Doris Myra Foster
The memorial service for Doris Myra Foster will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home. Rev. Gary S. Foster, her son, will officiate. Private inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Grants Pass.

Doris Myra Foster, 86, of Ashland, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003 at Skylark Assisted Living, Ashland.
Doris Myra Foster was born Dec. 13, 1916 at Courtland, Calif. to Clarence L. Runyon and the former Aveline Bohman. She came to Ashland in 1992 after living in Rogue River, Ore. for 12 years.
She was a member of the Grants Pass Four Square Church where she was Director of Senior Activities. In Ashland, she was a member of the Christian Center and active in their senior programs until her health prohibited. The past five years, she has lived at Skylark Assisted Living. She enjoyed growing violets and roses, embroidery, doll making and traveling.
Survivors include her son, Gary S. Foster of Gold Hill, Ore.; daughters, Carol L. Tillery of Klamath Falls, Ore. and Joan L. Scott of Grass Valley, Calif.; sister, Lucille A. Runyon of Sacramento, Calif.; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.

Everett Henry McGee
The graveside service for Everett H. McGee will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003 at Mountain View Cemetery in Ashland. Pastor Jim Larsen of the Christian Church of Ashland will officiate. A light lunch and sharing time will be at noon at the Christian Church of Ashland, corner of Second and B Streets. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Church of Ashland.
Mr. McGee, 93, of Ashland, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002 at Linda Vista Care Center, Ashland.
He was born July 27, 1909 in Ashland to James H. McGee and the former Olive Wing, and lived here throughout his lifetime. He married Donzella Neill on June 20, 1931 in Ashland. She preceded him in death on Oct. 25, 1995.
Mr. McGee became a grocer after operating the Lake of the Woods Store one summer, and purchased the East Side Grocery on the corner of Iowa and Morse Streets in Ashland. In 1942, he built the Market Basket building on the corner of Siskiyou Boulevard and Beach Street, and with his brother-in-law, Dick Neill, operated that store for several years. In the early 1950s, he purchased the Fridegar Building located just below the Old Ashland Armory between Pioneer and Oak Street and with Dick Neill operated that store until his retirement.
In 1931, Mr. McGee became a Christian and was baptized in the old Christian Church. In 1936, Everett and Donzella entered the Northwest Christian College in Eugene and graduated in 1940. In 1942, he became minister of the Phoenix, Ore. Church of Christ and ministered there for 10 years. Mr. McGee was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers, Raymond and Vernon.
Those who wish may pay their respects from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home.

Iris Christel Tyner
The memorial service for Iris Christel Tyner will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003 at First Church of the Nazarene, 1974 E. McAndrews Rd., Medford. Joe McManhan, director of pastoral care, Asante, will officiate. Private inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Iris Christel Tyner, 62, of Ashland, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002 at her home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1940 in Berlin, Germany. She worked as a phlebotomist at a military hospital in Germany before coming to the United States in 1965. She attained her U.S. citizenship and continued her health care education, becoming a certified nurses assistant, licensed practical nurse and following graduation from SOSC in Ashland in 1978, a registered nurse. She began her career at Rogue Valley Medical Center in 1979, where she eventually became director of patient services. Her current position was that of critical care unit manager.
On Dec. 31, 1965 in Albany, Ga., she married W. T. (Wayne) Tyner, whom she had met in Germany. They moved to Ashland in 1970 and built a home on the Greensprings, where they moved in 1971.
Survivors include three daughters, Corina Noah of Frederick, Md.; Patricia Gutschmidt of Jamestown, N.D.; and Pamela Taylor of Frederick, Md.; one brother, Peter Friedrichs of Schwedt, Germany; one sister, Sylvia Hoffman of Frankfurt, Germany; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild. Her husband, Wayne, preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 2000.

Caroline Marie Langlois

Caroline Marie Langlois, 88, of Ashland, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003 at Skylark Assisted Living, Ashland.
Mrs. Langlois was born to Louis and Anna (Wagner) Schweikl, May 19, 1914 in Park Falls, Wisc. In 1931, she married Leo Langlois in Park Falls. They lived in Milwaukee, Wisc. and moved to Ashland in 1946. Mr. and Mrs. Langlois were owners of the Emigrant Lake Cafe for seven years before it was moved to make way for the Emigrant Lake recreation area.
Mrs. Langlois was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church and was past president of the Ashland Senior Club.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tony DeMartini of Ashland; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Leo, preceded her in death in 1988; three brothers also preceded her.
