ROBERT C. HARMAN

Robert C. Harman, 55, of Stahlstown RD1, went to be with his Saviour on Saturday, June 3, 2000, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. Friends will be received in the CLYDE BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 711, Melcroft, Monday from 12 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Russell Dunaway officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Acme Open Bible Church Building Fund. Robert Harman was a true friend to all and he was his family's mentor through life.

DONALD B. MYERS

Donald B. Myers, 83, of Southwest Greensburg, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Feb. 24, 1917, in Ridgeley, W.Va., a son of the late Roy and Flo Clayton Myers. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by West Penn Power, Greensburg. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Southwest Greensburg, and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 101st Airborne Division. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters , Susan Myers and Nancy Spory; and a brother, Bud Myers. He is survived by his wife, Martha J. Edwards Myers; four daughters , Dorothy and her husband, Kenneth Teacher, of Greensburg, Donna and her husband, David Nicol, of Monroeville, Deborah and her husband, James Frisch, of Scottdale and Sandra and her husband, Timothy Chappell, of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Jurkovic, Brett Teacher, Richard Nicol, Todd Teacher, Jamie Frisch, Kevin Nicol and Kristen Teacher; a great-grandson, Dylan Frisch; a brother, William Myers of Somerset; and two sisters , Nell Storozek of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Janie Mostoller of Somerset. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. only. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. William A. Waugh officiating. Interment with full military honors provided by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard of Greensburg will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.

CHARLES (RAY) PORCH

Charles (Ray) Porch, 81, of Mt. Pleasant RD5 (Kecksburg), died Saturday, June 3, 2000. He was born Nov. 6, 1918, in Acme, a son of the late William and Florence Shaffer Porch. He was a member of the Church of God, Mt. Pleasant. He retired from the Citizens Telephone Co. of Kecksburg. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He belonged to AMVETS Post 94 of United and the American Legion of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys "Betty" Schachte Porch, in 1997; two infant brothers ; and four sisters , Opal Easoz, Helen Mellors, Adah Butler and Shirley Perz. He is survived by a son, E. Ray Porch and wife, Carolyn, of Monument, Colo.; a daughter, Darlene Alcorn of Kecksburg and Lowell Alcorn of Claysville, Pa.; four sisters , Stella Christner of Austintown, Ohio, Freda Wisotzkey of Gettysburg, Doris Galko of Export and Norma Jean Brodak of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers , Carl Porch of Acme and Emery Porch of Ligonier; grandchildren, Billy Ray Porch and wife, Jenny, and Kathleen Porch, all of Monument, Colo., Jerry Damon Alcorn and wife, Erica, of Kecksburg, Erica Moran and husband, John, of Pueblo, Colo., and Shawn Alcorn and wife, Brenda, of Ruffsdale; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Collin of Monument, Colo., Brittany Lynn and Rachel of Kecksburg and Rhiannon of Ruffsdale; and two aunts, Josephine Wilkins of Meadville and Leona Shaffer of Jones Mills. Friends received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kurt Kusserow officiating. Interment will follow in the Middle Presbyterian Cemetery. military rites will be accorded at the funeral. RHETTA A. TURNBULL

Rhetta A. "Dolly" Turnbull, 83, of New Haven Court, Greensburg, formerly of Latrobe and Johnstown, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at her residence. She was born July 30, 1916, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Frank N. and Marie (McKnight) Alters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Turnbull; and a sister, Dorothy Pebley. She is survived by a son, Gary, of Greensburg. Mrs. Turnbull was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Latrobe, a past president of the Lee Hospital Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary of the B.P.O.E. #175, Johnstown. Member of Lee Health Services Auxiliary and a volunteer of Latrobe Area Hospital. Friends will be received Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. William Ordelt officiating. WILLIAM R. WEST

William R. West, 34, of Vandergrift, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, in Vandergrift. He was born Dec. 8, 1965, in McKeesport, a son of the late Richard W. and Edna Mae Torok West. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary West. Surviving are a sister, Debra Smith of Irwin; three brothers , Jeffrey of Irwin, Martin of Somerset and Jason West of Latrobe; several aunts, uncles and cousins; three nieces; and two nephews. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 504 Oak St., Irwin, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. William Henry, pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, officiating.

Rose Marie Armbrust, on Monday, June 5, 2000. Beloved wife of George Armbrust and the late John B. Novisky Sr. mother of John B. Novisky Jr., Rosanne, Donna Marie Dawson, Joseph C. Novisky, Mary Catherine Cooler, Veronica Elizabeth Carter, Michael Armbrust, Lincoln Stefl, Victoria Risher, and Patricia Mass. Grandmother of John B. Novisky III, Michelle Sullivan, Paul Richard Sullivan, Rosa Marie Cooler, Miranda Nicole Cooler, Frank Milo Dawson, Koryn Larai Dawson, and Te'Amo Monet Dawson; and great-grandmother of Hunter Kohl Novisky. Preceded in death by Valerie Marie Novisky and Joseph Charles Novisky Jr. Visiting hours Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at WM. EDWARD J. BASICK SR.

Edward J. Basick Sr., 71, of Hammond, Ind., formerly of Hannastown, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2000. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty; two sons , Edward J. Jr. and wife, Kathryn, of Indiana, and James of Sugarland, Texas ; two grandchildren, Shawna of Los Angeles, Calif., and Daniel of Sugarland, Texas ; two sisters , Mary Shirley of North Irwin and Elizabeth Stranko of Hannastown; three brothers , Thomas Basick and wife, Helen, of California, Raymond Basick and wife, Dolores, of Jeannette, and Robert Basick and wife, Louise, of Pittsburgh; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Magdalena Basick; four sisters , Anna Skoda, Barbara and Kathrine Basick, and Margaret Stroke; and two brothers , Peter Basick and Stephen Basick. A Funeral Mass was held in St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Hammond, Ind., and burial was held at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Worth, Ill. Mr. Basick retired from Illinois Central Railroad with 40 years of service. He was a member and ushered at St. John Bosco Church, was a member of Moose Lodge of Sauk Village, Ill., the Isaac Walton League, Croatian Lodge 170, and the YMCA. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Association and Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

MARGARETHA M. (NEUMANN) BLAHUT

Margaretha M. (Neumann) Blahut, 89, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, in Mariner Nursing Home of Laurel, Md., formerly of Brentwood. Wife for 61 years of the late Andrew Blahut, who passed away in 1996. mother of Gerard A. of Bensalem and Frederick V. of Seabrook, Md. Sister of Fred Neuman of Allison Park, Charles Neumann of Memphis, Tenn., James Neumann of Omaha, Neb., and Mary Ellen Holder of North Huntingdon. Also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends received at the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME INC., 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral prayer Friday morning at 9:15. GLENN HIMLER BUSH

Glenn Himler Bush, 90, of Greensburg, died Monday, June 5, 2000, in the William Penn Care Center after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born Jan. 17, 1910, in Hempfield Township, a son of the late Jacob and Anna Himler Bush. He was self-employed, and a life member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son; and two brothers , Paul and Richard Bush. Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Gwynn Bush; children, Glenda Bush Paxton and husband, William, of Latrobe, Gary C. Bush and wife, Dorothy, of Wellsboro, and Blaine J. Bush and wife, Donna, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Graham and husband, Robert, of Greensburg; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Revs. E. Allen Scanlon and Craig T. Hess co-officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. Should friends desire, memorial contributions are suggested to either the First Lutheran Church, 246 S. Main St., Greensburg, or the Westmoreland Hospice, 532 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg.

MURRAY I. HOREWITZ

Murray I. Horewitz, a well-known local attorney, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Aug. 20, 1932, in Uniontown, a son of the late Gerhart and Rose Azen Horewitz. Murray was raised in Connellsville and graduated from Connellsville High School with the Class of 1950. He graduated from Penn State University in 1954, then served as an officer in the United States Navy from 1954 through 1956. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1959 from the University of Pittsburgh Law School, and was admitted to the practice of law in 1960. He was a member of the Fayette County and Pennsylvania bar associations. Murray served his profession and his community in many ways. He worked as an Assistant District Attorney of Fayette County from 1960 to 1963. He was past president of the Fayette County Bar Association and currently served on the Board. He was a former director of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and treasurer of that organization. Mr. Horewitz served as past solicitor for the Borough of Everson, Bullskin Township, and Fayette County Register of Wills. Mr. Horewitz had served the Connellsville Area School District as solicitor since September 1974, and had been a member of the board of directors of C.R.H. Catering Co. Inc., since 1960. He was most recently appointed as solicitor for the Fayette County Health Center Authority Board. Murray was a member of many civic and fraternal organizations, including the Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Connellsville Moose, B.P.O. Elks and the Connellsville United Way. He served in 1973 as honorary chairman of the Fayette County Retarded Children's Fund. He also served as president of B'Nai Israel Synagogue, Connellsville, and was serving as president of the Tree of Life Synagogue, Uniontown. Mr. Horewitz had been selected for membership in the American Judicature Society, Who's Who in American Law, America's Leading Lawyers, and Who's Who in the East. In 1987, Murray was appointed by Gov. Robert Casey as Chairman of the Trial Court Nominating Commission for selection of a judge in Fayette County. Mr. Horewitz is survived by his loving wife, Robin Pritts Horewitz of Connellsville; his three children, Milynn Hoffman and her husband, Mark Hoffman, and their three children, Alex, Elissa, and Max, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Deborah Hughes of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Gary Horewitz and his wife, Jessica, of Silver Spring, Md.; his brother, James Horewitz of California; his aunt, Beatrice Horewitz of Connellsville; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Horewitz was predeceased by his beloved wife of 35 years, Arlane Horewitz in 1996. Mr. Horewitz had a private law practice in Connellsville, through which he worked for many people throughout the area since 1960. His practice of law extended throughout Fayette, Westmoreland, and surrounding counties. Most recently, he was senior partner at the law firm of Horewitz & Cordaro in Connellsville. Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, First Street, Connellsville, Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon, at which time a funeral service will be held. JAMES H. KESLAR

James H. Keslar, 53, of Melcroft, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, in the Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Jan. 26, 1947, in Connellsville, a son of Harold and Vera Martin Keslar of Ligonier. He was employed as an electronic technician for Jiffy Service of Grapeville and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam conflict. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sharon Proudfit Keslar; two sons , Harold and Joe Keslar of Melcroft; a daughter, Paula Keslar of Melcroft; two grandchildren, Mara and Hannah Hiltabidel; two brothers , Richard "Dick" Keslar and his wife, Beverly, of Norvelt and Keith Keslar and his wife, Lori, of Ligonier; and a sister, Barbara Sleasman and her husband, Kevin, of Somerset. Friends will be received in the CLYDE BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 711, Melcroft, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. William Yoder officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Saltlick Township.

ISABEL I. KORCHOK

Isabel I. Korchok, 76, of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Jeannette, died Monday, June 5, 2000, in the Beaufont Health Care Center, Richmond, Va. She was born July 27, 1923, in Penn, the daughter of the late Harold C. Sr. and Helen M. Bollinger Kifer. Prior to retirement, she was a manager at K-Mart. She was a member of the Women's Fun Club of Lake Henry Golf Club and a former member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Jeannette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Martin P. Korchok Sr.; a son, Martin P. Korchok Jr.; and a brother, Harold Kifer Jr. She is survived by two daughters , Donna Blauner of Virginia and Paula Veverka and her husband, David, of Jeannette; five grandchildren, Leisa Pacella, David and Daniel Diebel, and Jason and Steven Veverka; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. John Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.

Irene E. (Ference) Kukla, 69, of Wilmerding, died Monday, June 5, 2000. A daughter of the late John and Mary (Stofan) Ference. Wife of the late Stanley F. Kukla Sr. Beloved mother of Stanley F. (Diane) Kukla Jr., Katherine J. "Kathy" Stoughton and Mark G. Kukla. Dear grandmother of Thomas J. Kasardo Jr., Chad M. and Katie D. Stoughton, and Nick, Stacie and Megan Kukla. Sister of Anna and Gerald Ference and the late Evelyn "Aggie" Robb, Josephine Pundzak, Helen Schmidt, Sister Athanasia, Michael, John, Elmer, George, Edward and Joseph Ference. Numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from noon to 9 p.m. and Thursday until the time of service at noon at the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding.
