ELVA WALKER CURTIS

Elva Walker Curtis, 81, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born March 12, 1919, in Windber, a daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Emma McFeely Walker. She attended the Christian Science Church of Greensburg and was a member of the F.O. Eagles of Scottdale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Curtis; a son, Dale Curtis; an infant daughter, Alice Curtis; six brothers , Bernard, Harry, Fred, George, Ralph and Charles Walker; and two sisters , Jane Swope and Ruth Cunningham. She is survived by a son, Kenneth H. Curtis and wife, Nancy, of Latrobe RD1; two daughters , Mrs. Paul (Dorothy "Jolly") Knopsnyder of Greensburg and Mrs. Charles (Jane) Klimchock of Manchester, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Mysta Klimchock Johnston, Ken Curtis, Paul and Mandy Knopsnyder, Tim Klimchock, Lanny Capo and Kristen Curtis; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Johnston; and three great-grandsons, Anthony, Adam and Alex Capo. A memorial service will be held in the LUTHER J. GRIMM FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Pleasant, Friday, May 5, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. D. Keith Solomon officiating.

ELINORE RUMCIK FABYONIC

Elinore Rumcik Fabyonic, 91, of Trafford, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Beverly Healthcare, Murrysville. She was born June 28, 1908, in Braddock, a daughter of the late Peter and Monica Zogelis Rumcik. She was a member of St. Regis Church, St. Regis Altar Rosary Society, American Legion Auxiliary, and CFU Lodge 541. She was instrumental with several other members in organizing Lodge 541 Ladies Club, and served as president for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Fabyonic; a brother, John Rumcik; and a sister, Dormicela Rumcik. She is survived by a daughter, Delores Peer of Trafford; two sons , Donald S. Fabyonic of Level Green and David J. Fabyonic of Plum; and two brothers , Frank Rumcik of Braddock and Edward Rumcik of Baden. Also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends were received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the DAVID A. RITTER FUNERAL HOME, 220 Edgewood Ave., Trafford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Regis Church with Father James D. Tringhese as celebrant. Interment will follow in Braddock Catholic Cemetery, North Braddock. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Beverly Healthcare of Murrysville, 3300 Logans Ferry Road, Murrysville, PA 15668.

OLIVER EDSALL GRAHAM

Oliver Edsall Graham, 79, of Derry, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at the home of his daughter in Apollo. He was born March 4, 1921, in Pleasant Unity, a son of the late Oliver C. and Mary (Edsall) Graham. Prior to retirement, he worked as a truck driver for Teledyne Coordinators in Irwin, and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a member of the Pleasant Unity United Methodist Church, where he was the member with the most consecutive years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth I. (Young) Graham. He is survived by his daughter, the Rev. Dr. Olivia E. Graham of Apollo; his son, Gary Richard Graham and his wife, Ila, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Kenneth Oliver and William Paul Graham; his brother, Charles Dale Graham and his wife, Mary, of Latrobe; his sister, Grace Guter and her husband, Paul, of Latrobe; four nieces and three nephews. Friends will be received at the GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity, Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Clark R. Kerr officiating. military services and interment will follow in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Unity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Pleasant Unity, PA 15676.

THE REV. ANTHONY J. HATOK

The Rev. Anthony J. Hatok, 48, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at home. He was born Aug. 6, 1951, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Anthony and Mary O'Brien Hatok. He was pastor of Holy Spirit Parish and Fellowship Center of Wilmerding for 20 years, owner of Anthony J. Hatok Insurance and Real Estate Agency of North Versailles, partner of Britner and Hatok Tax Consulting and Estate Planning of North Versailles, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, past president of East Allegheny School Board, co-director of the Brush Valley Christian Retreat, Indiana County, and founder of the New Friends Divorced Care Group of Wilmerding. He is survived by his former wife, Jerilynn Sunder Hatok Wenning; three children, Lt. Anthony J. Hatok of Crofton, Md., Alysia M. Tyskiewicz of White Oak, and Aaron J. Hatok of West Point; two half sisters ; and a special friend, the Rev. Anna Jean Britner. Friends received at the FORGIE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, Thursday and Friday from 12 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Anna Jean Britner officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.

MILDRED G. HELWIG

A memorial service for Mildred G. Helwig, 87, of Jeannette, who died April 18, 2000, will be held Saturday, May 6, at 11:30 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Jeannette with Pastor Dale W. Roddy officiating. Order of the Eastern Star services will be held in Mildred's honor. Interment will follow in Jeannette Memorial Park, Penn Township. LAWRENCE J. McCLURE FUNERAL HOME, 112 N. Second St., Jeannette, in charge of arrangements.

HOMER W. KING

Homer W. King, on Wednesday, May 3, 2000. Beloved husband of Ada C. King. Father of Stephanie K. Flannery of Pittsburgh, Byron W. King of Pittsburgh, Victoria King of Santa Monica, Calif., and Alexandra Thompson of Villanova, Pa.; brother of Alice Silverman of Gaithersburg, Md.; also survived by nine grandchildren. Friends were received at the JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS INC., 4900 Centre Ave. at Devonshire Street, Oakland, Thursday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Friday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bede Church at 11 a.m. Mr. King was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater of Operations. He was an attorney; and an avid pilot and golfer. He was a member of the Longue Vue Club, the Duquesne Club, the University Club, the Aero Club of Pittsburgh, and the Junta. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Pennsylvania , 1040 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh PA 15219.

JOSEPH G. LUDVIK

Joseph G. Ludvik, 69, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born July 16, 1930, in Humphreys, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Ludvik. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Latrobe. He was a Korean War veteran, having served with the U.S. Army, was retired from Latrobe Steel Co. with 37 years of service, a member of the Lloydsville Sportsmen's Club, and also an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Ludvik; and a sister, Agnes Tomasko. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Saville Ludvik; beloved Father of two sons , Gregory Ludvik and his wife, Lisa, of Latrobe and Jeffrey Ludvik of Ligonier; two daughters , Teresa Baldonieri and her husband, Gerry, of Latrobe and Rebecca Emanuele and her husband, Alan, of Norvelt; three brothers , Steve and John, both of Humphreys, and George Ludvik of Trauger; five sisters , Mary Sulter of Orlando, Fla., Margaret Hromadka of Maple Heights, Ohio, Ann Deditch of Scenery Hill, Pa., Dorothy Mott and Veronica Danser, both of Humphreys; and eight grandchildren, Kaylan Ludvik, Gerry, Carly, Anna, and Rebecca Baldonieri, J.J. Ludvik, and Maria and Angela Emanuele. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Friends received at the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, Latrobe, with the Rev. Thomas Lukac as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Unity Township. military services will be held at 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

DOLORES NINDLE

Dolores "Tiny" Nindle, 68, of Wimmerton, Latrobe, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000. She was born Jan. 17, 1932, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Craig and Alma Herdman Thomas. She was a graduate of Derry Borough High School, Class of 1949. Prior to her retirement, Dolores had been employed as a catalog manager by Montgomery Ward at Greengate Mall and also was employed at St. Anne's Home, Greensburg. She was a member of the Lycippus Calvary United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Frederick "Fritz" Nindle, on July 1, 1999. She is survived by two sons , Fred Nindle and his wife, Kathy, of Greensburg and Tom Nindle and his companion, Cheryl Geist, of Summerville, Pa.; a daughter, Lori Love and her husband, Rich, of North Huntingdon; four granddaughters, Kara and Kristie Nindle and Katie and Jamie Love; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no public visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to be held at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC. chapel, Latrobe, Saturday, May 6, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mildred Monticue officiating (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE FOR PLACE OF SERVICE). Memorial contributions may be made to the Lycippus Calvary United Methodist Church.

CLARA JANE SANNER

Clara Jane Sanner, 77, of Jeannette, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at home. She was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Penn Township, a daughter of the late Paul and Emma Lane Brinker. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the Old Republic Insurance Co. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, its funeral committee, a Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher, and the church's Evangelism and Social Ministry Committee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Sanner; a son-in-law, Ernest "Bob" Benford; a grandson, Ryan Benford; and a sister, Elsie C. Brinker. She is survived by a son, Richard Sanner and his wife, Nancy, of Jeannette; a daughter, Kathey Rodkey and her friend, Jim Scheuer, of Erie; four grandchildren, Robert Benford, Richard Benford and his wife, Lisa, and Michelle and Melissa Sanner; two great-grandchildren, Dominique and Rylee Benford; a brother, Lloyd Brinker of Peachtree, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends were received in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Theodore I. Bessey officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Westmoreland Hospice, 501 W. JOANNA MARIE DeLUCA SCAGLIONE

Joanna Marie DeLuca Scaglione, 76, of New Alexandria, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1924, in Crabtree, the daughter of the late Luigi and Mary Degli-Uomini DeLuca. She retired from Carbone's Restaurant in Crabtree after 20 years of service. She was of the Catholic faith. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, David Andrew Scaglione, in 1967; and two sons , Daniel and Leone. She is survived by a daughter, Lois Jean Scaglione of Ohio; four sisters , Nettie Zucco of Westmoreland City, Josephine Ferretti of Crabtree, Connie Hafer of Greensburg and Mary Ann Tompkins of Youngwood; and three brothers , Dominic DeLuca of Sheffield, Frank DeLuca and Louis DeLuca, both of Crabtree. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, the corner of Church and Washington Streets in New Alexandria. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church in Crabtree with the Rev. Father Luke Policicchio, O.S.B., as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Unity Township. There will be a parish rosary Thursday at 3 p.m.

George K. Schultz, of Mt. Lebanon, on Wednesday, May 3, 2000. Beloved husband for 50 years of Lillian Larson Schultz; dear Father of Sandra L. Shaw and Kenneth K. Schultz; Father -in-law of Joel E. THOMAS TYSON ZIEGLER

Thomas Tyson Ziegler, 82, of Derry, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born July 27, 1917, in Derry, a son of the late Charles A. Ziegler, who died in 1974, and Lillian Tyson Ziegler, who died in 1964. Prior to retirement, Tom was eastern editor for Saddle & Bridle Magazine and was an authority on bloodlines of American saddle-bred horses. A graduate of Notre Dame University, with a master's degree from Columbia University, he was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, having served throughout the U.S. and Guam while working on the "Manhattan Project." Tom previously worked in public relations for TWA in New York City and for 20 years he and his Father operated Ziegler's Bakery in Derry. He was deeply interested in and considered an authority of local history. Tom was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Derry and a member and historian for the Indiana, Greensburg, Derry and Scottdale historical societies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles C., in 1959; and two sisters , L. Louise Ziegler, in 1983, and Margaret O'Brien, in 1996. Tom is survived by his beloved brother and his family, Joseph J. Ziegler of Derry; three nephews, J. Gregory Ziegler and his wife, Patricia, of Greensburg, Charles F. O'Brien and his wife, Elaine, of Cherry Hill, N.J., and Thomas J. O'Brien and his wife, Doreen, of Springfield, Ill.; two nieces, Margaret O'Brien Smith and her husband, Seamus, of Seattle, Wash., and Marjorie L. Ziegler of White sboro, N.Y.; grandnephews and grandnieces, Sean, Christopher (godchild), Timothy and Brien Mumau, Andrew Ziegler (godchild), Christopher and Thomas O'Brien, Ryan, Patrick, Kathleen Murphy, Kaelen Aramaki, Lisa Copeland, Suzanne McDowell and Cathleen Betz; also 12 great-grandnephews and grandnieces. Friends received by family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the MICHAEL J. QUINLISK FUNERAL HOME, 548 N. Chestnut St., Derry.
