KARL F. GEBHARDT

Karl F. Gebhardt, 69, of Pittsburgh, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in Allegheny General Hospital, North Side. He was born July 2, 1930, in Pittsburgh. Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a machinist by Empire Specialty Co. Mr. Gebhardt was a member of West View VFW Post 2754. He is survived by his wife, Anna "Nan" Connolly Gebhardt; five daughters , Theresa "Terrie" Bauer of Ross Township, Nancy Mertz of Pittsburgh, Bridget Morris of Dormont, Janice Morgan of Sharon and Joan Hopfer of Pittsburgh; a son, Karl J. Gebhardt of Irwin; a sister, Helen Bellas of McCandless Township; and 12 grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the SIMONS FUNERAL HOME INC., 7720 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, (412) 367-3100, www.simonsfuneralhomeinc.com. Mass of Christian Burial in Nativity Church Friday at 11 a.m. Interment in North Side Catholic Cemetery.

ISAAC CLAYTON HIXSON

Isaac Clayton "Boots" Hixson, 87, of Greensburg RD2 (Brinkerton), died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at home. He was born July 27, 1912, in Brinkerton, a son of the late Samuel P. and Anna E. (Rumbaugh) Hixson. Prior to retirement, he worked as a foreman for Dickerson Enterprises of Youngwood. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, Trauger, was a life member of the Hecla Sportsmen's Club, and social member of Norvelt V.F.D. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers , Clarence and Harry Hixson; and seven sisters , Elma Kantor, Marie Yockman, Edna Walthour, Anna Mae Frye, Olive Keener, Pearl Adams, and Alice Palenchar. He is survived by his wife, Almeda (Barnhart) Hixson; two sons , Samuel L. and wife, Donna, of Greensburg RD2 and Thomas C. Hixson and wife, Paula, of Greensburg RD8; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David J. Ackerman officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Reformed Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township.

QUENTIN J. NARDUZZI

Quentin J. Narduzzi, 23, of Ligonier, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in Greensburg. He was born Feb. 2, 1977, in Jeannette. He had been employed by the McMahan Construction Co. of Latrobe. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Quinto and Marie Narduzzi. He is survived by his Father , Joseph Q. Narduzzi and his companion, Richelle O'Malley, of Greensburg; a daughter, Paige Oswald of Ligonier; his companion, Crystal DeWitt and her son, Dakota Wilson, of Ligonier; a brother, Antonio D. Narduzzi of Greensburg; two sisters , Angela M. Narduzzi and Brandy Weightman, both of Greensburg; a nephew, C.J. Scarpa of Greensburg; and two cousins, Carlos Garcia and Sophia Garcia, both of Greensburg. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 1:30 p.m. Private interment in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.

KARL E. NEMMER

Karl E. Nemmer, of Carrick, on Wednesday, May 31, 2000. Husband of Betty H. Turoski Nemmer; Father of Karl J., Carol Brickley, and Joseph P. Nemmer; grandfather of Sara, Steve, and Kurt Nemmer; and brother of the late John, Julian, and Regis Nemmer. Visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at BORON FUNERAL HOME INC., 1719 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh. Relatives and friends invited to attend his funeral Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Basil Church at 10 a.m.

CARL J. WOHLMUTH

Carl J. Wohlmuth, 77, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, at his home. Born Nov. 19, 1922, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Joseph and Marie Muellerscheon Wohlmuth. He was retired from the Edgeworth Club in Sewickley. A veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Carl B. Wohlmuth. He was the dearly beloved husband of Clara T. Umenhofer Wohlmuth. He is also survived by his beloved son, Mark J. Wohlmuth of Latrobe; a daughter, JoAnne Saylor of South Carolina; a brother, Joseph Wohlmuth of Carnegie; and a sister, Nancy Bowers of Dearborn Heights, Mich. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Youngstown, Pa., with the Rev. Chad Ficorilli, O.S.B., as celebrant. Interment will be private. military services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

MARY R. WOLINSKY

Mary R. Wolinsky, 91, of Greensburg, passed away in the Reston Hospital Center in Reston, Va., Tuesday, May 30, 2000. She was born in Scottdale, Sept. 2, 1908, a daughter of the late Annie Schwartz and Sherman Rosensteel Rath. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. William Wolinsky, U.S. Army retired and former police chief of Greensburg, in 1979; a brother, Roy Rath; baby sister, Florence, in 1919; brother, Eugene S. Rath, in 1997; and special sister-in-law, Fay Wolinsky. Prior to retirement in 1972, Mrs. Wolinsky was an employee in the clerical services department of Westmoreland Regional Hospital. Mary was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Youngwood, a charter member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Hose Co. #6, a member of the Western Pa. and Pa. State Firemen's Auxiliaries. She was past president and charter member of the former Auxiliary of General Green Lodge #56 F.O.P. She was past president of Golden Rod Lodge #273 UTW of Youngwood, of which she was a member since 1925, and member of its past president club. She was an auxiliary member of the Retired Officers Association Greensburg Chapter, Youngwood High School Alumna Association, Greater Greensburg Senior Citizens Association and the AARP. Mrs. Wolinsky is survived by her son, Sherman and his wife, Shirley, of Greensburg; a daughter, Linda Zane Beaver and her husband, William, of Reston, Va.; a stepgranddaughter, Amy Scherer and her husband, Ray, and children, Raelynn and Zachary of Latrobe; a brother, retired Navy Capt. Elmer Ray Rath and his wife, Betty, of San Diego, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Florence Wolinsky of Highland Beach, Fla.; two aunts, Carolyn Wolinsky of Greensburg and Sylvia Wolinsky of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. David Jack officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery. The family wishes memorial contributions to one's favorite local charity.

VIOLA MONFREDO COSTAS

Viola Monfredo Costas, of Churchill, formerly of Universal, on Thursday, June 1, 2000. Beloved wife of Andrew N. Costas. Sister of Ellie Rosal and the late William Jr. and Joseph Monfredo. Also survived by an aunt, uncles and several nieces and nephews. Former school teacher of Penn Hills School District. Member of Christ Lutheran Church of Forest Hills. Friends received Saturday and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD., ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Forest Hills. Interment following the service in Plum Creek Cemetery.

EMILY ZULA AIRD DORSEY

Emily Zula Aird Dorsey, 74, of North Irwin, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in Jeannette. She was born March 14, 1926, in Latrobe, the daughter of the late Jessie and Ruth Baughman Aird. She is survived by her spouse, Oscar H. Dorsey; two sons , Kip L. Dorsey and wife, Dolores, of Irwin and Dean L. Dorsey and wife, Susan, of Medina, Ohio; a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Mosykoki and husband, Tom, of Jeannette; and six grandchildren. Arrangements by the VINCENT V. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin.

VIRGINIA R. FELGAR

Virginia R. Felgar, 77, a beloved wife, mother , and grandmother, of Orchard Avenue, Scottdale, passed away suddenly Friday morning, June 2, 2000, at her residence. Virginia was born June 23, 1922, in Everson, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Ernest F. and Mary C. Ruse Moorhead. Virginia married William A. Felgar on May 27, 1938. Virginia was a longtime resident of the Scottdale area, and for many years worked as a clerk for the former A&P grocery store in the community. She also was employed as a clerk with the former Scottdale Bakery. She was a former member of the Everson Evangelical Church. Virginia is survived by her loving family: her husband of 62 years, William A. Felgar; her daughter, Dolores Jean Espey of Scottdale; her three grandchildren, Joseph R. Espey Jr. and his wife, Beth, Randy Espey and his wife, Vicki, and Kisa Nelson and her husband, Kelvin, all of Scottdale RD1; her six great-grandchildren, Sarah Espey, Joseph R. Espey III, Emily Espey, Rebecca Espey, Kelvin Nelson Jr. and Stephanie Nelson; a sister, Pauline E. Skovira of Scottdale; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Pamela Espey, in 1987; two brothers , Howard and Frederick Moorhead; and an infant brother, Donald R. Moorhead. Family and friends will be received at the ROBERT B. AGNES LILLIAN (FABIAN) KILLMEYER

Agnes Lillian (Fabian) Killmeyer, 91, of Elliott and Green Tree, on Thursday, June 1, 2000. Wife of the late James Louis Killmeyer; mother of Lois A. Hoerster, James R., Michael T., and Timothy J. Killmeyer; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Killmeyer was the last surviving child of Ladislaw and Mary Fabian of Moran (Houtzdale), Pa. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters , John Fabian, Marie Caldwell, Anna Hermesky, Verna Vipond, Helen Voccolla, Irene Coghenour, Susan Slifko, Nellie Sefchick, and Michael Fabian. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. SUNDAY ONLY at the ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, 900 Chartiers Ave., W.E., Pittsburgh. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Green Tree, Monday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Margaret of Scotland Church or the Salvation Army.

ANTHONETTE D. KUSIOLEK

Anthonette D. Kusiolek, 76, of Youngwood, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, in Youngwood. She was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Everson, a daughter of the late Bartholomew and Anna Kuniec. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Kusiolek; a brother, Michael Kuniec; three sisters , Marty Reese, Sophia Foriska and Josephine S. Drotser; an infant brother, Andrew Kuniec; an infant sister, Mary Catherine Kuniec; and a grandson, Michael C. Kusiolek. She is survived by four sons , James B. Kusiolek of New Stanton, Charles D. Kusiolek and wife, Jeanette, of Uniontown, Kevin W. Kusiolek and wife, Judie, of Columbia, Md., and Kenneth M. Kusiolek of Natrona Heights; and five grandchildren, Jennifer M., Michelle A., Nicole A., Kevin C. and Ashley M. Kusiolek. She was retired from Westmoreland Manor and was a member of Holy Cross Church, Youngwood. Friends will be received at the C. RICHARD McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Youngwood, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church with Father John S. Szczesny as celebrant. Interment will follow at Westmoreland County Memorial Park.

RITA FRESCURA MANOVICH

Rita Frescura Manovich, 84, of Export, died Thursday, June 1, 2000. She was born May 12, 1916, in Export, a daughter of the late Egidio (Frank) and Onorina "Nella" DeMichiel Frescura. Rita was a member of St. Mary Church and the S.N.P.J. Lodge, both of Export, and was also corresponding secretary of the sons of Columbus, Liberty Council, for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miller; two sons , Robert and Nicholas "Mops" Manovich; two sisters , Regina "Jennie" Zaremba and Dora Morris; and a brother, Anthony Frescura. She is survived by a son, Leroy Oddis and family of New Jersey; a sister, Gloria Watson and family of Murrysville; four grandchildren, Michael, Mark and Bobbi Manovich and Dana Miller; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the EDWIN N. WOLFE FUNERAL HOME INC., Export, where services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with Father Dismas Young officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery, Export.

HELEN IRENE McCANN

Helen Irene McCann, 83, of Naples, Texas , died Thursday, June 1, 2000, in Titus Regional Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Texas . She was born Aug. 6, 1916, in Madison, Wis. She had lived in Naples, Texas , since 1986. She was a retired secretary for U.S. Steel Co. and a member of the Life Tabernacle Church in Naples. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William John Fredley; two sons ; and a great-grandson, Jonathan W. Ambler. Surviving are a son, John Alan Fredley of North Huntingdon; three daughters , Carole I. Wright of Lampasas, Texas , Helen L. Miller of Barboursville, Va., and Ruth Elaine Myers of Naples, Texas ; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the ALEXANDER FUNERAL HOME INC., Naples, Texas , with the Rev. Randy Seybert officiating. Interment in Creekmore Cemetery.

HELEN O. MONTGOMERY

Helen O. Montgomery, 79, of Monroeville, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was born Sept. 15, 1920, in Ford City, beloved daughter of the late James W. and Mary E. Fennel Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Montgomery. She is survived by her daughters , Carol Arlene Baum of North Versailles and Ellen Denise Luffey of Ford City; a son, Derwood H. Montgomery of Irwin; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters , Margaret Baker of Ford City and Jean Jackson of Cochranton; and brothers , Donald and Clifford Davis of Ford City. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the GENE H. CORL INC. FUNERAL CENTER OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
