William A. Zullinger
ORRSTOWN, Pa. - William A. Zullinger, 84, of 11250 Sandy Mount Road, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born Dec. 27, 1912, in Letterkenny Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Warren V. and S. Viola Sandoe Zullinger.
He was a self-employed farmer in Orrstown.
He was a member and deacon of the Old Order River Brethren.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Miller Zullinger; two daughters, Lillian M. Gayman of Orrstown and Esther V. Hoffeditz of Mercersburg, Pa.; one son, Nelson H. Zullinger of Chambersburg; six sisters, Ruth V. Gayman, Bertha P. Snyder, Janet L. Wenger, Dorothy M. Brechbill and Grace Reed, all of Chambersburg, and Mary V. Newcomer of Marion, Pa.; four brothers, Warren V. Zullinger Jr. of Newberg, Pa., Roy S. Zullinger of Shippensburg, Pa., Orville W. Zullinger of Chambersburg and Raymond R. Zullinger of Orrstown; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mable Gayman; and one brother, Paul Zullinger.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Salem United Brethren Church, 4349 Letterkenny Road, Chambersburg. Minister Eldon L. Heckman and Minister Joseph F. Conley will officiate. Burial will be in Brechbill Cemetery, Chambersburg.
Visitation will be at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and at the church Friday one hour prior to the service.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
Sterling D. Moyer
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Sterling D. Moyer, 63, of 9059 Meadowbrook Circle, died Monday, Nov. 24, 1997, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, Pa.
Born in Hamburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Lester R. and Esther M. Bower Moyer.
He was a 1951 graduate of Reading High School. He also was a graduate of University of Maryland with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics and political science. He attended Eastern Washington College in Cheney, Wash.
From 1959 to 1972, he worked in administration for IBM in Baltimore and as a data processing marketing representative in Hagerstown. From 1972 until his retirement in April 1997, he owned and operated a data collection and marketing business, and later a telemarketing business in his home.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War.
He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fairview Ward, Waynesboro. He was president of Fairview Ward's Young Men's Organization. He was a counselor for the York Stake for seven years and most recently was ward librarian for the Fairview Ward. He also was satellite specialist and employment specialist for the church.
He was a scoutmaster of Troop 31 at the Mormon Church for two years and scoutmaster of Troop 19, Evangelical Lutheran Church, for 13 years. He was on the aquatic staff for the Mason-Dixon Council and attended the 1985 and 1989 National Jamborees. He received the Silver Beaver Award from Boy Scouts of America and the Order of Merit Award.
He was a member of Phi Kappa and Sigma Nu Fraternity at the University of Maryland.
He is survived by three brothers, Lester M. Moyer of Boyertown, Pa., Stanley F. Moyer of Shillington, Pa., and Barry L. Moyer of Allison Park, Pa.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 93 Maugersmill Road, Pottstown, Pa. Bishop Stephen A. Leitz will officiate. Burial will be in Oley Union Cemetery, Oley Township, Spangsville, Pa.
There will be no viewing.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 5 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fairview Ward, Waynesboro, Pa. Bishop Gary Miller will officiate.

John F. Fierro
FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - John F. "Giovanni" Fierro, 81, of 127 Dymond Ave., who died Friday, Nov. 21, 1997, is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Vayda of Miami; three daughters, Carole Hubley of Annapolis, Arlene Stammer of Londonberry, N.H., and Lorraine Moore of Gladstone, Mo.; one son, John F. Fierro Jr. of Phoenix; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
M. Grace Forrester
GREENCASTLE, Pa. - M. Grace Forrester, 81, of 311 N. Carlisle St., and formerly of Fayetteville, Pa., died Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997, at her home, where she resided with her grandson, David C. Forrester.
Born Sept. 10, 1916, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Norman B. Wenger and Dessie May Little Wenger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Forrester, in 1982.
She had been employed by Knouse Foods, Chambersburg, Pa., and retired from Musselman Inc., Biglerville, Pa.
She attended Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg.
She is survived by two daughters, Minerva Ojanen of Fayetteville and Janice Hockenberry of Newburg, Pa.; two sons, Graydon Forrester and J. Robert Forrester, both of Newburg; two sisters, Lucille Cunningham of Mercersburg, Pa., and Daphney Upperman of Fayetteville; two brothers, Richard Wenger of St. Thomas, Pa., and Raymond Wenger of Chambersburg; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and her stepmother, Treacie Wenger of Fayetteville.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Bernice McKelvey; and three brothers.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, 465 Center St., Chambersburg. The Rev. Kevin Witter and the Rev. Daniel H. Kelchner will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

BIG COVE TANNERY, Pa. - Helen F. DeLancey, 87, of HCR 81, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, Pa.
Born Oct. 21, 1910, in Amaranth, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Oliver M. and Birdie A. Smith True.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. DeLancey, in 1983.
She had worked for families in the Warfordsburg, Pa., Needmore, Pa., and Hancock areas as a private in-home care giver for the sick and elderly for many years.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by one son, James H. DeLancey of Chambersburg, Pa.; one sister, Clora Pearl Culp of Hancock; three brothers, Huber O. True of Baltimore, Shurley B. True of Warfordsburg and Herman D. True of Big Cove Tannery; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock. The Rev. Robert G. Brennan Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open today from 2 to 9 p.m.
Mary D.F. Scott
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary D. Fogle Scott, 86, a resident of Menno Haven, and formerly of Waynesboro, Pa., died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born April 16, 1911, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Franklin E. and Mary Stoner Fogle. She lived most of her life in the Waynesboro area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell Omar Scott, in 1969.
She attended Snider Avenue School in Waynesboro.
In her early life, she was employed by Waynesboro Knitting Mill, then worked at Newberry's, Waynesboro, and did seasonal work for Musselman's. Prior to retiring in 1981, she was a dishwasher at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School cafeteria for 13 years.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Waynesboro.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris M. Warren of Waynesboro; three sons, LaMar K. Johnson of Chambersburg, Pa., Earl K. "Pete" Johnson of Greencastle, Pa., and Dennis M. Scott of Shippensburg, Pa.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena Doyle and Nettie Bohn; and four brothers, Ernest Fogle, Roy Fogle, Calvin Fogle and Robert Fogle.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Lin M. Smalec and the Rev. John F. Huff will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Amanda L.P. Rickard
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Amanda L. Pryor Rickard, 52, of 145 N. Potomac St., died Friday, Nov. 21, 1997, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born Sept. 3, 1945, in Carlisle, Pa., she was the daughter of Bertha Taylor of Waynesboro. She lived her early life in Carlisle and Harrisburg, Pa.
She attended New Jerusalem Community Church, Waynesboro.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her common-law husband, Ernest C. McKenzie Jr.; four sons, Victor A. Pryor, Greg Pryor, Frederick A. Rickard and Jeffrey R. Rickard, all of Waynesboro; and six grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at New Jerusalem Community Church, West Main Street, Waynesboro. Pastor Leroy C. McKenzie will officiate. Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m.

Mabel R. Bricker
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mabel R. Bricker, 78, of 2539 Edenville Road, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1997, at her home.
Born Aug. 11, 1919, in St. Thomas, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harvey J. and A. Pearl Keller Dice.
She was a homemaker. She also did domestic work in the Chambersburg area from 1949 to 1993.
She was a member of Chambersburg Bible Church, Chambersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel B. Bricker, whom she married on Nov. 23, 1939; one daughter, Nancy J. Stumbaugh of Chambersburg; one brother, Marvin J. Dice of Fayetteville, Pa.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles S. Dice.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Chambersburg Bible Church, 810 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg. The Rev. John R. Springer and the Rev. David W. Kraft will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
