GEORGE A. BUSCH JR.
George A. Busch Jr., 53, of Tarrs, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at the residence of his loving brother, James. Born Dec. 4, 1946, in McKeesport, he was a loving son of the late George A. Busch Sr. and Sophie Kundick Busch. He was the former owner and founder of Busch Auto Glass in Hunker and Busch Distributing in Tarrs. He graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic High School in 1964, and was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the submarine service from 1966-1969 during the Vietnam era. George was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the American Legion Post 446 in Mt. Pleasant. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving brother, James Busch Sr., and sister-in-law, Fran Busch of Hunker; loving nephews, James Busch Jr. and wife, Mindy, of Ruffsdale and Aaron Busch and wife, Debbie, of Bethel Park; loving great-niece, Kaylee Natasha Busch; loving sisters , Paulette Busch and fiance, Gary Show, of Scottdale, Charlotte Trigona and family from Somerset, and Deloris Hodder and family from Virginia; and lifelong friend, Lois Norcera, and son, George, of Greensburg. Velma M. "Boots" Hartman Ferguson, 80, of Irwin, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in the Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was born Feb. 21, 1920, in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late William and Martiena Middah Hartman. She was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers , William and Robert Hartman. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, William R. Ferguson; a daughter, Pamela Imberlina and her husband, Gregory, of Pittsburgh; and two grandchildren, Joseph and Maria Imberlina. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH F. Shelton S. "Sonny" Heck Sr., 60, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, in the Monsour Medical Center, Jeannette. He was born Aug. 26, 1939, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Shelton and Mary Quenie Heck. He was a retired employee of the H.J. Heinz Co. of Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of the Vietnam era, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 359 of Irwin and VFW Post 781 of North Huntingdon. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Adrienne Sells Heck; a son, Shelton S. Heck Jr. of North Huntingdon; two daughters , Renee Nicolette and her husband, Eric, of Donegal and Rolande "Ro" Brant of Irwin; six grandchildren, Billy, Danielle, Harry, Joshua, Nicky and Nathan "Little Randy"; four great-grandchildren, including Austin; and a brother, Jack Heck of McKees Rocks. Carol A. (Szmuc) Miller, 48, of Hempfield Township, died Saturday, June 24, 2000. She was born Dec. 24, 1951, in McKeesport, a daughter of Thomas and Sarah (Tarker) Szmuc of North Versailles. She was employed as a unit clerk at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was a member of the Brush Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hempfield Township. Survivors include her husband, James A. James R. Palmer, 57, of Latrobe, died Friday, June 23, 2000, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born June 16, 1943, in Latrobe, a son of the late Leo J. and Ruth M. Friedline Palmer. He was a member of Holy Family Church in Latrobe. He was an employee of ABB T&D of South Greensburg, a member of the Frontier Club of Latrobe and a member of the Lloydsville Firemen's Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelley Anne Palmer; and five brothers , Edward, Thomas, William, John and Robert Palmer. He is survived by his wife, Gloria J. Hannah Blankette Pinto, 81, of Chalfont, Pa., formerly of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, in Grandview Hospital, Sellersville, Pa. She was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Irwin, a daughter of the late Peter R. and Ruth Plank Blankette. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church, Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, W. Raymond Blankette, in 1986. She is survived by a son, Vincent J. Pinto of Chalfont; a sister-in-law; and two nephews. Rose M. Plundo, 86, of Greensburg, died Friday, June 23, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Born Jan. 5, 1914, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late Nicola and Antonia Pagila Marino. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church and its Rosary Altar Society and a former member of the Italian Women's Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Spino; and four brothers , Daniel, Peter, George and Michael Marino. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Mario W. Plundo; a son, Richard M. She was the owner of the Superior Dry Cleaners, Trafford, for almost 70 years, with her late husband, Carl J. Shupik, who died in 1996, and her son, Carl R. Shupik of Trafford. DR. GEORGE GUSTOV BAUROTH
Dr. George Gustov Bauroth, 70, of Rochester, N.H., died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at the Riverside Rest Home, suddenly after a long illness. Born Oct. 3, 1929, in New Haven, Conn., he was a son of the late Charles and Katherine (Morrissey) Bauroth. Dr. Bauroth had lived in Rochester for the past two years, having moved from Latrobe. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of Connecticut in 1970. He was an emeritus professor at St. Vincent College, where he taught political science for more than 30 years. He was a member of the American Political Science Association, the American Legion Post #515, Latrobe, and a past member of the Keystone Diving Club and the Youngstown Firemen's Club. He was an enthusiastic skin diver and spelunker, with a great love of travel which he passed on to his children. Members of his family include his wife of 40 years, Phyllis (Daley) Bauroth of Rochester, N.H.; his sons , Charles Bauroth and wife, Vicki, of Bedford, Texas , Francis Bauroth of Dallas, Texas , Nicholas Bauroth and wife, Amy, of Chicago, Ill., and Joshua Bauroth of Chicago, Ill.; his daughters , Monica Bauroth of Rochester, N.H., Brigid Bauroth of Somersworth, N.H., Anastasia Bauroth and her fiance, Eric Sherman, of Flourtown, Erika Bauroth of Glenside, and Rebecca Bauroth of Chicago, Ill.; his granddaughter and great-grandson, Katrina Rodriguez and Dominic Rodriguez, both of Bedford, Texas ; his sisters , Anna Rowsome of West Haven, Conn., and Helen Klein of Wallingford, Conn.; and an AFS son, Volker Wagner of Germany.
