ELIZABETH WALSH
Elizabeth (Doherty) Walsh, 94, formerly of West Oak Lane, died Oct. 3, 2001 at ManorCare Health Services in Montgomeryville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell T. Walsh. Mrs. Walsh was born in Philadelphia.
She was the mother of Esther E. Heinlein of Chalfont. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Charles Heinlein Jr. and his fiancee, Sandy, William Heinlein and his fiancee, Joan, and Amanda Pinkerton and her husband, Ned; six great-grandchildren; and a niece, Eileen Bergbauer.
Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services Monday, Oct. 8 at 11 A.M. at Craft of Erdenheim, 814 Bethlehem Pike. Interment , Hillside cemetery. Josephine L. Gagliano, 71, a lifelong resident of Norristown, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown
JAMES M. HARTMAN
James M. Hartman Sr., 81, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 5, 2001 in North Penn Hospital, Hatfield Twp. He was the husband of the late Thelma (Linderman) Hartman, who died in 1997. A longtime Lansdale resident, he lived at the Colonnade of Schwenksville for 11/2 years before entering Brittany Pointe Estates Medical Care in Upper Gwynedd in March of this year.
DANIEL R. KELLY JR.
Daniel R. Kelly Jr., 72, of Gwynedd Valley, died Thursday morning, Sept. 6, 2001, at Warminster Hospital, Warminster. He had been in failing health for 15 months. He was the husband of 35 years of Joan (McDonald) Kelly. Formerly of the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, he had lived in Gwynedd Valley since 1966.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Daniel and Rebecca (Robinson) Kelly. He graduated from Northeast High School in Philadelphia and attended Temple University. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry in occupied Germany during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Bricklayer's Union Local No. 1 in Philadelphia and worked for John B. Kelly, Inc., Bricklayers, from 1950 to 1967. Following that, he founded and operated Ridge Valley Construction Co. and Rayner Enterprises for 20 years, until he became disabled.
Mr. Kelly attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in North Wales.
He was a longtime member of Old York Road Country Club in Spring House and the Corvette Club of Delaware Valley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Daniel R. Kelly III and his wife, Frances, of Barto, James P. Kelly and his wife, Ann, of Woodbury, NJ, Jeffrey J. Kelly of North Wales and J. Scott Kelly and his wife, Lisa, of Sellersville; six grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanore Culp and her husband, Paul, of Dublin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass, Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 424 S. Main St., North Wales, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:15 A.M. Interment will be private. For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Joseph's Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031, would be preferred. PAUL HAYES GWIN SR.
Paul Hayes Gwin Sr., age 92, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001 in North Penn Hospital in Hatfield Twp.
He was the husband of the late Adelle (Goldsmith) Gwin, who preceded him in death July 23, 1980. The couple had been married 50 years.
Born July 1, 1909 in Hayti, MO, he was the son of the late Winifred Winfield and Iona (Geeham) Gwin. He resided in Little Rock, AR and Kennett, MO, prior to moving to Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale last year.
Mr. Gwin worked as a linotype operator when he lived in Arkansas, retiring in 1973.
He sang as a tenor in the church choir and taught Sunday school in Arkansas. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kennett, MO. After moving to Lansdale, he attended Sanctuary United Methodist Church in North Wales.
He belonged to the Lions Club in Kennett and was a lifetime member of the Kennett Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Paul H. Gwin Jr. and his wife, Rose, of Lansdale; and his granddaughter, Diane Elizabeth Gwin of Somerville, MA.
A graveside service will be held Friday in Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett. The Longenecker Funeral Home in North Wales is entrusted with the arrangements.
FELIX J. DANIEL
Felix J. Daniel (Daniels), age 90, of West Rockhill Twp., died Monday, July 23, 2001, in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Milford Twp. He was the husband of the late Evelyn Romaine (Fabian) Daniels, who died November 2, 1961.
FRANCES K. KOONS
Frances K. Koons, 73, of Harleysville, formerly of Telford, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp., where she was a medical patient for several weeks. She had been in failing health for several months.
Born in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late George C. and Grace (Crosgrove) Crowell. Formerly of the Telford and Salfordville areas, Mrs. Koons moved to her current address in Harleysville in March of 2000.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Christine M. Alderfer of Schwenksville, Susan E. Osberg and her husband, John, of Marietta, GA and Martha E. Koons of Minneapolis, MN; three sons, Mark S. Koons of Rohnert Park, CA, Matthew C. Koons and his wife, Jennifer, of Santa Rosa, CA and Andrew T. Koons of Dublin; and five grandchildren, Zackery R., Aaron K. and Courtney A. Alderfer, Christian C. Osberg and Devin B. Koons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard A. Koons, in 1955; and a sister, Judith Crowell.
Memorial services will held Friday, July 27, at 11 AM in the David R. Sadler Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Those desiring may make memorials in her memory to the skilled nursing unit of Grand View Hospital, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960.

Gordon Jackson "Jack" Meyers, 79, of Fort Washington, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, in the Artman Home in Ambler, after a brief stay. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna A. (Hopwood) Meyers, in 1996.
SAMUEL E. NOBLE JR.
Samuel E. Noble Jr., 71, of Hatboro, died Monday, July 23, 2001, at Dock Terrace in Towamencin, where he resided since July 5. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (McAnally) Noble, in 1990.
PAUL R. SWARTLEY
Paul R. Swartley, 87, died early Tuesday morning, July 24, 2001, in Dock Terrace, Towamencin. He had been in failing health for the past several months. He was the husband of Eva (Ruth) Swartley and they had observed their 61st wedding anniversary last October.
Born March 31, 1914 in Towamencin Twp., he was the son of the late Willis A. and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Rittenhouse) Swartley. He lived in Towamencin Twp. all his life and moved to the Dock Woods Community in January of 2000.
Mr. Swartley had been employed by Moyer & sons, Inc. of Souderton, until retiring in 1984 at the age of 70.
He was a lifelong member of Plains Mennonite Church in Hatfield.
An avid gardener, he planted and constantly tended to a large vegetable garden and fruit trees. He will also be remembered for the beautiful daffodils that grew in the front lawn of their home each spring.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Eva, are four children, Arlene Wambold and her husband, Claude, of Perkiomenville, Richard Swartley and his wife, Roslyn, of Lederach, Jean Rodenberg and her husband, Steve, of Cincinnati, OH and John P. Swartley and his wife, Karen, of Palmer Lake, CO. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Julia, Leah and Suzanne Swartley; and two sisters, Ada Mininger and her husband, Vernon, of Hatfield and Elizabeth Honsberger and her husband, Calvin, of Collegeville.
A service for relatives and friends will be Friday, July 27, at 10 AM in Plains Mennonite Church, 50 West Orvilla Road, Hatfield, PA 19440. Interment , adjoining cemetery. Friends may call at the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home in Lansdale Thursday evening from 7 to 9 PM and at the church Friday after 9 AM. LOIS T. YOCUM
Lois T. Yocum, 65, of Hilltown Twp., died Monday, July 23, 2001, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp. She was the wife of Earl J. Yocum. The couple had celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on October 6, 2000.
Born in West Rockhill Twp., she was the daughter of the late Willis D. "Smokey" and Mamie (Smith) Trauger. She was a 1953 graduate of the former Sell-Perk High School.
Mrs. Yocum had worked for many years as the secretary for Yocum Electric, West Rockhill Twp. From 1953 to 1958, she worked for the Pennridge School District in the high school office.
Mrs. Yocum was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sellersville, where she had been the church organist since the church was founded in 1961.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Cindy L. Rhoads and her husband, Richard F., of Sellersville and Gail R. Eberhardt and her husband, Michael J., of Perkasie; a son, Mark D. Yocum and his wife, Marianne, of Richlandtown; and four grandchildren, Lauren and Joshua Rhoads and Carolyn and Natalie Eberhardt.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral services to be held Friday, July 27, at 7 PM in Faith Baptist Church, 700 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. ARLENE M. CLEMMER
Arlene M. Clemmer, 88, died early Thursday, November 15, 2001, at Grand View Hospital in West Rockhill.
Formerly a longtime resident of Harleysville, she lived at Souderton Mennonite Homes since 1993. She was the widow of the late Russell F. Clemmer, who died in 1971.
Born in Blooming Glen, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Ida (Smith) Moyer. She was the stepdaughter of the late Tressie (Umstead) Moyer.
She was a mother and housewife until her children were grown. She then worked in the cafeteria of Harleysville Insurance Co. for about 15 years.
Mrs. Clemmer was a longtime member of Salford Mennonite Church in Harleysville, where she assisted her husband, who was the caretaker of the church.
Her special interests included playing games, especially Scrabble, and knitting afghans.
Survivors include three sons, Leroy M. Clemmer and his wife, Doreen, of Harleysville, Kenneth M. Clemmer and his wife, Maryanne, of Sellersville and Paul M. Clemmer of Pennsburg; two daughters, Ruth Ann Hartzler of Hesston, KS and Thelma Jean Whaley and her husband, Roger, of Gresham, OR; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, George Moyer and his wife, Naomi, of Sellersville; and a sister, Thelma Beyer of Souderton.
In addtion to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Moyer.
The viewing hours will be Monday, Nov. 19, from 6 to 7:15 PM at the Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit St., Souderton. The funeral service will follow at 7:30 PM. Interment will be Tuesday at 9 AM in Salford Mennonite cemetery, 480 Groff's Mill Rd., Harleysville. Arrangements are by the Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home in Souderton.
MARIAN A. VAN HOOK
Marian A. Van Hook, 76, of Norristown, formerly of Lansdale, died Wednesday evening, November 14, 2001, in Montgomery Hospital.
Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Verna May (Frantz) Van Hook.
Miss Van Hook was a client of Growth Horizons Inc. in Glenside and was active in the Center Point Training Center in Worcester.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved animals, flowers, music and all nature.
Surviving are her sister, Ruth M. Rodgers and her husband, Warner, of Lansdale; a niece, Ruth R. Lugassy and her husband, Dr. Armand A. Lugassy, of San Rafael, CA; and two great-nieces, Heather R. Lugassy of San Rafael and Holly R. Lugassy of San Francisco, CA.

DORIS MOREY
Doris Morey, 87, died Nov. 23, 2001 in Pennsburg Manor. A resident of Lansdale since 1960, she recently entered the nursing home. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Morey, Sr., in 1954.
Born and raised in North Wales, she was a daughter of the late Frank W. and Katie S. (Bartholomew) Fry. Before moving to Lansdale, she resided in East Stroudsburg and Bangor.
Mrs. Morey was employed with Philco Ford in Upper Gwynedd from 1966 until her retirement in 1982.
Surviving is a son, John H. Morey Jr. of Lansdale; a daughter, Suzanne M. Briggs and her husband, George, of Westport, Ontario, Canada; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, E. Bernice Kulp of Lansdale.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank "Bud" Fry, formerly of North Wales.

Richard Alan Croasmun Jr., 16, of Souderton, formerly of Upper Salford, died late Sunday night, Nov. 25, 2001 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill.
