ELEANOR (ODELLI) ANGELO

Eleanor (Odelli) Angelo, 81, of Smithton, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at the Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born Dec. 31, 1918, in Smithton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Reghini) Odelli. Eleanor was the owner and operator of Eleanor's Hotel in Smithton for 55 years. She loved serving her customers daily and became well-known for her fried chicken on weekends. Eleanor was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Smithton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Miles Angelo; and two brothers , Donald and Delmar Odelli. Eleanor is survived by her first husband, Joseph Bosetti of Fitz Henry. She was the beloved mother of Mrs. Marlene Fabean and her husband, Jack, of Smithton; beloved grandmother of Jack Fabean and his wife, Sherrie, of West Newton and Mrs. Mona Shaffer and her husband, John, of Smithton; and beloved great-grandmother of Jonathan, Justin and Jared Shaffer and Jimmy and Stefanie Foster. Eleanor was also the beloved stepmother of Mrs. Judith May and her husband, Mike, of Sutersville and James Angelo of Belle Vernon; and beloved stepgrandma of Sherry and Scott May and Jimmy, Miles and Donna Angelo. She is survived by a brother, Melvin Odelli and his wife, Joyce, of Smithton; a sister, Mrs. Gwen German and her husband, Pete, of Smithton, with whom she resided; and a sister-in-law, Ann Odelli of Smithton. Eleanor was also the beloved aunt of Mrs. Lisa Nickels and her husband, Francis, of Herminie and Donald "Hutch" German and his wife, Diana, of Pittsburgh; and the beloved great-aunt of Erica and Hilary Nickels and Lexie and Tyler German. Also numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, many of whom were customers during her 55 years in business. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Herminie, (724) 446-7251, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at noon in St. Timothy R.C. Church, Smithton, with the Rev. Paul R. Stivason as celebrant. Interment will follow in the West Newton Cemetery. A St. Timothy parish rosary will be recited Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

KATHERINE BASSARA

Katherine "Kate" Bassara, 84, formerly of Turtle Creek, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000. A daughter of the late Milovan and Janja (Malobabich) Bassara. Sister of the late Mary Banda, Mike Bassara and Anne Tumbas. Beloved aunt of Mim Pfrogner, Mike Banda, Joanne McCluskey, Bob Bassara, Sandi Radoja and Peter Tumbas. Also numerous great-nieces and -nephews. Friends received at ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Pomen service Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Services in the funeral home Thursday at 11:30 a.m., followed by services at noon in St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Serbian E.O. Church, 2110 Haymaker Road, Monroeville, PA 15146, or the charity of the donor's choice. Miss Bassara was retired from the former Westinghouse Electric in Trafford and East Pittsburgh.

BONNIE L. FORBES BLAKE

Bonnie L. Forbes Blake, 61, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in McKeesport. She was born in McKeesport and was a resident of North Irwin. Wife of James P. Blake. Arrangements by the VINCENT V. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin.

VIRGINIA VELIA (LUSETTI) BREWER

Virginia "Gina" Velia (Lusetti) Brewer, 75, died peacefully Sunday, May 14, 2000, at her home in Plano, Texas . Her kind and loving spirit will be missed by all. Gina was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Jeannette. She was preceded in death by her Father , John Lusetti; her mother , Clementina Lusetti; a brother, Walter Lusetti; and a son, Charles Brewer. She is survived by an uncle and aunt, Jim and Velia Armogida in Canton, Ohio; a sister, Rose Hansen in Simi, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Sandy Moore and Tim Thompson, daughter and son-in-law, Gina Rae and John Dewildt, and daughter, Dorothy D. "DeDe" Williams; grandchildren, Christian, Nicholas, Tina, Jesse, Matt, Charles and Rebecca; and five nieces and nephews. Gina requested no services. She wishes to be remembered for the special moments she shared with those she loved. ALAINNA ROSALIE CAHILL

Alainna Rosalie Cahill, was born and died Monday, May 15, 2000, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She is survived by her parents, Paul and Wendy Svenson Cahill of Blairsville; sisters , Kayla Cahill and Lacey Petika, both at home; grandparents, Byron and Laura Svenson of Blairsville, and Bryce and Cathy Cahill of Penn Hills; great-grandparents, Elmer B. and Catherine Svenson of McKeesport, and Albert James Krasman of Blairsville; also aunts, uncles and cousins. A family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 19, by the Rev. Larry J. Kulick in St. Mary Czestochowa Church, McKeesport. Arrangements by the HUNTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 1600 Coursin St., McKeesport. The family suggests contributions to the March of Dimes.

MICHAEL CHICHWAK

Michael Chichwak, 76, of Plum Borough, formerly of Greenfield, suddenly on Monday, May 15, 2000. Beloved husband of the late Mary Hayko and Josephine Chichwak. Loving Father of Michael J. Sr. and Nancy Sciarretti of Florida. Grandfather of Jamie Sciarretti and Michael J. "Chich" and Jonathan Chichwak. Beloved friend of Lois Schoming. Friends welcomed at the JOHN N. ELACHKO FUNERAL HOME, 3447 Dawson St., Oakland, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Church. RICHARD W. DAVENPORT

Richard W. Davenport, 58, of West Union, W.Va., formerly of Saltsburg, died Friday, May 12, 2000, due to injuries he received in a motorcycle accident in Doddridge County, W.Va. He was born March 4, 1942, in Bell Township, a son of Alison G. and Hazel I. McDivitt Davenport. He had lived in Saltsburg prior to moving to West Virginia in 1983. He retired in 1983 as a heavy equipment operator for the Operator Engineers Local #66. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Also he was a former member of the Poke Run Presbyterian Church in Delmont, a life member of the NRA and DAV in West Virginia, DAV Service Foundation, and a life member of the North American Hunters Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alison R. Davenport. Survived by his wife of 35 years, Cathy Lee Seger Davenport; a son, Richard Lee Davenport of Morgantown, W.Va.; a daughter, Patricia Daylene Parsons of Moundsville, W.Va.; six grandchildren; a brother, James Davenport of Harrison City; and two sisters , Dorothy J. Sottoriva of Saltsburg and Elizabeth Antonacci of Venice, Fla. Friends will be received Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. in the GERALD J. MEDICE FUNERAL HOME, 604 Moore Ave., North Apollo. Services from the funeral home Thursday, May 18, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert M. Upton officiating. Interment Poke Run Presbyterian Cemetery in Delmont.

NANCY A. McINTYRE ELLIOTT

Nancy A. McIntyre Elliott, 70, of Hunker, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in the Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. Nancy was the daughter of the late Walter Roy and Bessie Irene Baughman McIntyre. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Ball, and a brother, James McIntyre. She is survived by her husband, H. Robert Elliott, with whom she would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in September. Also survived by two daughters , Mrs. Judith and husband, James Ungvarsky, of South Greensburg and Joyce Elliott of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, who meant everything to her, Jason and Julie Ungvarsky; a sister, Mrs. Henrietta and husband, Linc Fleck, of Gibsonia; and a brother, Kenneth and his wife, Jacqueline McIntyre, of Greensburg. Also survived by numerous brothers - and sisters -in-law, and nieces and nephews. Nancy is also survived by five people who, though not related, were like family to her, Jenny Brown and son, Jacob, Emily Boyle, Benjamin Kable and Joseph Smith. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church of Youngwood and an employee of Jim Just's Dry Cleaners in Youngwood and New Stanton. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Friday in St. Paul United Methodist Church, Youngwood, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. the time of service in the church with the Rev. David S. Jack officiating. Interment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.

HERMAN J. ENDERLE JR.

Herman J. Enderle Jr., 39, of Connellsville, died suddenly Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. He was born June 22, 1960, in Roswell, N.M., a son of Herman J. Enderle Sr. of Connellsville and the late Martha C. Ottenberg Enderle. Herman was a resident of Connellsville for most of his life, and a graduate of Connellsville Area High School with the class of 1978. He was the head store manager for Wal-Mart in Mt. Pleasant, and the former head store manager at the Wal-Mart in West Mifflin; prior to that he worked as the assistant manager for Wal-Mart in Washington , Pa. Herman was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church in Leisenring, and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Lions Club. Herman is survived by his loving wife, Patricia K. Orbin Enderle and his loving daughter, Rachel Enderle. In addition to his Father , he is also survived by three brothers , Joseph A. Enderle and his wife, Dee, of California, Eric T. Enderle and his wife, Leslie, of Maryland and Heath James Enderle and his wife, Dawn, of Connellsville; six sisters , Lynda Stenger and her husband, Steve, of Connellsville, Rhona Macheska and her husband, Floyd, of West Newton, Andrea Grimm and her husband, William, of Uniontown, Mary Etta Shaner and her husband, Robert, of Connellsville, Martha M. Enderle of West Newton and Heather Dawn Porterfield of Connellsville; his Father - and mother -in-law, Sylvester and Joyce Jaworski of Leisenring; and his sisters -in-law, Cheryl Ray and her husband, Jim, of Washington Pa., and Jhanna Sabatula and her husband, Rich, of Uniontown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother , he was predeceased by a sister, Joy Enderle; his maternal grandparents, Frederick and Mary Etta Ottenberg; and his paternal grandparents. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home FOR THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY AND FRIENDS ONLY. ALL OTHER FRIENDS WHO WISH TO ATTEND THE FUNERAL MASS ARE ASKED TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE ST. VINCENT DePAUL R.C. CHURCH, LEISEIRING, for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Peter Peretti as celebrant. A committal service and interment will follow in St. Rita Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.

ROBERT E. FELGAR

Robert E. "Bob" Felgar, 73, of Scottdale, passed away Tuesday morning, May 16, 2000, at his residence. Bob was born March 6, 1927, in East Huntingdon Township, a son of the late Samuel Lowe and Ruth A. Gallagher Felgar. Bob was a retired shipper with U.S. Steel's Irvin Works Division, Dravosburg, where be worked for 43 years, having retired on Aug. 31, 1987. He was a faithful member of the Glenwood United Methodist Church, South Huntingdon Township, for the past 23 years and church treasurer for the past 15 years. Bob also served on the church's Board of Trustees. He was formerly affiliated with the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church for many years. Bob portrayed Santa Claus at Christmastime throughout the area for various groups and organizations. He was also a frequent visitor to area hospitals and local nursing homes, and enjoyed attending dinners held by local organizations. Bob was known for his love of children, picking berries, and for his morning stop at McDonald's. A veteran of World War II, Bob served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army's Company G, 5th Infantry Division. His service included a tour in Europe with the Occupational Forces, for which he was awarded the European Occupational Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Bob was also a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1007 in Scottdale. Bob is survived by his loving family: a son, Mark E. Felgar and his wife, Vicki Huffman Felgar, of Youngwood; eight sisters , Betty Keffer of Scottdale RD1, Frances Welch of Smithton RD1, Mary Catherine Keffer and husband, Bud, of Dawson RD1, Muriel Booher and husband, Gilbert, of Bullskin Township, Marjorie Coughenour and husband, Wayne, of Bullskin Township, Dorothy Johnson and husband, Stanley, of Scottdale RD1, Martha Tietze and husband, Harold, of Herminie and Edith Kelley and husband, Windell, of Smithton RD1; a brother, Jack W. Felgar and wife, Helen, of Scottdale; a sister-in-law, Anna June Lender and husband, William, of Scottdale RD2; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Martha E. Myers Felgar, on Sept. 25, 1997; a brother, Samuel Hurst Felgar, on Jan. 17, 1986; and a sister, Doris Felgar, in 1949. Family and friends will be received in the ROBERT B. WILLIAM E. FLOREK

William E. Florek, 54, of Irwin, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born April 5, 1946, in Penn Township, a son of the late Ignace and Mary Good Florek. He was an employee of Penn State Tool and Die, North Huntingdon, for 25 years. He was a graduate of Penn Trafford High School. He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Davis Florek; four daughters , Kelly Koslow and her husband, Paul, and Tammi Florek, all of Wendel, Jana Florek and Amber Florek, both at home; a granddaughter, Nicole Koslow; two brothers , George Florek of Penn Township and James Florek of Jeannette; two sisters , Elsie McGearry of Greensburg and Leasia Glass of Georgia; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Frederick B. Zikeli officiating. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon.

JENNIE ABBIE GRAHAM

Jennie Abbie Graham, 94, of Ligonier, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon. She was born Oct. 11, 1905, in Michigan, a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Winifred VanHowe Pelton. She married Asher J. Northouse in 1930. Jennie was a beautician in Grand Rapids, Mich., for many years until she and her husband retired and bought a second home in Bonita Springs, Fla. Mr. Northouse died in 1970. Jennie married J. Cecil Graham of West Loyalhanna Street, Ligonier, on March 16, 1972. Cecil was a retired line crew foreman for West Penn Power and died in 1984. Jennie had no children of her own, but was a loving mother , grandmother and aunt to the wide circle of children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews she acquired in the Northouse and Graham families. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Baker; a stepdaughter, Vivian Graham (Mrs. Daniel) Linsenbigler; and a stepson, Raymond Graham. She is survived by a stepson, J. Cecil Graham Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Morgantown, W.Va.; a stepdaughter, Donnalee Graham Flaningam and her husband, Ora, of Midland, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Graham Cundiff of Naples, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Merwin Graham and his wife, Alverta, of Payne, Ohio; and sisters -in-law, Maud and Hazel Northouse of Jenison, Mich.; nine stepgrandchildren; and many stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC. & CREMATORY, Bell and East Church streets, Ligonier, from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, where services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Herbert G. Gates III officiating. Interment will be in Ligonier Valley Cemetery. Elizabeth Snyder Bloom, funeral director.

PETER GROSS

Peter Gross, 76, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, May 15, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born July 12, 1923, in Wall, a son of the late Stephen and Adolfa Wierzbicki Gross. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Westinghouse Electric, East Pittsburgh, as a machinist. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin, a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II, and the Parkinson's Support Group. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Gross. He is survived by his wife, Lenole Gongaware Gross; two daughters , Mrs. Thomas (Sandra Lynn) Savage of Monroe, N.Y., and Linda Susan Gross of Houston, Texas ; a brother, Stephen Gross of Clairton; three sisters , Nellie Roth of Monroeville, Mary Kalocky of Glassport and Stella Doraniuk of Trafford; and three grandchildren, Tyler John, Alexandra Lynn and Paige Nicole Savage. Friends will be received at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin, followed by interment in Irwin Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Care Foundation, 2735 Mosside Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146.
