Marie S. Ridge, 91, formerly of Camp Hill, died Tuesday, March 22, 2000 at the Jewish Home of Harrisburg.
She was born August 13, 1908 in Reliance, VA to the late James W. and Lucy Martin Sloop.
She was a retired nurse with Dr. Samuel Mowery's office, New Cumberland; she was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Lemoyne.
She was the widow of Chester I. Ridge. She is survived by her daughter Wilma R. Prendergast, Harrisburg; two grand daughters, Katie L. Appel, Mill Creek, WA, and Holly L. Lenker, Lancaster.
Funeral services will be held 2pm on Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Charles W. Sprenkle, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp
. Visitation will one hour prior to services.

Alta Nissley Roberts
Alta Nissley Roberts, 92, of Manor Care, Lower Paxton Twp., and formerly of Lewisberry, died Friday, July 14, 2000 at the home.
She was born November 1, 1906 in Harrisburg to the late Amos and Edith Mae (Lusk) Drabenstadt.
The widow of Clarence E. Roberts, she is survived by two daughters, Dona Pastuck of Hershey and Mary Ellen Roberts of Mechanicsburg; two sons, Clarence E. of Annapolis, MD and Kenneth L. of Apopka, FL.; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2pm Monday at Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
There will be no viewing or visitation.

Eunice A. Rodgers, 87, of Lower Allen Twp., and formerly of Philadelphia died Saturday, September 2, 2000 in the home of her daughter.
She was born 2/21/13 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Bernard & Irene (Recci) Fiorillo.
She was the widow of John J. Rodgers and is survived by 3 daughters, Anita Carey of Lower Allen Twp., Jean Morley of West Conshohocken and Patricia Pallon of Cherry Hill, NJ; a son Daniel Rodgers of Horsham; 2 brothers, Leo Fiorillo of Philadelphia and Albert Fiorillo of Wildwood, NJ; 11 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11 am Friday 9/8/2000 in Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Philadelphia. There will be no viewing or visitation.

She was a retired analyst for Honeywell, Philadelphia; a 1931 graduate of Penn State University; a member of Kappa Alpha Theda Sorority; was a member of Horsham Friends Meeting; attended Harrisburg Friends Meeting; attended Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland; a member of daughters of the American Revolution; Civic Club of New Cumberland; New Cumberland Olde Towne Assn.; AARP; PA council of Republican Women; PSU Alumni Assn.
She was born June 19, 1910 in Washington, DC to the late John G. and Mary M. Chestnut.
She was the widow of Dr. Joseph N. Salisbury and Ellsworth H. Thomas. She is survived by a cousin Ruth S. Miles, New Cumberland.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family in Horsham Friends Meeting, Horsham, PA. Burial will be in Horsham Friends Meeting cemetery, Horsham.

Deanna S. Saphore
Deanna S. "Dee" Saphore, 62, of Dillsburg and formerly of Harrisburg, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000 at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a 1956 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She was the co-owner/operator of Dee & Deb's Subs, Harrisburg. She also worked as a waitress for twelve years at the New Cumberland VFW Post 7415. She also was an auxiliary member of the VFW and the New Cumberland American Legion Post 143. She was a loyal fan of the Guiding Light Soap Opera.
She was born September 26, 1937 in Mechanicsburg to the late George and Beatrice Harman.
Her husband, Eugene D. Saphore, a daughter, Deborah A. Saphore of Dillsburg; a sister, Blanche Herbst of Oxon Hill, MD; and two grandchildren, Candi and Quincy Saphore of Dillsburg, survive her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., New Cumberland. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:15am Monday at the funeral home.

He was a member of Christ Community Church, Lower Allen Twp.; American Rose Society; & Electrical Contractors Association. He was born 1/8/31 in Harrisburg, PA to Elsie (Acri) Sebastian and the late Herman F. Sebastian, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Jean H. Sebastian; 2 daughters, Teresa Townsend of Mechanicsburg and Laura J. Sebastian of Savannah, GA; 3 sons, Stephen & Paul, both of Mechanicsburg and Dean of Savannah, GA; a step daughter Judy K. Treaster of New Cumberland; a step son Donald E. Fisher, Jr. of Camp Hill; his mother Elsie (Acri) Sebastian of Harrisburg; 2 sisters, Frances S. Hahm of Harrisburg and Thelma McCauslin of Camp Hill; 2 brothers, Joseph of Orlando, FL and Richard of Harrisburg; 2 grandchildren; and 6 step grandchildren.

She was a retired office manager for the California State Department of Corrections and a licensed beautician. She was a member of Galt First Baptist Church, Galt, CA and Rebekah Assembly, Ramona, CA.
She was born 10-24-15 in El Centro, Imperial Co., CA to the late Jasper W. and Eva Mae (Darrough) Shanks.
She was the widow of Robert T. Shanks and is survived by 2 sons, Robert W. of Grandview, WA and The Rev. Roland M. Shanks with whom she lived; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Services will be scheduled at a future date in California. Burial will be in Ramona cemetery, Ramona, CA.

He was a retired route salesman for Lenkerbrook Farms Dairy, Camp Hill and a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Enola.
He was born April 22, 1935 in Linglestown to John & the late Winifred (Dean) Sherk.
He is survived by his wife Sandra J. (Beavers) Sherk; his Father John of Linglestown; and was preceded in death by a son William E. Jr.

She was a member of Capital Area Christian Church and the Goldsboro Fireman's Club.
She was born April 12, 1942 in Port Royal, PA to the late Brooks M. and Helen M. Lauver. She is survived by her husband William H. Shick; two sons, Herbert T. Carr, St. Petersburg, FL and Anthony F. Carr, Parrish, FL; three daughters, Ginger L. Hoffer, Steelton, Brigette J. Carr, Etters, Charlene R. Daniel, Lewisberry; two step daughters, Sheri L. Shick, Etters and Bonnie M. Bowmaster, Sheldon, NC; three sisters, Patricia Mark and Shirley J. Goss, both of Lewistown, and Donna M. Geedy, York Haven; eight grand children; nieces and nephews.

Carolyn R. Shuler
Carolyn Ruth (Smith) Shuler, 87, of Bethany Village, Lower Allen Twp., and formerly of New Cumberland and Camp Hill died Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at the Village.
She worked for the state of Pennsylvania and as a substitute teacher for Catholic Schools in the area. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School and attended Penn Hall School for Girls. She enjoyed painting, travel, golf, bridge and gardening.
She was born September 21, 1912 in Chambersburg
to the late John and Mary Smith.
The widow of Henrie C. Shuler; she is survived by a sister, Jean R. Flowers of Venice, FL; a brother, Francis W. Smith of Media, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am Thursday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland with The Rev. Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.

She was born 6/22/15 in Harrisburg to the late John & Alice (Bickle) Honafous. She was preceded in death by a son Floyd R. Simmons.
She was the widow of Floyd R. "Buzz" Simmons and is survived by a daughter Nancy L. Newcomer of New Cumberland; a brother John Honafous of Harrisburg; 6 grandchildren, Stephen, Mark, Robert, Michael and Christopher Simmons and Kristin Drum; 2 great grand twins, Emily and Jessica Simmons.

She was a retired housekeeper in the Alexandria, PA area; she attended Fairview Brethren in Christ Church, New Cumberland; she loved ice cream, tending her flower garden, and baking.
She was born March 5, 1909 in Maddensville, PA to the late James Porter Wible, Jr. and Mary E. Madden Wible.
She is survived by three grand children; 10 great grand children; 19 great great grand children; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Monday at Houstontown Church of God, Houstontown, with the Rev. John L. Warner officiating. Burial will be in Clear Ridge cemetery, Dublin Twp., PA, following services.

He was the widow of Eva Fisher Souders and was born September 29, 1923 in York, PA, to the late John A. and Ruth M. (Senft) Souders.
He is survived by a son John A. Souders, IV, Mechanicsburg; a daughter Joanne C. Souders, Lemoyne; two grand children, Jaime L. Souders and John A. Souders, V.

He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Mont Alto, Lowther Manor Lodge, No. 781, F & AM, Camp Hill, Harrisburg Consistory, B.P.O.E., Waynesboro Lodge, No. 731, American Legion, Morr's Frock Post No. 42, Hagerstown.
He was born June 28, 1918 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to the late Myron B. and Elizabeth P. (Leach) Sterner.
His wife, Dorothy G. Sterner; a daughter, Debra S. Herrold of South Mountain; a brother, Donald R. of Miami, FL; a sister, Phyllis S. Meacham of Pennbrook; and two grandchildren survive him.
