Antoinette M. Kiehart, South Canaan, died Wednesday after being stricken ill at home. Her former husband was the late Andrew Kiehart.
Born in South Canaan, daughter of the late Adam and Mary Tacorchick Jubinsky she was a graduate of Waymart High School. She was a member of St. Tikhon’s Monastery Church, South Canaan. Prior to retirement she had been employed by the Grossinger Hotel in Monticello, New York.
Surviving are daughters Faith Ballotti of Chicago and Mary Ann Havrilak of Astoria, New York; a brother John Jubinsky of Binghamton; sisters Kathryn Lucas of Waymart and Helen Ostroll of Honesdale; grandchildren Gregory, Raissa, and Benjamin; great grandchild Livia; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am in St. Tikhon’s Monastery Church, South Canaan.
Friends may call Saturday at the Monastery from 10am until time of service.
Interment, St. Tikhon’s Cemetery.

Carolyn A. Field
Died August 7, 2006
Carolyn A. Field, Hamlin, died Monday in the Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton after an illness. Her husband is Ronald J. Field.
Born in Cortez, daughter of the late Floyd and Caroline Collins Frisbie, she was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School.
Surviving are sons Ronnie and his Marie, of Hamlin, Jammie and his wife Anne, of Mt. Cobb; daughters Connie Beavers, of Hamlin and Sherrie Ortman of Maplewood; sister Helen Fernandes, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers Walter and James Frisbie; a sister Irene DelQuerico.
Cremation in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

Jeraldine Hughes
Died Aug 3, 2006
Jeraldine Hughes, Cortez died Thursday morning in the Moses Taylor Hospital after being stricken ill at home. She was the widow of John Hughes.
Born in Long Island, NY daughter of the late Walter and Marion Thiely Compton. She was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are a brother Walter; several cousins; and many close friends in the Cortez area.
Preceded in death by a son Richard.
The funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:30am in the James Wilson Funeral Home Route 296 Gravity Rd Lake Ariel with services by the Rev John Craig.
Entombment Glenwood Mausoleum.

Melody Thomas

Melody Thomas, 58, Lake Ariel died Tuesday in the Osprey Ridge Nursing Home after an illness.
Born in Honesdale, daughter of Douglas Theobald, Lake Ariel and the late Helen Buckingham Theobald. She was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School and was employed at Katz’s in Honesdale until their closing.
Melody had a great love for animals, especially her cat Ebony. She was well liked by everyone she met and will be in their hearts forever.
Surviving are a son Wayne Thomas and his wife Dana of Wyoming; a brother Bill Theobald and his wife Karen of Lake Ariel; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be no public viewing.
Interment private at the convenience of the family.

Anne E. Weinz

Anne E. Weinz, Lake Ariel, formerly of Yonkers, died Saturday at home after an illness. Her husband was Francis Charley Weinz who died in 2004.
Born in the Bronx, daughter of the late Peter and Winifred McGaw Murray. She was a graduate of the Walton High School in the Bronx and was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Ledgedale. Prior to retirement she had been employed by the Bank of New York as a clerk.
Surviving are daughters Bonnie E. Clark and her husband Jim of Lake Ariel, Debra Olsson of Delmar, NY, and Charann Winters and her husband Orlin of Boise, Id; brothers Charles of Maryland and Kenneth of Wisconsin; a sister Catherine Marcinak of New Jersey; grandchildren Anne Turk, Peggy Milazzo, Orion Weinz, and Jonathan Olsson; great grandchildren Ryan, Elizabeth and John Francis Turk; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a brother Peter; sisters Margaret Dugan and Winifred Duvoisin.
The Funeral will be Friday at 9:15am in the James Wilson Funeral Home Route 296 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with Mass to be celebrated Friday at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, Ledgedale.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8pm.
Cremation will take place in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel with interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.
Wallace G. Emerick
July 25, 2006
Wallace G. Emerick, Lake Ariel, died Tuesday night in the Dunmore Health Care Center after an illness. His wife was the late Elizabeth Connolly.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Joseph and Ruth Clift Griffith. He was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School class of 1937. He was of the Methodist faith. Prior to retirement he had been self employed as a contractor. He was a United States Army World War II veteran.
Surviving are sons Robert and Kenneth both of Lake Ariel; daughters Ruth Heal of Lake Ariel, Patricia Emerick of Moscow, and Beverly Jenkins of Honesdale; a sister Priscilla Redman of New York; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his adoptive Father William Emerick.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10am in the Centenary United Methodist Church, Hamlin with services by Rev. Ron Onder.

Walter E. Hall

Walter E. Hall, Waymart, died Tuesday night in the VNA Hospice Unit at the Community Medical Center after a long illness to be at peace with the Lord.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Wesley and Alice Enslin Hall. He was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School. Prior to retirement he had been employed by Lockheed Martin for 28 years, retiring in 2001.
Walter was a loving and generous man to his children and he will be dearly missed. May he finally rest in peace and be in the loving arms of the Lord.
Surviving are a daughter Kim Torquati and her husband Michael of Waymart; a son Wesley Hall and his wife Barbara of Lake Wallenpaupack; a son Earl Hall and his beloved dog Junior of Waymart; a brother Edwin Hall of Lake Ariel; sisters Sandra Enslin of Chambersburg and Barbar Stanat of Shippensburg; grandchildren Kyrtsal and Kelly Oliver, Scott, Kaitlyn, and Marissa Torquati, Zachary and Joshua Gershey, Ashlyn and Zoey Hall, Ashley and Chance Wallace.
The funeral will be Saturday at 12 (noon) in the James Wilson Funeral Home Route 296 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Louis A. Cagliostro, Wallenpaupack Lake Estates, Lake Ariel, died Saturday morning in the Community Medical Center after an illness. His widow is the former Nina Castellano.
Born in New York, NY son of the late Michele and Domenica Tripodi Cagliostro he was a graduate of the New Uretck High School. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Ledgedale. Prior to retirement he had been employed by Universal Utilities as a oil burner technician. He was a member of the Staff Sergeant Paul A Sweeney American Legion Post 807, Hamlin. He was a United Sates Army Veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two daughters Denise Jaeger and Patricia Sewell both of Long Island; two grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a brother Joseph and a sister Rose Carrano.

Robert E. Krull, Moscow, died early Tuesday morning in the VNA Hospice Unit at the Community Medical Center after an illness. His widow is the former Mary Brown.
Born in Wichita Falls, Tx. Son of the late Robert C and Emma Krottenger Krull he was a member of the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hawley. Prior to retirement he had been employed as a manager with Con Ed. He was a United States Navy veteran serving in World War II.
Surviving are sons Robert of Hamlin and Patrick of Stroudsburg; a brother Raymond of Louisiana; a sister Dorothy Hammil of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren Diana, Crystal, and Patrick; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a sister Lillian.

John Himka, 92, Lake Ariel, died Monday night in the VNA Hospice at the Community Medical Center after an illness. His widow is the former Helen Gardoski. The couple celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in June of 2006.
Born in Olyphant, son of the late Peter and Theodosia Shulhan Himka he was a member of St. Thomas More Church. Prior to retirement he had been employed as a foreman with the S J Bailey and sons, Inc. and the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
Surviving are two sons Paul J. of Lathrop Twp and Thomas E. of Vestal, NY; two brothers Paul of Springville, Pa. and Theodore of Renton, Wa; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by two brothers William and Peter and a sister Ann.
