Irene Gladys Jaggars Westington Eldred, Lake Ariel, died Thursday morning in the Brighten at Julia Ribaudo Senior Care Center. She was the widow of Merel Jaggars, William Westington and Claude Eldred.
Born in Avoy, daughter of the late Buell and Gertrude Bronson Chapman she attended the New Life Assembly of God Church and was a member of the Harriet Greene Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 198.
Surviving are sons Frederick and his wife Sandy of Lake Ariel, Merel, Jr. and his wife Audrey of Waymart, and Warren and his wife Linda of Lake Ariel; a step son Scott Eldred of Georgia; a step daughter in law Alona Westington of Jermyn; a sister Raietta Frable of Moscow; fourteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a sister Kathryn Shields; brothers Lester and Bob Chapman; half brother John Craig; step sons Robert and William Westington.
The funeral will Monday at 10am in the James Wilson Funeral Home Route 296 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with services by Rev. William Rushik and Rev. Barry Jaggars, grandson.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5pm.
Interment, East Canaan Cemetery.

Dean A. Hall
Died April 13, 2006
Dean A. Hall, 44, Lake Ariel, died Thursday evening as a result of an automobile accident.
Born March 25 1962 in Schenectady, NY son of Rabin J & Ramona L McLaren Hall of Amsterdam NY. He was President and owner of Active Communications, Inc. He was a graduate of Schoharie Central High School in New York.
Dean will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities and his dogs Badger and Sassy.
Surviving are his fiancé Nancy Utter of Lake Ariel; a brother William R of Amsterdam, NY,; a sister Catherine S Hall of West Charlton, NY; 2 nieces Ashley J. Hall and Samantha N. Newberry; a nephew Raymond A Newberry.

Cremation will follow at the Vale Crematory in New York.

Mary J. Ramble, Lake Ariel, died Thursday morning in Brighten at Julia Ribaudo Senior Care Center after an illness. She was the widow of Harry L. Ramble.
Born in Steene, daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine Haky Oberly she was a member of St. Thomas More Church and it’s Altar and Rosary Society. Prior to retirement she had been employed as the Food Service Manager for the Head Start Program. She was a lifetime member of the Lake Ariel Fire Company Auxiliary.
Surviving are daughters Joan Belles of Lake Ariel and Betty Hamilton of Acworth, Ga.; a sister Josephine Grossman-Fortina of Prompton; three grandchildren; two great grand children; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers Jacob and John Oberly ; sisters Evelyn Ginda, Kathryn Jones, Anna Warholik, and Veronica Ravnikar.
The funeral will Tuesday 9:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home Route 296 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with Mass to be celebrated at 9:30am in St. Thomas More Church.

Elizabeth L. Seeley of Moscow died Thursday evening at home. She was the widow of Laurence "Larry" Seeley who died in 2000.
She was born in Hornel NY daughter of the late Harry & Almeda Kizer Lown. She was a member of the Pocono Bible Church, Mountainhome and was a graduate of Moscow High School.
Surviving are 3 daughters Bette Jeanne Demers of Port Richie, Fl, Lorraine Parry of Panama, and Beverly Seeley of Glade Springs, Va; a sister Margaret Edna Black of Moscow; 11 Grandchildren; 29 Great grandchildren; 1great great grandson; several nieces & nephews.
The Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11am in the James Wilson Funeral Home Rt 296 Gravity Rd, Lake Ariel with services by the Rev Barry Whitmer.
Interment East Canaan Cemetery.

William R. Davis
April 10, 2006
Surrounded by his family, William R. Davis, 65, Lake Ariel, went home to be with the Lord at Mercy Hospice after a courageous battle with an illness on April 10, 2006. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, the former Lorraine Moore.
Born November 20, 1940 in Honesdale son of the late Lester and C. Lenore Davis. He was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated High School. He was a member of the Hamlin Assembly of God Church. Through the years he was very active in the church as a deacon youth leader, and working with the Royal Ranger program. He served in the United Sates Army from 1960 through 1963. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Michael Vasquez Heating and Plumbing for over 25 years.
He enjoyed Long walks with his dog Jack. The biggest joy of his life was spending time with his family.
Surviving are a son William, Jr of Scranton; a daughter Julie Schweinsburg and her husband Timothy and their three children Nicholas, Sarah, and Joseph of South Canaan; two brothers Lester Davis and his wife Jeanne and Ronald Davis and his wife Maxine all of Lake Ariel; two sisters Helen Weston and her husband Michael of Lake Ariel and Kristy Lockwood and her husband Dan of South Canaan; 11 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 11am in the Hamlin Assembly of God Church Route 191 Hamlin.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home Route 296 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel and Friday morning from 10am until time of service at the church.

Lynda D. Behnke 44, of Lake Ariel died Monday evening in Mercy Hospital, Scranton after a long illness. Her husband is Jeffrey S. Behnke.
She was born in Oyster Bay, NY daughter of William & Patricia Towne Hoerschgen of Lake Ariel. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Laverne in California. Prior to her illness she had been employed by The Bowing Aircraft Co in Human Resources.
Surviving are a son Jeffrey W. at home; a brother Frank Hoerschgen of Lake Ariel; step brother William of NY; sisters Toni Spaccarelli of NY, Lisa Reeke of Lake Ariel, and Helene Montana of Clarks Summit; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a stepsister Evelyn Hoerschgen.
Funeral services will be private at the convience of the family.

Jean M. DeBiase, Lake Ariel, died Saturday in the Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness. She was the widow of Alfred DeBiase.
Born in Stamford, Ct., daughter of the late Luigi and Sperenzina Annunziato Amoto she was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Ledgedale. Prior to retirement she had been employed as a seamstress.
Surviving are a daughter Janet Schmedes and her husband John Briggs of Lakeville; several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9am in St. Thomas More Church, corner of Tresslarville and Gravity Rds. Lake Ariel by Rev. Ronald Altrui.
Interment, Forest Green Park, Old Bridge, New Jersey.

Leo L. Andracki

Leo L. Andracki, Ledgedale, died Wednesday at home. His wife was the former Anna Mae Shutkufski who died in 1989.
Born in Throop, son of the late Matthew and Elizabeth Kniej Andracki, Sr. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Ledgedale. Prior to retirement he had been employed by the Chrysler Corp. in Eynon as a machinist. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran serving in the Battle of Iwo Jima with the 4th Marine Division.
He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Surviving are a son Lawrence Andracki and daughter Pat Perkins both of Ledgedale; a sister Cecilia Pesarcik of Hamlin; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers Henry, Matthew and Joseph.
Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, Ledgedale.

Junetta "June" Mitchell, 76, of Drinker, Pa. died Thursday afternoon in the Brighten at Julia Ribaudo Senior Care Center after an illness. She was the wife of John Mitchell.
Born in Sterling, daughter of the late Lewis and Georgetta Alger Sheerer.
Junetta was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be sadly missed.
Surviving are sons John, Jr. of Hollisterville, William of Maplewood, and Elmer of Drinker; daughters Jane Ward and Katherine Mitchell both of Drinker; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a brother Elmer and a sister Mildred Brown.
