Donald R. Coffey Sr.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Donald R. Coffey Sr., 60, of 3527 Sycamore Grove Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Maryland General Hospital, Baltimore.
Born Aug. 4, 1937, in Guilford Township, Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Alice West Coffey.
He was a painter for E.E. Mills and sons.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Washabaugh Coffey; one daughter, Lisa Michelle Thomas of Fayetteville, Pa.; one son, Donald Ray Coffey Jr. of Chambersburg; three sisters, Betty Peters, Ruby Burkett and Joanne Hock, all of Chambersburg; three brothers, David Coffey, William Coffey and Kenneth Coffey, all of Chambersburg; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. Chaplain Theodore Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery.
Private family visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Beverly J. Dickey
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Beverly Jean Curry Dickey, 38, of 8991 Kline Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Waynesboro Hospital, Waynesboro, Pa.
Born March 16, 1959, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late James F. Curry and Martha E. Daugherty Burger.
She was employed by Staples Warehouse, Hagerstown.
She was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Temple.
She is survived by two daughters, Alisha C. Dickey of Hagerstown and Kimberly L. Dickey Holland of Hagerstown; a son, William D. Curry of Greencastle; three sisters, Lois A. Hawbaker of Hagerstown, Shirley D. Billman of Williamsport and Sharon K. Divel of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two brothers, Robert E. Curry of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Larry E. Curry Sr. of Greencastle; two granddaughters; five nephews; and a companion, Donald Wright.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Ed Hampton will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mildred I. Starliper
QUINCY, Pa. - Mildred I. Chamberlain Starliper, 75, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 46 E. North St., Waynesboro, Pa., died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born Jan. 28, 1923, in Hustontown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late O. Forest and Mabel E. Bishop Chamberlain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester C. "Pete" Starliper, in 1983. They were married Nov. 29, 1952.
She was employed at Waynesboro Sportswear as a machine operator from 1949 to 1964.
She was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Waynesboro.
She was a member of Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary; South Chapter 2977 AARP; and National AARP.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna L. Shawley of Spring Mills, Pa.; one stepson, Robert E. Starliper of Waynesboro; one sister, Evelyn M. Hampton of Mercersburg, Pa.; one brother, Dean Chamberlain of Robertsdale, Pa.; two grandsons; nine stepgrandchildren; two great-grandsons; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; three nieces; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy L. Hawbaker, in 1962.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro. The Rev. Roger K. Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro; and Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Marcella Sprenkle
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Marcella Dile Sprenkle, 85, of 204 S. Oller Ave., died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Quincy United Methodist Home, Quincy, Pa.
Born Aug. 25, 1912, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Orlando H. and Barbara E. Hess Dile.
She attended Waynesboro area schools.
She had been employed at Waynesboro Knitting Mill and Waynesboro Shoe Factory. During World War II, she was employed at Fairchild Aviation, Hagerstown. Afterward, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro.
She was past matron of Mount Vernon Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Waynesboro; Falling Springs Chapter Order of Amaranth; AARP 739; and National AARP.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, R. Glen Sprenkle; two brothers, Kenneth Dile of Quincy and Paul Dile of Florida; and one sister, Gladys Jones of Fayetteville, Pa.
She was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Snyder-Lochstampfor Funeral Home, corners of South Church and West Second streets, Waynesboro. The Rev. Richard A. Seaks will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Gerard E. Driscoll
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Gerard E. Driscoll, 65, formerly of 1940 Maylinn Drive, Chambersburg, Pa., died Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at Caledonia Manor Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 22, 1932, in Long Branch, N.J., he was the son of the late William F. and Florence E. Layton Driscoll.
He was a 1950 graduate of Commerce High School, Boston.
He was a manager of Branch Electric in Glen Burnie, Md., for more than 20 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
He also was a member of national AARP.
He is survived by one sister, Kathryn M. Yanchuk of Chambersburg; one brother, Allen B. Driscoll of Chambersburg; one niece; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William T. Driscoll.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, with the Rev. Daniel F. Lawler as celebrant. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
There will be no public viewing.

Kimberly D. McDonald
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Kimberly Diane McDonald, 37, of 8135 Christy Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 30, 1960, in Waynesboro, Pa., she is the daughter of Charles E. and Leona Starliper Rock Gordon of St. Thomas, Pa., and the late Charles C. Rock.
She was a 1978 graduate of Greencastle High School.
She had been employed by the former Baer Packing Co., Greencastle. She was a former employee of Nitterhouse Concrete in Chambersburg and was last employed at Fresh Express in Greencastle.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Clarence Armstrong VFW Post 6241 in Mercersburg, and Veterans of Vietnam in Chambersburg.
She enjoyed animals and the outdoors.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Randolph D. McDonald Jr., whom she married April 15, 1994; two sisters, Tammy Starr of Mercersburg, and Katrina Pettner of Seneca, Mo.; two brothers, Charles Gordon Jr. of Mercersburg, and David Gordon of St. Thomas, Pa.; one stepsister, Anita Barnsly of Woodsboro, Md.; two nieces; and five nephews.
Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Greencastle Church of God. The Rev. Floyd E. Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
A viewing will be held at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Services for H. Wayne Decker, 80, of 1060 Myers Ave., who died Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, will be today at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Needmore. Pastor Charles E. Gummo will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Donald Bard and the Rev. Vernon Bauer. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Harold J. Peck
McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Harold J. "Howdy" Peck, 64, of RD 1, Box 579, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.
Born April 4, 1933, in Mercersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry C. and Eleanor Robinson Peck.
He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in 1994.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served in Korea and Vietnam, retiring in 1971 after 21 years of service.
He was a member of McConnellsburg FOVA and McConnellsburg American Legion Post 561.
He is survived by his wife, Yoshiko Kagawa Peck, whom he married in 1957; two daughters, Carol Frances Peck of McConnellsburg and Marion Ann Shaub of Ephrata, Pa.; two sons, Harry Gregory Peck and James Howard Peck, both of McConnellsburg; six sisters, Dorothy Keefer and Patsy Sanders, both of St. Thomas, Pa., Mary Hyatt of North Carolina, Marie Bard of Virginia, and Linda Hess and Debbie Heckman, both of Conestoga, Pa.; seven brothers, William Peck of Warfordsburg, Pa., James Peck of Delaware, Donald Peck, Robert Peck, Gary Peck and Neil Peck, all of McConnellsburg, and Richard Peck of Dry Run, Pa.; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Martha Jane Peck.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 N. Second St., McConnellsburg. The Rev. Doug Poffenberger will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg. Graveside military services will be conducted by Fulton Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. The funeral home will be open today from 2 to 9 p.m.
Danelle R. Thomas
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Danelle R. Thomas, 16, of 19 White House Road, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital, from injuries received in an automobile accident in Greene Township, Franklin County, Pa.
Born Aug. 7, 1981, in Carlisle, Pa., she was the daughter of David R. and Saundra L. Robinson Thomas of Shippensburg, and Delores Shaw of Shippensburg.
She was a sophomore at Shippensburg Area Senior High School, where she was enrolled in the data processing program at Franklin County Area Vocational Technical School.
She attended Brownsville Church of God in Fayetteville, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Karen J. Thomas of Shippensburg; five brothers, Kevin R. Thomas of Arendtsville, Pa., Scott J. Thomas of Chambersburg, Eric B. Thomas, James E. Thomas and Jeffrey Shaw, all of Shippensburg; maternal grandmother, Grace Keeseman of Carlisle, Pa.; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. The Rev. Victor Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery in Shippensburg.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
