Vera Cordelia Shreeve
A memorial service for Vera Cordelia Shreeve will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004, at Joy Christian Fellowship 2715 Table Rock Road, Medford. Pastor Steve Schmelzer will officate.
Mrs. Shreeve 93 of Medford died April 18, 2004 at Rogue valley Medical Center.
She was born in Council, Idaho on January 22, 1911 to DeLafayette and Mary Elizabeth (Beem) Davis. They lived and traveled by covered wagon in Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and settled in Central Point, Oregon.
Mrs. Shreeve graduated from Central Point High School in 1928. She married
Harold (Hod) C. Shreeve in Vancouver, Washington on October 9, 1936. They lived in Portland until Hod was drafted in 1943. They moved back to Medford and she worked for Safeway and then at the United States National Bank. She retired in 1973.
She and her husband traveled and wintered in Phoenix, Arizona. She loved to garden and being with her family.
Vera is preceded in death by her beloved husband Hod, her parents De Lafayette & Mary Davis. Her sister Lola V. Boomer- Shores.
Suvivors include son, John "Jack" D shreeve of Medford; daughter and son-in-law Margo R. & David Jackson of Medford; grandsons, Eric S. Jackson, Marc & Amy Jackson, Dave & Dana Jackson. And five great-Grandchildren.

Wilmer D. Hasha
Wilmer D. Hasha, 86, died Friday, (April 23, 2004) in Medford. Services will be held at a later date.
He was born on Oct. 30, 1917 in Cass, Texas to Hubert L. and Annie E. (Johnson) Hasha.
Wilmer lived in the Rogue Valley for 65 years. He served his country in the United States Army.
Wilmer worked as a carpenter.
Survivors include, his children, Bill, Richard, Larry, Glenda, Grace, Jeff and Patty; sister, Annie; and brother Harvey of Eugene. He was preceded in death by both of his spouses.

Bibby Moore
Bibby Moore, 43, died Sunday, August 8, 2004 at Providence Medical Center, Medford.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycles and will always be remembered for the caring touch she had with the terminally ill patients she cared for. She will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her two children, Misty Menashe and her husband Ed; and her son Chance Moore of Portland, OR; her father Thomas Arlin White of Central Point; her step-mom Caroline May White of Central Point; four siblings, Arlene Smith, Heather White, Aaron White all of Cental Point, and Scott White of Medford; several cousins; two nieces; three nephews; a great-niece; and two great-nephews; and extended family and special friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Doris "Cookie" Thomas.
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 12, at 2 p.m. at the Spirit of Life Christian Center of Central Point.

Curtis Ray Phelan
Long time Rogue Valley resident, Curtis Ray Phelan, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on August 6, 2004, at his North Medford home, after battling years of heart disease. No services are planned.
He was born October 4, 1924 in Summers, Arkansas to Theodore and Lula Dell Phelan.
He served in the Army in WW II. When he was discharged, he attended OIT in Klamath Falls. In his early years, he worked in Ashland for Jim Bush Ford and Lithia Motors as a Body Shop Manager. In 1963, he started his own business in Ashland, known as North Main Body Shop. On July 26, 1969 he married
Sandra Pruitt, who has been by his side ever since. Later on, he started an independent trucking company and built and co-owned a Medford mini storage business. He retired in 1986. At this time, he and his wife moved to Brookings, Oregon to enjoy a much loved hobby of ocean fishing.
Other hobbies included hunting and working in his garden. He was a member of the Elks for over 35 years. In addition to his wife of 35 years, survivors include; his daughters, Berna Roper of Medford, Patti Allen of Springfield; a step-son Tony Pruitt of Medford; three granddaughters, Jackie Freeman of Central Point, and twins, Nichole Himmel of Eugene, and Tara West of South Dakota; a grandson, McKenzie Allen of Springfield; two brothers, JL Phelan of Seaside, OR, and Eugene Phelan of St. Helens, OR; two sisters, Aleta Phelan of Canby OR, and Norma Gilman of Colverdale, OR. Preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers, Voice Phelan, Forrest Phelan, James Phelan, Hubert Phelan, Hartsel Phelan. One sister, Doris Bunnell.
Everett R. Christian
Everett R. Christian, age 86, died on August 7, 2004 in Medford.
Everett was born on November 17, 1917, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, to Verne M. and Annie (Redeborg) Christian. He was the oldest of 18 children.
Everett married
Lorraine Vivian Wise on March 3, 1939, in Hoquiam, Washington. On May 21, 2004 his beloved wife of 64 years, preceded him in death. Everett and Lorraine are now together, never to be separated again.
He served in the United States Army, during World War II, he was stationed in Okinawa. He was in the "Class of '47, " honorable discharge.
Everett was an inventor and patent holder of the "Christian Veneer Dryer." Named Baron Von Dryer by the Southern Oregon Timber Industry Association (SOTIA). Everett was a superintendent of Carolina Pacific Plywood and Medply. He was a board of directors of both companies.
He was self-educated, Everett loved to read and talk politics. He was a lifelong democrat, he considered FDR to be the salvation of the United States. He loved philosophy and conversation about it. Most of all he loved his family, his friends and neighbors.
Everett was compassionate, kind and generous. He was a master mechanic, could build whatever he visualized. He loved westerns in books, movies and TV. His lifelong studies and interests were involved in history, and in particular, United States history. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, loved going to local lakes, and enjoyed barbecuing.
Survivors include: Children: Mike Everett Christian, Sherril Kellar, Frances, Kaye Bonecena, Mark Randall Christian; and seven grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Rosetta Senior Living Home. The care and attention that was given to both of their parents, will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2004 at 1 p.m. at the Perl Funeral Home, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford. Interment will be in the Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford.
Frank B. Anstine
Frank B. Anstine, 83, of Central Point, died Mon., Aug. 9, 2004 at his home.
He was born Feb. 19, 1921 in Kansas City, MO.
Frank served in the US Navy and was active in construction and millwork in California and Oregon.
Survivors include his wife, Sondra; son, Mitchell; grandchildren, Aaron, Evan and Talia.
Frank was a member of the First Baptist Church and served as a Gideon.
He will be greatly missed.

Irby W. Barfield
Irby W. Barfield, age 78, died August 6, 2004 in Medford, OR.
He was born on May 15, 1926, in Kershaw, North Carolina, to John and Agnes (Williams) Barfield. He married
Dorothy Long in 1946 in Portland, Oregon. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1964.
Irby was a WWII veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He retired from Cummins Diesel after 40 years of service.
Irby enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and golf.
He is survived by his long time companion Rosemary Erikson; children, Ron (Annette) Barfield, Cheri (Kenneth) Carr, Debbie (Sam) Gemaehlich; sister, Delores Brown; brothers, David Barfield, and Steven Barfield; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy Long and a brother: J.H. Barfield.

James C. Martin
The memorial service for James C. Martin will be at Hillcrest Chapel, Sat., August 14, 2004 at 10 a.m. Pastor Dale Meador of Bear Creek Church will officiate.
Mr. Martin, 66, of Medford, died Friday, August 6, 2004 at Providence Medford Medical Center.

James C. Martin was born on June 30, 1938 to William and Viola Martin.
Mr. Martin is a 1955 graduate of Prospect High School. He played high school football.
Mr. Martin married
Shirley Harbin on December 8, 1956 in Medford. He worked as a Steel Fabricator for Medford Steel for 43 years. He retired 5 years on ago on June 4th.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodcarving, taxidermy, Sunday football and all outdoor recreation.
Survivors include, his wife, Shirley Martin of Eagle Point; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Susan Martin of Talent; a sister, Helen Szilagyi of White City; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Joe D. Ingram, Jr.
A memorial service for Joe David Ingram, Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at the Eagle Point National cemetery. Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National cemetery.
Mr. Ingram Jr. died Aug 3, 2004, in Medford from complications related to diabetes. He was 81.
He was born on Dec. 26, 1922 in Seattle, WA to Joe D. Ingram Sr. and Pauline Elizabeth Coad. He married
Madelon M, Mathey on Oct 20, 1944, in Dubuque, Iowa. They had four children and divorced in 1973. He married
Mary L. Elbert on Jan. 21.1974, in Reno, NV.
He attended Eugene High School and graduated from Grant High School in Portland in 1940. In July of 1940 he joined the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was called to active duty in April 1941 in San Diego. He served during World War II as Signalman First Class, aboard the U.S.S. Kershaw, and was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska, and in the South Pacific. He was discharged from the Navy in Oct. 1945.
He graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1950. His professional career spanned more than 40 years in diversified sales and management positions in commercial printing, outdoor display and print media advertising, and timber harvesting at the factory level in Portland, Eugene, and Roseburg.
In 1970, Mr. Ingram changed careers to pursue his true passion as a jazz musician, playing trumpet and vibes in the traditional New Orleans and Chicago styles of Dixieland jazz. He moved to Monterey, CA, where he spent close to 30 years playing professional jazz. He founded the Monterey Hot Jazz Society and later the Monterey Dixieland Jazz Festival, both still active today.
He was also an avid Duck fan and loved spending time with his family on the Oregon coast, and in the mountains.
Survivors include his wife Mary; two sons. Joe D. Ingram III of Eugene, and Fred C. Ingram of Portland; two daughters, Reba J. Francis of Coos Bay and Molly M. Trudeau of Eugene; two stepdaughters, Sheree Garcia of Pacific Grove, CA, and Andrea Morrison of Viroqua, WI; and stepsons, Alan Elbert of Cashton, WI, and Timothy Elbert of Viroqua, WI; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren,
Marvin W. Wright
Marvin W. Wright, 70, of Prospect, died July 23, 2004, A memorial service will be held at Eagle Point National VA cemetery, at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13.
Mr. Wright was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Leo Wright.
Family and friends are invited to a potluck at the home of, Fran and Larry Bean, 2580 Millcreek Dr., Prospect. Bring lawn chairs.

Randall 'Randy' D. Cavin
Randall "Randy" D. Cavin of Las Vegas, (formerly of Central Point) died Friday (Aug. 6, 2004). He was born on Dec. 1, 1946 in Klamath Falls. The family moved to Malin, OR and then to Central Point in 1957.
He attended Central Point Elementary, and graduated from Crater High in 1965. He worked in the computer industry and lived in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Kyoung Ja (KC) Cavin; and daughter, Christina Cavin of Las Vegas; a son Benjamin, who is in the Navy; his mother, Faye Smith; brother, Donald Cavin; and sister Amy (Chery) Akins of Central Point. He was preceded in death by his father Earl L. Cavin, and brother Dennis L. Cavin.
Sue Ann Starr
Sue Ann Starr, 73, of Central Point, died Sunday, August 8, 2004, at her home. In the spirit of celebrating her life instead of mourning death, she requested no services to be held.
She was born on October 2, 1930 in Allentown, PA to Charles and Helen Zwick who preceded her in passing. She grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Bartrom High School in 1948. On March 31, 1978, she married
Larry Starr in Las Vegas, NV. In January 1982, she moved from Anaheim, CA., to Rogue River, OR. There they established Evans Creek Farm and grew vegetables for a living, for ten years.Upon retirement she moved to Central Point & enjoyed a less complicated life.
She was an avid golfer and away from that, fishing & video poker were among her favorite activities.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Stephen, Michael, Scott, & Charles; and a daughter, Linda; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Many thanks to friends and family and the staff at Providence Hospice Center for their support. Also, to Providence Oncology Associates who extended her life for almost two years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to; the American Cancer Society.
William H. Kusel
William Howard "Willy" Kusel, 53, of Medford, died Sunday, August 8, 2004 near Agate Lake as a result of an automobile injury.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 13 at Logtown cemetery, Ruch. Following will be a reception.
William was born July 2, 1951 in Ashland to Howard and Theresa (Hill) Kusel. He attended Medford Schools. He served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a logger in Oregon and Alaska. He drove CAT for Hilton.
William loved his family and friends, his dog, Brandy, fishing, hunting, and Nascar.
Survivors include: his daughters, Mellisa and Megan; mother, Theresa Kusel; brothers, John and Mike Kusel; sister, Karen Kusel; and nephew, Matthew Kusel. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard, and brothers, Jerry and David Kusel.
Arrangements are being handled by Conger-Morris Funeral Directors of Medford.
