RUTH G. McKENRICK
Ruth G. (Winemiller) McKenrick, 95, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, Dec. 18, 2001 in the medical center of Spring House Estates.
She was married more than 62 years to the late Orvis W. "Mac" McKenrick, who died in 1992. The couple lived in the Lansdale area for about 58 years until moving to Spring House Estates in 1978.
Born in Red Lion, she was the daughter of the late Ora and Emma Jane (Eckert) Winemiller. She graduated from Red Lion High School and continued her education at the former Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1927.
A registered nurse, Mrs. McKenrick did private duty nursing. During WWII, she was the administrator at the former Elm Terrace Hospital in Lansdale.
She and her late husband operated the former Mac's Square Dance Barn in Kulpsville.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lansdale where she served as assistant Sunday school superintendent and on the diaconate.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Richard T. Caserta of Lansdale; two granddaughters, Robyn Butler and her husband, Scott, and Ruth Geneva Gardner and her husband, Jack; and two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Hannah Butler.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Edward Caserta; and 2 brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Dec. 28, at 11 A.M. in First Baptist Church, 700 N. Broad St., Lansdale, PA 19446, where friends may call after 10 A.M. Interment will be at Wood cemetery, Clearfield County. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to First Baptist Church, at the address above. Chellammal Thiyagarajan of Lansdale, passed away Dec. 19, 2001 in Abington Memorial Hospital.
FLORENCE HARCLERODE
Florence E. (Courtot) Harclerode, 87, a resident of the Valley Forge Acres section of Upper Merion, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center in Pottstown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul I. Harclerode, on Sept. 21, 1993. They celebrated 51 wonderful years of marriage together.
Born Nov. 16, 1914 in Houtzdale, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Jennie (Lobb) Courtot. She graduated from the Allentown State Hospital School of Nursing in 1936.
A registered nurse, Mrs. Harclerode retired at the age of 72 after a fulfilling career of serving others.
She was a longtime member of Valley Forge Presbyterian Church of King of Prussia.
She is survived by two sons, Paul J. Harclerode of Lansdale and David A. Harclerode of Phoenixville; three daughters, Ann H. Janoski of Gulph Mills, Susan H. Kooistra of Schwenksville and Kay H. Simmons of Upper Merion; 10 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; a sister, Leadeth Moore of Houtzdale; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service Monday, Dec. 31, at 11 AM at The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Route 202) in Bridgeport, with the Rev. Dr. James Tanis, the Rev. Jeff Quinn and Rebecca Watkins officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may call Monday from 10 to 10:50 AM at the funeral home. AGNES L. WALDSPURGER
Agnes L. Waldspurger, 79, of Harleysville, formerly of Hatfield, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, in Grand View Hospital in West Rockhill.
She was the wife of James Waldspurger. The couple celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary June 22.
Born in Dunellen, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine R. (Hall) Lowande.
She was employed by the Hanson Textile Co. in Hatfield for many years, retiring in 1965.
Mrs. Waldspurger was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sellersville, where she served as a church usher and was one of the original members of the St. Agnes Silver and Gold Club.
She belonged to Our Lady of Sacred Heart Seniors in Hilltown and Clown Alley of Lansdale.
Mrs. Waldspurger had a great love for children and raised many foster children throughout the years. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed sewing. She crafted many skating outfits for her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, James G. Waldspurger and his wife, Kathleen, of Charlestown, MD and Paul K. Waldspurger and his wife, Theresa, of Norristown; two daughters, Rita C. Roberts and her husband, Bruce K., of Sellersville and Agnes D. Richhart and her husband, Barry "A", of Hatfield; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Frances Crouthamel of Hilltown Twp. and Marie Cole and her husband, Robert, of Newtown.
She was preceded in death by a son, David A. Waldspurger, in 1972; and a grandson, Anthony A. Waldspurger, in 1991.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass, to be celebrated Monday, Dec. 31, 2001 at 10 A.M. in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main St., Sellersville, PA 18960. Interment will be in Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery in Hilltown. Friends may call Monday morning from 9 to 10 A.M. at the church. NETTIE FOREMAN
Nettie Foreman of North Wales died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001.
She was born April 18, 1900 and lived 101 wonderful years. She was a beautiful lady.
Her funeral was held Monday, Dec. 17. Her family would like to thank all for their kind expressions of sympathy during their hour of bereavement.
MARGARET S. FRANK
Margaret S. Frank, 86, of the Lutheran Community At Telford, formerly of Sellersville, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001 in the community's skilled nursing unit, where she was a patient for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Willis Frank, Dec. 9, 2001.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Samuel G. and Sadie L. (Smith) Fitzgerald. A resident of Tylersport for many years, she and her husband moved to Wallington, NY, where they resided for 20 years. They returned to this area to reside on Keystone Drive in Sellersville in 1979. Mrs. Frank entered the Lutheran Community At Telford in April of 2000.
She was a longtime, active member of Little Zion Lutheran Church in Telford.
Mrs. Frank is survived by two sons, Willis S. Frank and his wife, Mary Jo, of Quakertown and Robert N. Frank and his wife, Elaine K., of Perkasie; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a sister, Evelyn L. Klein.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel W. Fitzgerald, in January of 2000.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 22 at 3 P.M. in Little Zion Lutheran Church, Morwood and Bergey roads in Telford. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 to 3 P.M. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 527 W. Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914. Arrangements are by the David R. Sadler Funeral Home, Telford.
JOHN D. BRIDI
John D. Bridi, 85, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2001 at the Lutheran Community At Telford, where he had resided since February of 1999. He had formerly resided in Hatfield for over 30 years and was the husband of Elsie Strobel Bridi. They celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on June 24th.
Born in Treverton, on July 31, 1916, he was a son of the late Dominick and Catherine (Lippie) Bridi. He served in the U.S. Army during World World II and was employed as a machinist for many years at the former Brook's Instruments in Hatfield until his retirement in 1981.
Mr. Bridi was a member of both the Sellersville Moose and the Cannoneers Sportsman Club in Lansdale. He enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Gary J. Bridi and his wife Diana E. of Horsham Twp., step daughter Elsie C. Bartram and her husband David J. of Perkasie, and stepsons H. Robert Strobel and his wife Carol of Green Lane, and Ronald H. Strobel of Denver, CO. He is also survived by sisters Helen Hollenbach and Dorothy Bramhall and her husband Ray, all of Trevorton, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, August 10 at 2 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church, 910 Allentown Rd., Sellersville, PA (Ridge Valley) where friends may call from 1-2 PM. The casket will be closed. Interment will take place at the adjoining church cemetery. ROBERT W. EIDSON
Robert W. Eidson, 93, of Meadowood at Worcester, formerly of Alexandria, VA, died Monday, July 30, 2001 at his residence after a short illness.
Born on December 13, 1907 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Albert Eidson. He was married to Mary A. (Nelson) Eidson until her death in December of 1991. Mr. Eidson was an assistant Postmaster General for the United States. He was of Presbyterian Faith.
Surviving him are two sons, James R. Eidson of Yardley, and John C. Eidson of Palo Alto, CA and a daughter Susan L. Marsden of Huntsville, AL as well as four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday in Berrien Springs, MI and a viewing was held on Monday evening in the R.L. Williams, Jr., Funeral Home of Skippack/Worcester. J. ALDONNA HARWICK
J. Aldonna Harwick, 87, died Sunday, August 5, 2001, in North Penn Hospital, Hatfield Twp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray C. Harwick Sr., in 1973.
Born and raised in the Burholme section of Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Shukis) Walins. She moved to North Wales in 1936.
Mrs. Harwick was employed with Rorer Pharmaceuticals for 19 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a longtime member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ in North Wales.
She did volunteer work for the American Red Cross, Manna on Main Street and the American Cancer Society.
She was the beloved mother of three children, the late Ray C. Harwick Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of North Wales, Steven V. Harwick of Arbutus, MD and Tom A. Harwick and his wife, Penny, of Lansdale. She was the dear sister of Victor Walins of Glenside; the proud grandmother of eight; and great-grandmother of nine.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Thursday, Aug. 9, at 7 PM at St. Luke's United Church of Christ in North Wales. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
MICHAEL PUCHEK
Michael Puchek, 81, a retired personnel administrator for Leeds and Northrup in North Wales who later ran an art gallery, died of cancer Sunday, August 5, 2001 at home in Melrose Park, his residence for the last 25 years.
Prior to that, he lived for over 20 years in Willow Grove, resided briefly in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., and was a native of Worcester, MA.
The son of Wasil Joseph and Magdelena (Tcheikewitz) Puchek, Michael Puchek served from 1942 to 1945 in the Army Air Corps, stationed near Calcutta. After the war, he received a bachelors degree from Boston University and a masters from Cornell's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. In Ithaca he married Sydelle (Rosenberg) Puchek, who remained his wife for over 40 years until her death in 1996.
In the 1960s Mr. Puchek began attending Abington Friends (Quaker) Meeting of Jenkintown and became a ward leader for civil rights and antiwar demonstrations. Througout his life he was an avid golfer, even after retiring from Leeds in the mid-1980s with over 30 years' service.
He also enjoyed attending community scholars classes at Arcadia University and running the Open House Gallery out of his Melrose Park home. Featuring works by some prominent but many under-appreciated artists from Philadelphia and environs, the gallery provided wider exposure to its artists, many of whom taught at the Abington Art Center, other local organizations, and various Philadelphia universities.
Mr. Puchek leaves a daughter, Melissa, sons Rob and Peter, and a brother, Adam. A memorial meeting for worship will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 11 at Abington Friends Meeting, 520 Meetinghouse Rd., Jenkintown, PA 19046, where the family will greet attendees afterward and where memorial contributions can be made in lieu of flowers.
ERIC McILLMURRAY
Eric McIllmurray, age 81, of Harleysville, formerly of Skippack and the Germantown section of Philadelphia, died Tuesday afternoon, March 13, 2001 at North Penn Hospital, Hatfield Twp., after an illness. He was the husband of Dorothy (Townsend) McIllmurray. They were married for 55 years.
NICHOLAS J. VARANO
Nicholas J. "Nick" Varano, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at his Towamencin Twp. home. He was the husband of Charlotte (Lobos) Varano and they would have observed their 40th wedding anniversary in August. He was a former resident of Kulpmont, Northumberland County and Hatfield.

Clarence H. Walt, 82, of the Lutheran Community At Telford, formerly of Souderton, died late Wednesday evening, March 14, 2001, in the community's skilled nursing unit, where he had been a medical patient for two years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Sara B. (Godshall) Walt, on September 20, 1988.
