove Ruritan Club; and former member of Pennsylvania Farmers Association.
He is survived by seven daughters, Joretta Wise, Esther Beaver and Shirley Helman, all of Waynesboro, Evelyn Oaks of Clear Spring, Melzina Dice and Alma Walter, both of Chambersburg and Pauline Seibert of Spring Run, Pa.; four sons, Robert Helman Jr., Ronald Helman and Leonard Helman, all of Chambersburg, and Elwood Helman of Waynesboro; three brothers, Glenn Helman of Hagerstown, Eugene Helman of Fayetteville, Pa., and Carroll Helman of Chambersburg; 33 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Harold Helman, in 1943; one grandson; two great-grandsons; five sisters; and five brothers.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle. The Rev. Robert L. Basom will officiate. Burial will be in Falling Spring Reformed Mennonite Church Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends today from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mark A. Brezler
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mark Andrew Brezler, 20, of 192 Echo Drive, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, in Chambersburg.
Born July 18, 1977, in Carlisle, Pa., he was the son of C. Robert III and Angela D. McCardell Brezler of Chambersburg.
He attended both Carlisle- and Chambersburg-area public schools.
He was employed at the former Golf Shoppe and Bob Evan's Restaurant, both of Chambersburg.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Lisa Brezler, at home; a brother, Christopher A. Brezler of Harrisburg, Pa.; maternal grandparents, Charles and Helen Mong McCardell of Chambersburg; paternal grandfather, C. Robert Brezler Jr. of Waynesboro, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary F. Brezler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Martin O. Moran will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery, Waynesboro.
Friends may call today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, where the rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m.

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - A graveside memorial service for Clarence W. Snyder, 66, of 9866 Fort Loudon Road, who died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg, Pa. The Rev. Roy E. Break Sr. will officiate.

Garnet L. Davis
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Garnet L. Davis, 64, of 1130 Warm Spring Road, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born April 30, 1933, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Luther and Mae Sword Davis.
He learned a machinist trade at Chambersburg Engineering Co.
He worked at T.B. Woods Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1990.
He was a member of St. James United Brethren Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Noss Davis, whom he married Oct. 6, 1951; one son, Dale Davis of Boiling Springs, Pa.; two daughters, Donna Mooney of Roanoke, Va., and Karen Tarr of Chambersburg; three sisters, Mabel Alleman of Rustburg, Va., Hazel Bernecker of St. Thomas, Pa., and Helen Thomas of Chambersburg; one brother, John Henry Davis of Chambersburg; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Garnet L. Davis Jr.
Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. James United Brethren Church. The Rev. Joel Christman will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.

Thomas H. Long
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Thomas H. Long, 59, of Welty Road, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, at his home.
Born Sept. 17, 1938, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Elsie Long.
He graduated from high school and college in the Pittsburgh area. He received a degree in accounting.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Haiti in the late 1950s.
He was employed as a salesman at Molla Furniture, New York, N.Y., in the 1970s. From the early 1980s to the early 1990s, he was employed as an accountant for Buchanan Auto Park, Rouzerville, Pa.
He was a professional ice skater; a member of South Chapter 2977, Waynesboro; and Waynesboro Historical Society.
He was the last of his immediate family.
Graveside memorial services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. Pastor Roger K. Myers will officiate.

Thomas R. Cook
MONT ALTO, Pa. - Thomas Ray Cook, 78, of 415 Greenwood Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at his home.
Born Sept. 17, 1919, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Thomas W. and Ruth I. Kepner Cook.
He graduated from Waynesboro High School.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. military in the European Theater.
He was employed as a security supervisor at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pa., for 31 years.
He was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15, Waynesboro; and a life member of Harry D. Zeigler VFW Post 6319, Greencastle, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Dolores Linn Cook, whom he married Jan. 24, 1948; one son, Robert J. Cook of Mont Alto; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda K. Cook, in 1971; one son, Thomas R. Cook Jr., in 1968; and two sisters, Hilda Stevenson and Miriam Cook.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Quincy Cemetery, Quincy, Pa.
There will be no public viewing.

Nora S. Baker
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Nora S. Baker, 86, of Franklin County Nursing Home and formerly of 258 High St., died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born March 20, 1911, in Peters Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Emma Hornbaker Straley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William I. Baker, in 1981.
She worked as a sales clerk at the former Martin's Grocery Store, Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg.
She was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and helped with church banquets.
She is survived by one daughter, Bonita Barlup of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sons, Jerry W. Baker of Frederick, Md., and Michael S. Baker of Chambersburg; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Harold E. Posey will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Margaret Gusinski
SOUTH MOUNTAIN, Pa. - Margaret Gusinski, 87, of 10058 South Mountain Road, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, at Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, Pa.
Born May 20, 1910, in Scranton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret Jadlunis Marcincavage.
She was a homemaker.
She was of the Catholic faith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 2 p.m. in the auditorium chapel of South Mountain Restoration Center, South Mountain. The Rev. Joseph C. Carolin will be celebrant.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
