Mary June Nicholson Colvin, 46, of Sutersville, died Monday, March 6, 2000, in Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Borough. She was born Aug. 3, 1953, in McKeesport, a daughter of Gerald "Bud" and June Thompson Nicholson of Smithdale. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Steve Colvin; a son, Bryan Colvin at home; and a sister, Connie Nicholson of Sutersville. Friends received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J. WILLIAM McCAULEY JR. CHARLES L. DONATO
Charles L. Donato, 79, of Ligonier, died suddenly Sunday, March 5, 2000, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born May 24, 1920, in Latrobe, a son of the late Joseph and Josephine Perino Donato. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Ligonier. He was owner-operator of Donato's Sunoco Service Station for 50 years, until 1982, and had been a foreman for the Pennsylvania Department of Highways in the Ligonier area for many years, until his retirement in 1992. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Donato. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Genevieve Antonio Donato; three daughters , Karen and her husband, Dr. James R. Lynch Sr., of Greensburg, Kathy Ann Donato of Bethesda, Md., and Barbara D. Stonehouse of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren, James R. Lynch Jr. and his wife, Julie, of Twinsburg, Ohio, Rachel Virginia Lynch of Columbus, Ohio, Loren C. Bevevino of Bethesda Md., Amber R. Stonehouse, a student at Georgetown University, and Garrett Stonehouse and his wife, Jodi, of Westport, Conn.; and three precious great-grandchildren, Garrett III, and Cameron and Cayley Stonehouse; and two sisters , Margaret Bates of Ligonier and Rose Arch of Williamsburg, Va. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Ligonier, with the Rev. Joseph P. Maddalena as celebrant. Private interment for the family will be in St. Vincent Cemetery. In his memory, contributions may be made to the Bethlen Home, Ligonier, or the Holy Trinity Church Aid-A-Student Scholarship Program. Jane Elizabeth Errett, 69, of Irwin, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1930, in Edna #2, a daughter of the late Mary J. Lacina Errett. She was a graduate of Irwin High School, class of 1948, and was a R.SS processor at Westinghouse Electric, Semi-Conductor Plant, Youngwood. Survived by a sister, Mary Ann and husband, Harry Walter, of Manor; three nieces, Carol Ann Durst, Linda Walter, and Sandra Mondock; a nephew, Terry Walter; and a great-niece, Joyce Ann Durst, all of Manor. Friends were received at the VINCENT V. EVELYN M. ERWIN
Evelyn M. Erwin, 92, of Greensburg, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, in Hempfield Manor. She was born Dec. 27, 1907, in Hempfield Township, a daughter of the late Ruben and Carrie Simpson Croushore. She was a member of the First Trinity United Church of Christ in Youngwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Joe" Erwin; a son, Joseph Junior Erwin; six brothers ; and three sisters . She is survived by two sisters , Carrie Stahl of Tampa, Fla., and Ruth Chedrick of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Violet E. Hart, 74, of Penn Township, died Monday, March 6, 2000, in her home. She was born March 9, 1925, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Eckenrod Gross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Hart Sr., in 1992; and three brothers , Louis Jr., Frank, and Edward Gross. She is survived by two sons , Donald E. Hart Jr. of Penn Township and Ronald E. Hart of Greensburg; a brother, John Gross of Fort Gratiot, Mich.; a sister, Goldie Douglas of Cleveland, Ohio; three granddaughters, Paula VanHoose, Melissa Ray, and Jessica Myers; and two great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Mikala. MICHAEL L. HEILMAN SR.
Michael L. Heilman Sr., 31, of Uniontown, won his battle with his family at his side and went to be with God, Sunday, March 5, 2000, in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital in Oakland. He was born April 15, 1968, in Uniontown, the son of Robert L. Sr. and Dolores (Burgess) Heilman of Uniontown. Mr. Heilman was preceded in death by a son, Cody Heilman; and his grandparents. He was a security specialist for Loss Prevention Inc. in Pittsburgh, a member of the Hutchinson Sportsmen's Club in Hopwood, and a member of the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, and a 1987 graduate of Laurel Highlands Senior High School. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Susan E. (Stefancik), whom he married Feb. 14, 1991; four children, Michael L. Heilman Jr., Bailee M. Heilman, Cole M. Heilman, and Max M. Heilman, all at home; a brother, Robert L. Heilman Jr. of Connellsville; a sister, Lisa DeMaiolo of Monaca, Pa.; grandmother, Ruth Kay of Uniontown; his Father - and mother -in-law, Emery and Irene Stefancik of Harrison City; and many caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and numerous special friends. Adam J. Kravice, 78, of Brown Street, Everson, died Sunday evening, March 5, 2000, in Highland's Hospital, Connellsville, where he was admitted Saturday. Louise Baughman Krnosky, 81, of Mt. Pleasant RD1 (Norvelt), died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born Nov. 21, 1918, in Pleasant Unity, the daughter of the late Daniel and Bertha Kachera Baughman. She was a member of the Transfiguration Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, in August of 1995; and a brother, Clarence Baughman. She is survived by two children, Barbara Yanuck and her husband, Stanley, of Mt. Pleasant, and Gerald Krnosky and his wife, Irene, of Mt. Pleasant RD1 (Norvelt); three grandsons, David Yanuck of Bear Rocks, Michael Yanuck of Scottdale, and Douglas Krnosky of Greensburg; six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Jeffrey, Kristen, and Mackenzie Yanuck, and Alex and Eric Krnosky. Lottie L. Loughner, 85, of Penn Township, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born Sept. 10, 1914, in Harrison City, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Nora Hill Bollinger. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Harrison City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Loughner, in 1981; and two brothers , Benjamin and Herbert Bollinger. She is survived by a son, Milton J. and wife, Mary Loughner, of Penn Township; a daughter, Janet and husband, Wayne Watson, of Larimer; a brother, Daniel Bollinger of West Middlesex; five sisters , Mary Cline of Harrison City, Dolores Kebler of Export, Audrey Poole of Greensburg, Mae Stull of Donegal, and Betty Bollinger of West Middlesex; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Anna Rebecca Miller Nicholson, 89, of Mt. Pleasant RD1 (Norvelt), died Monday, March 6, 2000, in IHS of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. She was born Feb. 24, 1911, in Calumet, a daughter of the late Logan F. and Dora Belle Hamilton Miller. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the American Heating Company, Greensburg. She was a life member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trauger, with 34 years of perfect attendance. She also was a member of its ELCA and a retired Sunday school teacher; and a member of the Mt. Pleasant and Norvelt Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; and the following brothers and sisters : Laura Lowers, Hazel Peffer, L. Francis Miller, Henrietta Miller, Elizabeth Baker Ault, William F. Miller, Robert J. Miller, Martha Miller and Dora Belle Angus; and three nephews, George Lowers and Donald and Robert Peffer. She is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Iome Peffer, Jean Anspach, Logan Lowers, Helen Bell, Lois Shaffer, Lorraine Marshall, Erna Marie Borland, Paul Miller, Carl Miller, Howard Baker, Leona Lewis, William, Wayne, Clair, Arthur and Logan Miller, John Duane Angus, and Karen Lipyance (who lovingly attended to her aunt's needs). Philip L. Pacelli, 79, of Jeannette, died Sunday, March 5, 2000, at home. He was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Jeannette, a son of the late Antonio and Martella Crete Pacelli. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Westinghouse Electric Co., Electro-Mechanical Division in Cheswick. He was a member of the Ascension Church of Jeannette, a member and past president of the church's Holy Name Society and also past president of the Deanery. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers , James, Michael, Joseph and Edward Pacelli. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rose Williams Pacelli; two sons , Robert and William Pacelli, both of Jeannette; four sisters , Teresa Pacelli and Elizabeth Rugito, both of Jeannette, Mrs. Harry (Dolores) Baird of Florida and Antoinette Hensberger of Laurel, Md.; two brothers , Victor Pacelli of Greensburg and John Pacelli of Jeannette; five grandchildren, Donna, Paul and Diana of Lower Burrell, and Kristin and Anthony of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nellie O. Osenkoski Pierce, 89, of Irwin, died Monday, March 6, 2000, in the Presbyterian Senior Care Center, Oakmont. She was born Jan. 24, 1911, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Anthony and Pauline Golkoski Osenkoski. Prior to retirement, she was a telephone operator for the Department of the Army. She was a breeder of teacup poodles and other fine breeds of dogs. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel "Slim" Pierce; a son, Joseph R. Jackson; a grandson, Joseph B. Jackson; and six brothers and sisters . Surviving are six grandchildren, Cheryl Jackson, Darla Paganini, Lisa Danza, John Jackson, Heather Squire and Randy Jackson; seven great- grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Jackson of North Hills; and several nieces and nephews. Naomi B. Steele, 87, of Latrobe, died Monday, March 6, 2000, in IHS at Mountain View, Unity Township. She was born June 11, 1912, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Tillie (Gibson) Bushfield. Naomi was a member of the Latrobe Presbyterian Church. Prior to her retirement, she was the store manager for the former Fulton Piano and Organ Co. She also gave lessons in playing the piano and the organ, and played the organ for the United Presbyterian Church in Latrobe from 1932 to 1946, and for the Latrobe Roller Garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters , Florence Kennelty and Suzanne Bushfield. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, John G. Steele; three daughters , Joanne Nicely and husband, Richard, of Fort Myers, Fla., Martha McGinnis and husband, William, of Latrobe, and Nancy Combs and husband, Tommy, of Lexington, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
