Clarence "Pap" House, 81, of Lewisberry, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at his home.
A WWII Army Veteran, he was a retired electrician from Bethlehem Steel. He was a Lifetime member of River Rescue of Harrisburg, New Cumberland VFW Post No. 7415, New Cumberland American Legion Post No. 143, Steelton Moose Lodge No. 382, Steelton Fire Department, and Dauphin County Fire Chiefs and Fire Police Association. He was a blood donor having donated 23 ½ gallons and an avid stamp collector.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah J. Mentzer House; two daughters, Patricia A. Lepley and Dorothy J. Flickinger both of New Cumberland: seven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30am Saturday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland.
Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp. Viewing will be from 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.

Betty V. Hunsinger
Betty V. (Leljedal) Hunsinger, 78, of Mechanicsburg, PA, and formerly of Silver Spring Twp., died Thursday, June 28, 2001 at Manor Care, Carlisle.
She was born April 14, 1923 in Towanda, PA, to the late Leonard and Flossie P. Leljedal
She was a 1941 graduate of Towanda Area High School, Towanda; and she loved her grand children very much and was very involved in their lives.
She was the widow of Major Paul W. Hunsinger., U.S. Airforce, ret. She is survived by two sons, Ronald J., New Cumberand, and Chris A., Mechanicsburg; two daughters, Pamela L. Bretz, Shermansdale, and Linda K. Makar, Dillsburg; Jack Leljedal, Towanda, two sisters, Ella Ferguson and Hazel Rehfeldt, both of Towanda; a sister in law, Audrey Sheppard, Annandale, VA; 6 grand children; 6 great grand children; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 am Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Pastor Eugene Hockenberry officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National cemetery, South Hanover Twp.
Viewing will be 6-8pm Monday in the funeral home.

Helen W. Jones
Helen W. Jones, 93, of Brethren Home, New Oxford and formerly of Lemoyne died Saturday April 21, 2001 in Hanover Hospital.
She was a retired bookkeeper for Harrisburg Academy, East Pennsboro Twp. and a former employee of the former Myers Oldsmobile, Lemoyne. She was a former member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lemoyne.
She was born September 13, 1907 in Harrisburg, PA to the late George & Catherine (Snyder) Witmer.
She is survived by a daughter Janet J. Stoner of Lewisberry; 2 sons, Samuel L. Jones, MD of New Cumberland and Robert L. Jones of York Haven; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 pm Tuesday April 24, 2001 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Paxtang cemetery, Swatara Twp.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday in the funeral home.

David D. Kelley
David D. Kelley, 53, of Camp Hill, died Thursday, May 10, 2001 at his residence.
He was an Electrical Estimator and Planner for Navy Depot, Mechanicsburg; a Navy Veteran; formerly active in Boy Scouts of America; and he enjoyed golf and gardening.
He was born July 17, 1947 in Waynesburg, PA to his late Father Delmar Kelley and his mother Ada R. (Elkin) English. A brother Lonnie L. Kelley preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Janet L. Ainsley Kelley; two sons, Andrew T. Kelley, Laurinburg, NC, and Timothy A. Kelley, Camp Hill; his mother, Ada R. English, Smithsburg, MD; a sister Marla L. Barkdoll, Smithsburg, MD; two step brothers, Robert English, Rices Landing, PA, and William English, Allison Park, PA; and two grand children.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Carl Ford Peterson officiating.

Richard N. King
Richard N. King, 74, of New Cumberland, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
A WWII Navy Veteran, He was a retired office manager for Ingersol Rand, Lewisberry. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
He was born August 7, 1926 in Lewistown, PA to the late Joseph N. and Marcella (Madigan) King.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline B. Gibarty King; four sons: Richard N. of East Pennsboro, Robert G. of New Cumberland, David G. of Enola, and Daniel G. also of New Cumberland; two sisters: Kathleen M. Pierce of Camp Hill and Betty R. Phelps of Boston, MA; and three grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Celebration will be celebrated at 10am Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Inurnment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

Marjorie E. (Bitting) Kipp, 77, formerly of Harrisburg died Saturday, June 16, 2001 in Camp Hill Care Center, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a retired Supervisor of records for the central area of Bell of Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Cumberland; formerly attended the former St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Harrisburg; and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was born 7/28/23 in Marysville, PA to the late George W. & Minnie M. (Fissel) Bitting.
She was the widow of Charles A. Kipp and is survived by a daughter Linda R. Daugherty of Camp Hill; 3 brothers, George W. Bitting of New Cumberland, Larry G. Bitting of Lemoyne and James D. Bitting of Goldsboro, NC; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 11 am Wednesday 6/20/01 in her church with the Rev. Ronald Sell officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
Visitation will be ½ hour prior to services Wednesday in the church.

Joseph Kowaleski, Sr.
Joseph Kowaleski, Sr., of the Chateau House, Camp Hill, and formerly of Mallard Run Apts., Camp Hill, Harrisburg, and Hanover, died Thursday, May 24, 2001 at his residence.
He was a retired Shipping Foreman for over 42 years with Glen-Gery Brick, Harrisburg; was a Catholic; was fond of gardening; and loved his many friends at Mallard Run Apartments and The Chateau House.
He was born July 4, 1917, in Shamokin, PA, to the late Frank and Bernice (Mrowka) Kowaleski.
He is survived by a son Joseph Kowaleski, Jr., of Dillsburg; a daughter Diane L. Gazder, Long Beach, NY; three sisters, Stella Sienkiewicz, Mechanicsburg, Hedy Castle, Wellsboro, and Florence Sienkiewicz, Kulpmont; 2 grand children; and many friends at Mallard Run Apts. and The Chateau House.

Shirley M. (McClimans) Kremkau, 72, of Camp Hill died Wednesday, May 24, 2001 in her residence.
She was a member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church.
She was born 5/4/29 in Greenville, PA to the late Chauncey & Bernice (McNeal) McClimans.
She is survived by her husband William L. Kremkau; a daughter Cheryl L. Layos of Fairview Twp.; a brother Stanley E. McClimans of Mechanicsburg; 2 sisters, Doris J. Fitting of Camp Hill and Dianna Murphy of New Wilmington, PA; and a granddaughter Sacha M. Layos of Fairbanks, Alaska.
Memorial service will be held 1 pm Tuesday May 15, 2001 in her church. The Rev. Ronald E. Bowersox and the Rev. Dennis E. Snider will preside. Private committal will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

She was a retired Binder for Fry Communications, Inc., Mechanicsburg. She enjoyed fishing and bowling.
She was born March 2, 1922 in Middletown.
Two sons, Charles P. Levarto of New Cumberland and Thomas E. Levarto of Enola; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren survive her.

John R. McClain
John R. "Jack" McClain, 82, of Lower Allen Twp. died Friday June 15, 2001 in his residence.
He was a retired Supply Technician for the former Ships Parts Control Center, Hampden Twp. and was formerly an aircraft electronics technician for the former Olmstead Air Force Base, Middletown. He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and American Legion Post 1001, North Harrisburg.
He was born August 12, 1918 in Altoona to the late Robert I. And Julia R. (Canty) McClain.
He is survived by his wife Margaret H. "Peg" (Endler) McClain; a son Patrick M. of Camp Hill; a daughter Michele A. Morrison of Dillsburg; a half sister Gloria Meintel of Ft. Wayne, IN; 4 grandchildren and a great grandson.

Neil McCloskey, 73, of Camp Hill and formerly of Altoona died Sunday March 18, 2001in Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH.
He was a retired Director of Construction for A&P Corporation, Grocers, Altoona Division; a former Project Manager with several Harrisburg Area General Contractors; and was the owner of Gemini Gymnastics School, Altoona. He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Allendale, Camp Hill, PA; Bellefonte Lodge 268, F&AM, Bellefonte, PA; Harrisburg Consistory and its Capital Area Scottish Rite Club; Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg where he was past president and currently treasurer of the Oriental Band Unit and a member of its Luncheon Club; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 43, Harrisburg and its Clown Unit; Lancaster County Shrine Club; Jaffa Shrine, Altoona where he was past president of its Oriental Band Unit; Altoona Consistory; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 131, Holidaysburg; current secretary / treasurer of Mid-Atlantic Shrine Oriental Band Association; and past president and past Zone Director for Green Lane Farms Association.
He was born July 4, 1927 in Jersey Shore, PA to the late Bethel & Edna (Hoy) McCloskey.
He is survived by his wife Helen M. (Somerville) McCloskey; 2 daughters, Susan Brachat of Lyndhurst, OH and Shawn Leidy of Altoona; 2 sons, Patrick McCloskey of Camp Hill and Wesley McCloskey of Altoona; and 5 grandchildren.
Services will be held 7:15 pm Wednesday March 21, 2001 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be 11:30 am Thursday in Alto Reste cemetery, Altoona.

A WWII Navy Veteran, he was a retired General Foreman for the former Conrail. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and most recently Holy Infant Catholic Church, York Haven; Lodge of the Temple of Bayonne, NJ, F & AM; and Railroad Veterans Association.
He was born February 15, 1929 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Edward McCormick McConnell and Rachel McGinnis McConnell.
The widow of Helen E. Fitzpatrick McConnell, he is survived by two sons, James E. Jr., of Dallas, TX and Thomas F. of Etters; three daughters, Cynthia Dvorak of Wildwood, MO, Rachel M. Richard of Beverly Hills, MI, and Shawn M. Super of Etters; eleven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was born January 9, 1929 in Masontown, Fayette Co., PA to the late Stewart & Bessie (Arison) Miller.
He is survived by his wife Lois J. (Rice) Miller; a son Richard B. Miller of Etters; a brother Stewart of Mayfield Heights, OH; 3 sisters, LaVerne Nimmo of Towson, MD, V. Mercedes Beatty of Steelton and E. Elaine LaMar of Harrisburg; 2 grandchildren.

He was a retired plumber for the C.W. Fritz Co., Harrisburg and a truck driver. He was a Korean War Air Force veteran, a member of David's Church, Millersburg and attended Dover United Church of Christ, Dover.
He was born November 8, 1934 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Albert & Beulah (Moser) Murray.
He is survived by his wife Millie I. (Spicher) Murray; a son Joseph Cole of Steelton; a brother Ralph Murray of Dover; 2 grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 10:30 am Saturday June 16, 2001 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in David's Church cemetery, Millersburg.
