Greentown, Pa. - Private services will be held for Brenda Kay Patton, 57, of The Escape, Greentown, who died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Hospice Community Care in Dunmore.
Mrs. Patton was born December 3, 1952 in Pottstown and was the daughter of the late George and Theda (Hoagey) Boos.
She was a waitress and enjoyed traveling the USA.
She is survived by her daughter: Roxi Farrington of Greentown and son: Jason Lee Quinn of Chile; one brother: Arthur Boos of League City, TX and two grandchildren, Kirsty and Marky Farrington.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel with final disposition at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Pottstown.
Margaret A. Hoover
Tafton, Pa. - Margaret A. Hoover of Tafton, passed away Saturday, March 6, following her brave battle with cancer. She was born and spent her childhood in Parsippany, NJ, before moving to Tafton, as a young teen.
She is survived by her two beloved children, Carl and Christianna Christophersen of Tafton; her mother, Margaret A. Harvey of Hawley; her loving fiancé, Richard Yeoman; his two children, Nicole and Eric Yeoman; four brothers, Ed Voigtman and his wife Janiece of East Hampton, MA, Robert Voigtman of Boonton, NJ, Richard Voigtman of Long Island, NY, and William Voigtman and his wife Sue of Mt. Arlington, NJ; and a sister, Theresa Hoover of Parsippany, NJ.
Margie was a special aunt to her nieces and nephews. Margie was predeceased by her Father, Clarence Hoover.
Margie worked at The Lodge at Woodloch before beginning her battle with cancer. She had also worked at the family business, Hoover’s Tavern, in Parsippany for many years. Margie was a Girl Scout leader and a school library volunteer. In addition, she enjoyed bird watching, gardening, mountain biking and martial arts.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 13, at Teeters’ East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley, PA. Friends may call from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA.
JOHN J. CASTORO
Tafton, Pa. - John J. Castoro, 50, of Tafton, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at Community Medical Center, ScrantonA. He was a master plumber, general contractor and owner/operator of Bath Art, Paramus, NJ.
Born May 13, 1959, the son of Leonard and Angelina (Torre) Castoro, in Summit, NJ. He was married to Lora (Skruck) Castoro.
Survivors include his wife, son John Estes of Westmont, NJ; daughters Stefanie McCourt of Lords Valley, PA, and Heather Estes of Dingman’s Ferry, PA; his mother Angelina Castoro; sister Gina Harvey of Maplewood, NJ; four grandchildren, Jordan, Mikey, Aiden, and Madison; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, Feb. 19, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 20, 2010, at 11 am at the Dingman’s Ferry United Methodist Church, 115 Myck Road, Dingman’s Ferry, PA with Rev. Matthew Riley officiating.
Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family.

Fay S. Mikulak
Honesdale, Pa. - A Requiem Mass will be held Sunday for Fay S. Mikulak, 76 of Honesdale, who died Sunday, March 21, 2010 in Honesdale. She was married to the late Paul Mikulak who died in 1999.
Fay was born in Honesdale, the daughter of the late Duane and Edith Rude Schwab. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Honesdale and the Episcopal Church Women. She served in the Altar Guild and Vestry for the church. Fay was formerly a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Hose Co. # 1 and the Wayne Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by five sons, Paul Mikulak of Honesdale, Gregory Mikulak of Beach Lake, Ted Mikulak of Honesdale, Peter Mikulak of Honesdale, and Samuel Mikulak of Honesdale; a daughter, Leslie Cordaro of Van Nuys, CA; two brothers, William Schwab of Honesdale and James Schwab of Honesdale; a sister, Monica Goble of Honesdale; several grandchildren nieces and nephews.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at 2 pm in the Grace Episcopal Church, Honesdale with Father Edward Erb and Father Graham Cliff officiating.
Following the services there will be a reception for family and friends in the Parish Hall.
Interment will be in the Indian Orchard Cemetery, Honesdale.

Mark Turner of Paupack
Paupack, Pa. - Mark Turner, 42, of Paupack died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Mercy Hospice, Scranton, following a courageous two-month battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Kristi, whom he married on May 4, 1991.
Born December 6, 1967, in Union City, he was the son of Charles K. Turner of Meadville, and Margaret Shearer Francis of Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was a graduate of Cranberry High School. He obtained his undergraduate and M.B.A. from Clarion University. In addition, he obtained his teaching credential from East Stroudsburg and was currently completing his Principal Certificate at Wilkes University.
Mr. Turner taught pre-algebra at Dingman-Delaware Middle School in Dingmans Ferry, where he was loved and adored by his students and colleagues and fondly known as “Superman.” He was Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Paupack United Methodist Church, a member of Paupack Park and Recreation, and coached Babe Ruth Baseball and Dingman Delaware Wrestling. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but especially enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son and daughter, Max (10) and Mackenzie (8); one sister, Roxann Brain of Kennerdell; two brothers, Chuck Turner of Chino Valley, AZ, and Mike Turner of Peoria, AZ; an uncle, Jim Turner of Phoenix, AZ; his mother- and Father-in-law, Judie and Walt Flinchbaugh of Seneca; a brother-in-law, Mike Flinchbaugh of St. Johns, FL; two uncles, Edward Mazeika of Simi Valley, CA, and Charles Shearer of Cambridge Springs, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Feb. 28, from 2 to 5 pm at Paupack United Methodist Church, Rt. 507, Paupack, PA. The funeral will be Monday, March 1, at 11 am at Paupack United Methodist Church, with Rev. Susan M. Heafield, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Paupack.

John Emr
Hawley, Pa. - John Emr, 82, of Hawley, and former 40-year resident of Fort Lee, NJ, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
He was a mother of Pearl Button Manufacturer with Emr brothers mother of Pearl Buttons in North Bergen, NJ, and Yonkers, NY. He was a member of the Milford Bible Church and a US Army World War II veteran serving in Germany.
The son of Hyneck and Marie (Kupilik) Emr he was born March 2, 1927 in Cliffside Park, NJ. He was married to Evelyn (Metzger) Emr.
Survivors include his wife; daughter Elyse Colao of Belair, MD; three sons, John Emr of Port Murray, NJ, Scott Emr of Ithaca, NY, and Bruce Emr of Westwood, NJ; 10 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
A Memorial Service will be held at Milford Bible Church, Milford, on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at 11 am with Rev. Robert Elliott officiating.

Edward John Tauschman
Promised Land, Pa. - Edward J. Tauschman, 47, of Promisedland, died on arrival at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale after being stricken at home early Sunday morning, March 14, 2010.
Born in Allentown, son of the late Edward F. and Elizabeth (Lastowsky) Tauschman, he was a life long resident of Promisedland.
Ed was a craftsman in metal and owned and operated Fabrications by Tauschman, where he designed and built Dirt Track race cars. He also owned and operated Tauschman Excavating Co. and owned Tauschman’s Motel, taking over after the death of his parents.
He is survived by his friend, companion and fiancee of many years, Tina Marie Shiftier, her children, Alien D, Shiffler Jr. and wife Danielle, Greentown; Ashley E, Shiffler Wyomissing, and grandchildren, Stephanie Frable and Addison Shiffler.
Funeral Services will be held 2 pm, Saturday March 20 in the Arthur J. Frey Funeral Home, 201 Rt. 191 Village of LaAnna, South Sterling. Rev. Robert Visscher Jr., Pastor Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Greentown Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 11 am until Service time at the Funeral Home.

William T. “Billy” Warner
Hawley, Pa. - William T. “Billy” Warner, 82, a lifelong resident of Hawley died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born January 11, 1928, in Hawley, PA, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Alice Grace (Loveless) Warner.
He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Bill’s struggles from birth created within him a strong, hard-working spirit. He loved trapping, his garden, working in the hayfield and with his animals, especially his chickens. You could often see Bill and his brother Wesley on their tractor, at the diner or just walking briskly through town. He will be missed by all of us, but especially by his twin brother, Wesley.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Stella Warner of Lakeville; a twin brother, Wesley Warner of Hawley; a sister-in-law Jeanette Warner of Hawley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Russell and Carl Warner, and a sister, Esther Simpson.
Calling hours will be Sunday, May 23, from 2 to 4 pm only at Teeters’ East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Monday, May 24, at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. S. Mike Eskra, Pastor of Cole Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley.

Helen Marie Davis
Lakeville, Pa. - Helen Marie Davis of Lakeville died Monday, May 31, 2010, at home following an illness. Born in Cherry Ridge, PA, on December 8, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Stuart Barrick and Edna Swingle Barrick. She grew up at the Clemo Hunting and Fishing Club where her parents were caretakers. Her husband was the late Clifton Davis who died in 1991.
Beginning in the 1950's she operated Davis' Store, a quaint general store that served local residents and visitors until 1972. Through the years she also worked as a restaurant hostess, cook and store clerk. She thoroughly enjoyed working with people and didn't retire until the age of 79.
Helen was a member of the Lakeville United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women (originally called the Ladies Aid Society), was involved in fund-raising for the Heart Association and the Cancer Society, a member of the Hemlock Hollow School Association and was an original member of the Lakeville Fire Company Auxiliary working with others on fundraising projects and providing refreshments for the firemen when needed. She was also a Republican Committee Woman.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking, watching NASCAR on television and visiting the Hawley Senior Center on Tuesdays to play bingo. In earlier years, she took great pride in her flower gardens and spent countless hours watching and identifying the many birds that visited her feeder. Talking on the phone or visiting with many friends gave her much enjoyment.
Surviving are three daughters, Nancy F. Davis of Lakeville, Katherine D. Kovachevich of Independence, MO, and Cynthia Chumard and her companion Blaise Pantuso of Jefferson Township; three sons, James C. and his wife Sylvia of Lakeville, Richard S. Davis and his wife Carol of Honesdale and Scott A. Davis of Lakeville; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Oakley, and a grandson, Scott Bihler.
Funeral services will be held at Lakeville United Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 9 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Deborah Dailey officiating. Visitation will be held at the church the day of the service from 9:30 to 10:00AM. Private cremation will be held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA.

Susan Dellert Bills
Greeley, Pa. - Susan Dellert Bills, 59, of Greeley, PA, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 4, 2010, with her husband, Michael, at her side.
She was born on November 18, 1950 in Port Jervis, NY to Edmund and Violet (Bianchi) Dellert. She married Michael Bills on October 10, 1992 in Quakertown, PA.
She graduated from Wallenpaupack High School, Hawley, PA and Albright College, Reading, PA. She was a chemical analyst for FedChem, Bethlehem, PA.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brothers, Edmund Dellert and his wife Karen of Ithaca, NY, and Jerry Dellert and his wife Helene of Milford, CT; and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Frances Pauline Beilman
Hawley, Pa. - Frances Pauline Beilman, 86, of Hawley died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph P. Beilman.
Mrs. Beilman was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Jessup, and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna Masko.
Frances was a homemaker and very devote Catholic. She was also devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She followed politics and world events very closely and had a great sense of humor.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: Two sons: Joseph P. Beilman, Jr. of Hawley; Michael and Karen Beilman of Hawley; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Frank Costa of Honesdale; four grandchildren, Brendan and Lisa Beilman and Kathryn and Serena Costa; one sister, Ann Preschutti of State College and one brother, Joseph Masko of Olyphant.
She was predeceased by a son, James, a brother, Stanley and a sister, Pauline.
Calling hours will be Friday, Feb. 19, from 6 to 8 pm at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 20 at 10 am at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor.
Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery in Hawley.
