MAXINE MCCAULEY

Maxine "Maude" McCauley, 83, of Jeannette, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, in the William Penn Care Center, Penn Township. She was born Aug. 30, 1916, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Josiah and Lavada McQuay Reeger. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Jeannette, the Grandview Women's Club and the B.P.O.E. #486 Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence J. "Alex" McCauley; and a sister, Vivian Osborne. She is survived by a daughter, Marlene McCauley of Jeannette; a brother, Earle Reeger of Las Vegas; and a sister, Marion Gardner of Manor. Friends received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dale W. Roddy officiating. Interment will follow in the Brush Creek Cemetery, Irwin.

THOMAS TUSKAN

Thomas Tuskan, 75, of Manor, died, June 18, 2000, in Penn Township. He was born July 20, 1924, in Wall. He was an iron worker for Roche brothers in Braddock, and a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 157th engineering group. He was a member of the VFW Post #781, the American Legion Post #472 in Manor and St. Joseph's Polish Club, Westmoreland City. He also was a member of St. Boniface Church in Penn. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Tuskan and Catherine Hovatic Tuskan; his wife, Florence E. Voll Tuskan; four brothers , George, Joseph, Michael and Carl Tuskan; two sisters , Ann Hudson and Mary Lavelle. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. James (Pamela) Burke of Cortland, Ill.; a brother, John Tuskan of Manor; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Burke. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.J. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 140 Race St., Manor. Blessing service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

ROCKY (ROBERT E.) WALLER JR.

Rocky (Robert E.) Waller Jr., 51, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at his home. Friends received Monday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. Interment will follow in Transfiguration parish cemetery.

RUTH DELORES (CHEW) BURNS

Ruth Delores (Chew) Burns, 72, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at the Integrated Health Services, Greensburg facility. She was born June 22, 1927, in Herminie #2, a daughter of the late Edward L. and Myrtle (Loughner) Chew. Mrs. Burns was a homemaker. Mrs. Burns was an active member of the Middletown United Methodist Church, where she served on the Board of Elders, was a lay minister, lay leader, and Sunday school teacher, participated as a member of the church choir and also served on the Centennial Committee. Mrs. Burns was a member of the Ethel James Rebekah Lodge #515, Adamsburg, where she served as past Noble Grand. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Thomas Burns Sr., in 1989; a granddaughter, Laurie Lynn Burns, in 1994; four brothers , Robert, Edward, Dwaine and Howard Chew; and two sisters , Twyle Carroll and Lorraine Chew. Mrs. Burns is survived by a son, Wayne Thomas Burns Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Herminie; three daughters , Debbie Bard of Chambersburg, Ruthie Burns of Monroeville, and Roxanne Smith and her husband, Lawrence, of Meadville; four grandchildren, Jason, Marc, Matthew, and Justin; a brother, James Chew of Herminie #2; four sisters , Lottie McAlpin of Greensburg, Dorothy Spoonhoward of Herminie #2, Catherine "Katy" Mellinger, of Herminie, and Jane Henry of Greensburg. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Herminie, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Bossart officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland Cemetery.

HAZEL I. CLIFFORD

Hazel I. Clifford, 102, of Indiana, Pa., formerly of Trafford, died Monday, June 19, 2000, in Emerson Square Personal Care Home, Indiana. She was born Feb. 25, 1898, in Ligonier, a daughter of the late Nelson and Jessie Richards Clifford. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a clerk for Westinghouse, East Pittsburgh. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Trafford and a member of the Trafford Women's Club and Trafford Senior Citizen Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers , Donald and Dean Clifford; and a sister, Marie Noel. Surviving is a nephew, Ronald Noel of Ligonier. Friends were received Tuesday evening at the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME, 429 Duquesne Ave., Trafford. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

BEATRICE (RUPERT) BALOG COLWELL

Beatrice (Rupert) Balog Colwell, 81, of Shaler Township, on Tuesday, June 20, 2000. She was a retired clerk for K-Mart. She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Colwell. mother of Dolores Klein, Karen Jeffery, Joan Sentner, Donna Cramer and Michael Balog. Sister of Ralph Rupert. Grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 27. Preceded in death by her son, Raymond Balog; a brother, John Rupert; and sisters , Catherine Warnick and Dolores Lohman. Friends will be received Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the FRANK R. PERMAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. at Route 8, Shaler Township. Parish wake service Thursday at 2:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Etna.

BEATRICE M. DONLON

Beatrice M. Donlon, 95, of Green Meadows, Unity Township, formerly of Long Island, N.Y., died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, in Green Meadows. She was born June 14, 1905, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a daughter of the late Alexander and Julia Duffy Cross. She was a member of St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Donlon Sr.; three brothers ; and three sisters . Survivors include two sons , John F. Donlon and his wife, Patricia, of Greensburg RD8 and Vincent Donlon and his wife, Pamela, of Virginia Beach, Va.; and three grandchildren, Stephanie Donlon, Megan Donlon and Erin Donlon. Friends will be received Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent Basilica. Interment Saturday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y.

ELIZABETH E. FELICE

Elizabeth E. "Libby" Felice, 84, of Burlington, N.J., died Monday, June 19, 2000, at home. She was born and raised in Greensburg. She traveled throughout the world during her late husband's U.S. Army military career. She was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Beverly, N.J. She was an avid bingo player. She was the beloved wife of the late James C. Felice. She is survived by a son, James C. Felice Jr. of Rancocas, N.J.; a daughter, Victoria Mehalchick of Burlington, N.J.; three grandchildren, Christina Sneddon of Mt. Laurel, N.J., Traci Soloman of Mt. Laurel, N.J., and Beth Mehalchick of Burlington, N.J.; a great-granddaughter, Sabrina Soloman; a sister, Victoria Spino of Greensburg; a brother, Justin Pardi of Latrobe; and other relatives and dear friends. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Warren Street, Beverly, N.J. Jay A. George, 65, of Harrison Park, died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, in his home. He was born Nov. 5, 1934, in Harrison City, a son of the late John and Florence Holtzer George. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Westinghouse in Trafford and ABB in Greensburg. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Harrison City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Gionghi. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra Prady George; a daughter, Debbie and husband, Mark Vochinsky, of Manor; and two grandchildren, David Brammell Jr. and Amy Brammell. JANET C. HEWITT

Janet C. Hewitt, 85, of Latrobe, died Monday, June 19, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Born Aug. 30, 1914, in Point Marion, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Bertha Black Conn. She was a member of Latrobe Presbyterian Church and a former deacon of the church, a member of Latrobe Country Club and Latrobe Women's Club and was very active with the Union Mission of Latrobe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Hewitt, in 1971; a son, Thomas W. Hewitt; a brother, Glenn Conn; and a sister, Mae Moore. She is survived by two daughters , Pamela Jardine of Mt. Lebanon and Mrs. John (Katherine) Wisniewski of Latrobe; a daughter-in-law, Karyn Hewitt of West Dennis, Mass.; six grandchildren, John, Jeffrey, Jason, Jill, Stephanie and Scott; a brother, Frank Conn of Apollo; and two sisters , Mrs. Wells (Marion) Haberstick of Saltsburg and Anna Thomas of Latrobe. Friends will be received at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Unity Chapel with the Rev. HELEN D. KREMPASKY

Helen D. Krempasky, 83, of Metropolis, Ill., formerly of Star Junction, died Sunday, June 18, 2000, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis. She was born Dec. 28, 1916, in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Staroski Lonce. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church of Metropolis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; and three brothers . She is survived by her husband, Klement Krempasky of Metropolis; a sister, Rose Salina of Arizona; and a brother, Andrew Lonce of Star Junction. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the L.L. BARTHELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Second Street, Smithton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9 a.m. in Seven Dolors Roman Catholic Church, Yukon, with Father Paul Stivason as celebrant. JOSEPH E. KUZEMCZAK

Joseph E. Kuzemczak, 73, of Latrobe, died Monday, June 19, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Jan. 11, 1927 in Latrobe, a son of the late Michael and Anna Rellick Kuzemczak. Prior to retirement, he had been employed at Teledyne-Vasco, Latrobe, for 38 years. He was a graduate of Derry High School, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Derry Drum and Bugle Corps, and was a lifetime member of the Ukrainian Society, the Rod and Gun Club of Derry and the Kingston Vets and Sportsmen's Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude Wilson Kuzemczak in 1980. Joe is survived by his wife, Dolores I. Shrum Kuzemczak; three sons , Joseph M. and his wife, Margaret "Cookie," and Michael A. and his wife, Jennie, all of Blairsville, and Brian E. and his wife, Kathy, of Latrobe; a daughter, Deborah Kuzemczak of Derry; a stepson, Robert C. Taylor and his wife, Laurie, of Latrobe; three stepdaughters, Debra and her husband, Paul Staschak, of Florida, Mona and her husband, Paul Brant, of Ligonier and Julie and her husband, John Sessi, of Derry; eight grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; five stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters , Mrs. Tom (Betty J.) Mrozenski of Derry and Mrs. Gene (Rose Marie) Burkley of Erie; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the MICHAEL J. QUINLISK FUNERAL HOME INC., 548 N. Chestnut St., Derry. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Xavier Elambassery officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Derry. The VFW will conduct services Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
