EDMUND D. ROTHWELL

Edmund D. "Bud" Rothwell, 85, of North Irwin, died Sunday, April 30, 2000. Born April 26, 1915, in Cowansburg, Pa., a son of the late Edward and Mary (Shoaf) Rothwell. He graduated from Sewickley Township High School, Class of 1933. He was retired from the maintenance department at Westinghouse Electric East Pittsburgh Works and also was a self-employed building contractor for several years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Irwin and was a former administrative board member of the church. He was a former North Irwin councilman; and a member of the North Irwin Planning Commission and the North Irwin Volunteer Fire Department. Also he was a member of Shidle Lodge F&AM #601, Syria Shrine Temple of Pittsburgh and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Steel), who died in 1998; a brother, Earl Rothwell; and sisters , Ellen Leet, Edna Hall, Catherine Broker, and Elsie Luke. Survived by a son, William S. Rothwell of Irwin; a sister, Jean Tucker of Monroeville; four grandchildren, Susan Koury and husband, George, of North Huntingdon, Timothy Rothwell and wife, Traci, of North Huntingdon, Dann Rothwell and wife, Renee, of Hempfield Township, and David Rothwell of Irwin; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the VINCENT V. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Irwin. The Rev. Frank M. Sherman will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park. Masonic services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m.

VIOLA M. (FABRYCKI) SPRINGER

Viola M. (Fabrycki) Springer, 57, of Uniontown, died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at Beverly Health Care, Uniontown, after a brief courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 6, 1942, in Martin, the daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Sophie L. (Dudkiewicz) Fabrycki. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Fabrycki Jr.; and a sister, Antoinette M. Plourde, on March 25, 2000. She was manager of One-Hour Martinizing in Uniontown until her illness. She truly loved her work, and was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband and childhood sweetheart, Holbert J. Springer Sr.; her children, Holbert J. Springer Jr. and wife, Rena, of Uniontown, Holly D'Amico and husband, Matthew, of Greensburg, and her baby, Jamie Kuritz and husband, Daniel, of Uniontown; four grandchildren, Jason, Justin, Alyssa and Matthew; brothers and sisters , Loretta McManmon of Boise, Idaho, Theodore Fabrycki of Amston, Conn., John Fabrycki of Uniontown, Richard Fabrycki of Allison #2, Sylvia Burnsworth of Allison #2, Stanley Fabrycki of Hartford, Conn., and Walter Fabrycki of Hartford, Conn. Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS Cemetery, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Extension, Uniontown, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 10:30 a.m. when a blessing service will be held with the Rev. Father William J. Kiel officiating. Interment will be private in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.

CLARA W. BRIDGE

Clara W. Bridge, 85, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1914, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Ernest and Wilhelmina Renner Guter. She was a retired switchboard operator at St. Vincent College. She was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic daughters of America, and the Holy Family Rosary Altar Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers , Joseph, Ernest and Richard Guter. She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Bridge; two sons , Maurice E. Bridge and his wife, Louise, of South Windsor, Conn., and Dennis C. Bridge of Frederick, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Anita) Pohland of Latrobe; six grandchildren, Deanna, Jared, Laura, David, Michael and Suzanne; and two brothers , Paul Guter of Latrobe and Robert Guter of Ligonier. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in Holy Family R.C. Church. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. The Holy Family Rosary Altar Society will recite the rosary Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Christ the Divine Teacher School or Holy Family R.C. Church.

JOSEPH BRUNETTI

Joseph Brunetti, of Broughton-South Park Township, on Tuesday, May 2, 2000. Beloved husband of the late Sophie "Sid" Brunetti. Father of Etta Lou Schenzinger of California and Stanley J. Stankiwicz of Mt. Washington . Grandfather of Melinda Potts, Marlena Stankiwicz, and Dariusz "Derek" Stankiwicz. Brother of Alice Bruno of Arizona and the late John Brunetti, Lou Brunetti, William Brunetti, Daisy Androlli and Albert Brunetti. Friends received Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the GRIFFITH MORTUARY INC., 5636 Brownsville Road, Broughton-Curry-South Park Township. PHILIP J. DEIVERNOIS JR. III

Philip J. Deivernois Jr. III, of Monroeville, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at the VA Medical Center, Aspinwall. He was a graduate of the Carnegie Institute of Technology. Mr. Deivernois retired from the Union Switch and Signal Division of Westinghouse Airbrake Co. He was a licensed electrical engineer and worked on railroad yard safety, braking and classification systems. Also he was retired as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. He served in Luzon, Philippines, during World War II. Mr. Deivernois was a member of the Monroeville Republican Committee, the Monroeville Library Board, and Senior Member of the I.E.E.E. Also a member of the Reserve Officers Association and a member of Rosecrest Lutheran Church in Monroeville. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Lenigan); the following children, Philip IV of Annville, Pa., Renee LeMay of Maryland, W. Peter of Wexford, and Douglas X. of Fleetwood, Pa.; brother of Jeanne Holleran of Wexford, Robert of Aliquippa, and Bud of East Palm Beach, Fla. Also seven grandchildren. Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, where a memorial visitation will take place. Burial will take place at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimer's Association of Pittsburgh, 5168 Campbells Run Road.

SEIBERT D. FRY

Seibert D. "Bub" Fry, 64, of Export, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000. He was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Monroeville, a son of the late Seibert and Mary Davis Fry. Also preceded in death by his first wife, Lenora McCurdy Fry; and a sister, Eleanor Fry. Mr. Fry was a former employee of McKinney Drilling, and was retired from Douglas Pyle. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 66. Also he was a member of St. Mary Church, the Italian American Club and the Polish Club, all of Export. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bub is survived by his wife, Mary Shero Fry; a son, Arthur Paul Fry and his wife, Tammy, of North Huntingdon; three daughters , Mrs. Ronald (Rebecca) Painter of North Huntingdon, Candy Fry and companion, Jim Johnson, of Wendel and Mrs. Gary (Lorie) Smith of North Huntingdon; four stepchildren, Mrs. Victor (Kathie) Katkowski, Albert Kemerer and wife, Debbie, Richard Kemerer and wife, Sandy, and Robert Kemerer, all of Export; a sister, Gwen Slater of the state of California; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the EDWIN N. WOLFE FUNERAL HOME INC., Export, Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Export, with Father Dismas Young as celebrant. Interment in Union Cemetery, Irwin.

HARRY L. GOWER

Harry L. Gower, 72, of Luxor, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Luxor, a son of the late Clarence and Elva Hainan Gower. He was retired from Kennametal Inc. He was a member of the Hannastown Social Club and the Old Crabtree Sportsmen's Association. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers , Wayne, Robert and Thomas Gower. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hriczik Gower; a son, Larry Gower and wife, Donna, of Greensburg RD12; a daughter, Lynn Nair of Ligonier; two grandchildren, Lori and Sherri; two brothers , Paul Gower and wife, Mildred, of Westpoint and Francis Gower of Luxor; and several nieces and nephews. WILLIAM J. MEILINGER

William J. Meilinger, 73, of Penn Hills, on Monday, May 1, 2000. Beloved husband of Marion; loving Father of Debbie (Howard) Weigold, Sandy (Stan) Kulig and Terri Meilinger; proud pap pap of Bobby Shelton and Andrew Weigold; brother of Ruth (Jim) Cunningham and the late Edna Mae (Joe) Menn and Louise Meilinger. Son of the late William and Mary Edna Meilinger. Also survived by nieces, Louise (Al) Schirano and Pam (Mario) Fratangelo; and nephews, Bill Cunningham and Bjorn Fratangelo. ANDREW J. NEWILL

Andrew J. Newill, 89, of Mt. Pleasant RD5, died at the home of his sister, Helen R. Beal, in Kecksburg, Monday, May 1, 2000. He was born March 21, 1911, in Kecksburg, a son of the late Earl C. Newill and Edith Stairs Newill Harman. He was the oldest member of the Kecksburg Church of God, where he was a life elder, council member, council president and Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the Westmoreland Botanical Society. He and his late wife owned and operated the Kecksburg Grocery Store for 29 years and he was retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Lucy Bielski Newill; an infant son; his wife of 56 years, Marie Workman Newill, on Sept. 1, 1999; and his granddaughter, Karla Karl, on April 19, 1996. He is survived by three children, Myrna Armbrust and her husband, James, of Irwin, Ruth Ann "Dolly" Queer and her husband, Paul, William C. Newill and his wife, Debra, all of Kecksburg; seven grandchildren, Dan, Dwight and Douglas Armbrust, Jeffrey and James Queer, Karen and David Newill; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters , Helen R. Beal of Kecksburg and Mrs. Ralph (Jean) Porch of Bella Vista, Ark.; five sisters -in-law, Ruth Sanner, Patricia Phillips and Betty Workman, all of Carmichaels, Virginia Lint of Norristown, and Jane Kovacina of Kecksburg. Friends will be received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with the former pastor of the Kecksburg Church of God and superintendent of the Western Pennsylvania Conference, Pastor Glenn Beatty, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Joy Cemetery. Sandra L. Hoffer, funeral director.

THOMAS N. PAGE

Thomas N. Page, 61, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1939, in Turtle Creek, a son of the late John and Goldie Walters Page. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Western Westmoreland Municipal Authority as a utility worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers , Calvin and Ronald Page. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Shultz Page; two sons , Jeffrey N. and John T. Page, both of North Huntingdon; a daughter, Jennifer Klingensmith of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Molly, Mallory and Rory; and a sister, Della Smith of New Brighton. Friends will be received at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville.

MARGARET E. SEUBERT

Margaret E. Seubert, 84, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in the Loyalhanna Care Center, Derry Township. She was born Dec. 13, 1915, in Derry, the daughter of the late James E. and Mary C. Smith Singer. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Latrobe, and its Rosary Altar Society. She was retired from Latrobe Steel Company. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Seubert; and a brother, Kenneth J. Singer. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Unity Township.

LILLIAN BARBERI VIRONE

Lillian Barberi Virone, 79, of Jeannette, died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born June 1, 1920, in Beaverdale, a daughter of the late Carmen and Fannie Baralote Barberi. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Jeannette, and its Women's Missionary Council. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Virone Sr., in 1976; and four sisters , Sara Gonzales, Josephine Bianco, Angeline Strayer and Carmella Hewitt. She is survived by six daughters , Caroline Barrett and her husband, Lee, of Arizona, Eleanor Stoves and her husband, Roy, of Irwin, Cecelia Kasparek and her husband, Dale, of Greensburg, Rosemarie Olecki and her husband, Thomas, of California, Nina Virone and Virginia Virone, both of Pittsburgh; a son, John J. Virone Jr. (with whom she resided); a sister, Rose Catalano of Jeannette; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, beginning Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday in the funeral home at a time to be announced with the Rev. Martin R. Koss officiating. Interment will follow in the Jeannette Memorial Park, Penn Township.

GEORGE CURRYER WEBER

George Curryer Weber, on Sunday, April 30, 2000, at his residence in Wexford. Age 76. Beloved husband of Caroline Gier Weber and the late Frances Wright Weber. Father of Dee Weber of Northampton, Mass., Ruth Weber and her husband, David Heyrend, of Denver, Colo., and Jean Weber and her husband, George Kulakowski, of Punxsutawney; stepfather of Janet White and her husband, Isaiah, of San Jose, Calif., Eric Gier and his wife, Lynnete, of Carpinteria, Calif., and the late Karl R. Gier. Grandfather of George Karl Kulakowski and Christopher David Kulakowski; stepgrandfather of Corey White , Kayla White , Bryn Gier, Natalie Gier, and Joshua Morton. Brother of the late John Weber; also survived by his sisters -in-law, Jean Potter, Ellie Wright and Betty Weber; and two nieces and two nephews. Mr. Weber was in born Tampico, Mexico, on Aug. 13, 1923. He was a World War II veteran and a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed as a project engineer and consultant in the United States, Columbia, and Turkey, retiring in 1984. Mr. Weber's passions in life were his family and its history; bridge which he both taught and relished plain; the study of the English language; a large collection of humor; mathematics and all its wonder, and woodworking. He was an aficionado of the great Gilbert and Sullivan and collected and enjoyed their works for most of his life. An avid correspondent, bookbinder, chess player, art lover, photographer, he was viewed as a true Renaissance man. A memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills Sunday, May 7, at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Memorial Fund or the Memorial Garden Fund, both of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the North Hills, 2359 W. Ingomar Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements by H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME INC., Perrysville.
