Delia Mary Hoskins
Delia Mary Hoskins, 63, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (Dec. 26, 2002) at her home. No service is planned. Interment will be at Eagle Point National cemetery.
She was born May 26, 1939, in New York. On May 26, 1969, in South Gate, Calif., she married
John H. Hoskins, who survives. They moved to the Grants Pass community 20 years ago from South Gate, Calif.
Mrs. Hoskins was a homemaker.
She enjoyed camping, bingo, her family and friends.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, John E., Grants Pass; a daughter, Roberta Glazier, Grants Pass; a brother, Edward J. Fiegl Jr., Getzville, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Fiegl.

Frances Marie McTaggart
Frances Marie McTaggart, 85, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday (Dec. 4, 2002) at Three Fountains Nursing Center in Medford. A private service was held. Inurnment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford.
She was born March 14, 1917, in Milwaukee, to Frank and Connie Perez. On Sept. 14, 1940, in Milwaukee, she married
William J. McTaggart, who died in 1990. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1968 from San Diego.
Mrs. McTaggart was a Realtor for 40 years, retiring in 1975.
She enjoyed art and alternative health.
Survivors include a son, Bill, Jacksonville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Gilbert Neal Debusk
The funeral for Gilbert Neal Debusk will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Chapel in Medford. Bonnie Sikes and June McDonald of Grants Pass will officiate. Interment will be in the Garden of Honor at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
Mr. Debusk, 82, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday (Dec. 17, 2002) at Royale Gardens Nursing Home in Grants Pass.
He was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Mesa, Ariz., to Charley and Birdie (Boersma) Debusk. He attended schools in Phoenix, Ore., and later joined the Civilian Conservation Corps. He lived in Phoenix from 1927 until he moved to Butte Falls. He moved to Grants Pass in 1993.
Mr. Debusk was a logger. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the town of Butte Falls.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1937 to 1942.
Mr. Debusk enjoyed fishing, picking berries, hiking and woodworking.
Survivors include two sisters, Emmiline Jossi, Hillsboro, and Edna Mae Pieren, Grants Pass. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Bone and Elsie Johnson.
Friends may pay their respects from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, Medford.
Paul B. Caldwell
Paul B. Caldwell, 80, of McMinnville, formerly of Medford, died Tuesday (Dec. 17, 2002). The memorial service was held Thursday at Osprey Point Assisted Living Center in McMinnville.

He was born April 1, 1922, in Clarksville, Ark., to John and Ruby Caldwell. The family moved to Klamath Falls when he was a young child, and he graduated from Klamath Union High School. On Dec. 28, 1946, in Philadelphia, he married
Rita Smith, who survives.
Mr. Caldwell was a firefighter for the city of Klamath Falls, then for the government, working at Adair Air Force Station in Corvallis and Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls. He retired in the late 1970s. He moved in 1987 to Medford, where he lived until February of this year when he moved to McMinnville.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and survived Pearl Harbor.
Mr. Caldwell was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.
He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses and strawberries.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Bruce, McMinnville, and Jim, Stayton; four daughters, Joyce Brittain, Medford, Marion Gunnels, Mukilteo, Wash., Diane Osterberg, Jackson, Minn., and Carol McCullough, Klamath Falls; a brother, Robert, Beaverton; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Vola Mae Sires
A funeral service for Vola Mae Sires will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, at Memory Gardens Chapel. Pastor Jim Larsen of Christian Church of Ashland will officiate. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Sires, 73, of Medford died Tuesday ( Dec. 17, 2002) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born on Oct. 3, 1929, in Alva, Okla., a daughter of Charles & Bertha Galloway. In 1950 in Yakima, Wash., she married
Robert William Sires, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1995 from Beaverton.
Mrs. Sires was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, survivors include three daughters, Julie Benston, Central Point; Pam Hackett, Beaverton; Cindy Heiner, West Jordan, Utah; a brother, Bill D. Galloway, Sun River; a sister, Joan Rogers, Moses Lake, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Memory Gardens Chapel.
Walter W. Bradley
A memorial service for Walter W. Bradley will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2002, at Williams Seventh-day Adventist Church in Williams. Pastor Bob Heisler will officiate.
Mr. Bradley, 82, of Applegate, died Saturday (Dec. 14, 2002), at Three Fountains Nursing Center, Medford. Private interment will be in Sonora, Calif.
He was born Dec. 17, 1919, in Glendale, Calif. In 1943, he married
Ruth, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 1, 1994, he married
Iris, who survives. They moved to the Applegate Valley in 1998 from Woodburn.
Mr. Bradley served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the Williams Seventh-day Adventist Church in Williams.
Mr. Bradley enjoyed doing carpentry work and riding his bicycle.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Walter, of Ranch Cordova, Calif.; a daughter, Karen Wallace, of Reno; three stepsons, Richard Donaldson, and Dale Sifford, both of Portland, and Dan Donaldson of Ontario; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Bradley.

Julia Crawford
Julia Crawford, 87, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 17, 2002) at Three Fountains Nursing Center. No service is planned.
She was born Oct. 19, 1915, in Superior, Wis., a daughter of Frank and Frances Ostrowski. On July 9, 1973, in Bessemer, Mich., she married
Francis Crawford, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1977 from Minnesota.
Mrs. Crawford was active with the Senior Center and the Women’s VFW Auxiliary, Crater Lake Council, for 57 years. She was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Rebekahs and the Sojourners Club. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, and crafts.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Edwin Sanders, of Medford; two sisters Caroline Meyer of Manitowoc, Wis., and Angeline Fudally of Superior, Wis.; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Jessie Margaret Gruber
A graveside service for Jessie Margaret Gruber will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Scenic Hills Memorial Park.
Mrs. Gruber, 82, of Tacoma, Wash., formerly of Ashland, died Wednesday (Dec. 18, 2002) in Tacoma.

She was born on Feb. 21, 1920, in Alberta, Canada. On Sept. 20, 1944, in Brisbane, Australia, she married
Jack Howard Gruber, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gruber, along with her husband, owned and operated Gruber’s Shoe Service in Ashland from 1953 until their retirement in 1976. She moved to Yakima, Wash., in 1990 and to Tacoma, where she lived for 10 years.
She enjoyed golfing and camping.
Survivors include three sons, Jack H. of Seattle; Robert, of Spokane, Wash., and Richard of Portland; a sister, Nellie Benedetti, of Yakima, Wash., and four grandchildren.

Walter ‘Mac’ MacLeod Jr.
A memorial service for Walter "Mac" Macleod Jr., will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, 305 S.W. H Street in Grants Pass.
Mr. MacLeod Jr., 79, of Grants Pass, died Saturday (Dec. 14, 2002) at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

He was born on Aug. 1, 1923, in Los Angeles, a son of Walter Ross MacLeod Sr., and Susan Bell Kindervaupper MacLeod. On July 3, 1991, in Grants Pass, he married
Anne Jonas, who survives.
Mr. MacLeod served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Monahan, the USS Sargo, the USS Salmon and the USS Holland. He continued in the reserves until his retirement.
He worked as a truck driver, sewing machine salesman and repairman, banker and quality engineer at Litton, where he retired.
Mr. MacLeod was a member of the Elks for 25 years.
He enjoyed golf, sailing, gardening, and playing music.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a brother, David; two sisters, Rosemary MacLeod, and Beth Young, all of California. He was preceded in death by a sister, Polly MacLeod and a brother Daniel.

Charles A. Silvers
The memorial service for Charles A. Silvers will be at 1 p.m. today at Foursquare Church, 450 S.W. J. St., Grants Pass.
Mr. Silvers, 38, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday (Nov. 6, 2002) at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Grants Pass.
He was born Dec. 3, 1963, in Calhoun, Ga. He moved to Grants Pass in 1987 from Calhoun.
Mr. Silvers was a roofer with Wright Roofing Company in Grants Pass.
He enjoyed rafting, traveling, painting and drawing.
Survivors include his fiancee, Trini Harris, Grants Pass; his former wife, Frankie Silvers, Grants Pass; two sons, Michael Rehwald and Timothy Silvers, both Grants Pass; a daughter, Cherrish Silvers, Grants Pass; and one grandchild.

Muriel Jean Elizabeth McNeil
The funeral for Muriel Jean Elizabeth McNeil will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens Mortuary Chapel in Medford. Pastor V. Lee Gregory of Medford Neighborhood Church will officiate. Private entombment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. McNeil, 84, of Medford, died Sunday (Nov. 10, 2002) at Hearthstone in Medford.
She was born Muriel Poole on Nov. 23, 1917, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. On March 9, 1942, in Vancouver, Wash., she married
Robert John McNeil, who died in 1980. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1953 from Portland.
Mrs. McNeil was a secretary for the Jackson County District Attorney’s office for 28 years until her retirement.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, doing artwork and playing cards.
Survivors include two sons, Gary R., Medford, and Douglas L., North Adams, Mass.; a daughter, Maureen Parra, Portland; a sister, Edna Fraser, Victoria, B.C., Canada; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Ralph Leonard Weide
The funeral for Ralph Leonard Weide will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Chapel in Medford. The Rev. Scott Purrier will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
Mr. Weide, 87, of Rogue River, died Friday (Nov. 8, 2002) at a Central Point foster-care facility.
He was born Feb. 26, 1915, in Medford, to John Lewis and Carrie (Neathammer) Weide. On Dec. 20, 1948, in Reno, Nev., he married
Betty J. Boulter, who died in 1986.
Mr. Weide was a logger in his younger years and later owned and operated an automobile repair business. He also drove a school bus part time. He was a lifelong Rogue Valley resident.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Weide was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Richard, Eagle Point; a daughter, Connie Liles, Eagle Point; a sister, Mary Sutton, San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
