Underhill
Blanche L. Underhill, 79, of Gervais died Oct. 27.
Born Oct. 7, 1922, in McClave, Colo., she was a homemaker. She worked at Conroys packaging as a fruit sorter and worked at Tektronics in Wilsonville for 10 years as an assembler. She lived in Woodburn from 1962 to 1965 before moving to Scio. She moved to Gervais in 1973.
Her interests were included quilting, sewing and canning.
She married
Hugh Underhill Jan 18, 1941, in Fallon, Nev; he died in 1985.
Survivors include her son, Larry Underhill of Woodburn; daughters, Carolyn "Kay" Rosenau of Albany, Linda Biggs of Walla Walla, Wash., Marlee Underhill of Salem and Rhonda McCullough of Brooks; son, Hugh "Kip" Underhill of St. Helens; brother, Ralph Bonds of Tacoma, Wash.; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Nov 1 in Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Woodburn. Interment was in Belle Passi cemetery, Woodburn.
Arrangements were by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
Ziegenbein
Florence E. Ziegenbein, 88, of Mount Angel, formerly of Woodburn, died Nov. 5, 2001.
Born March 20, 1913, in Hubbard, she was a homemaker. She also farmed berries and cucumbers, as well as worked sorting applies in Hood River for packing companies and Birds Eye in Woodburn. She moved to Woodburn in 1989, before moving to Mount Angel 1 1/2 years ago.
Her interests included gardening and flowers.
She married
Richard Ziegenbein June 7, 1948, in Vancouver, Wash.
Survivors include her husband; son, Gill Reser of Woodburn; brother, Harold Owings of Woodburn and Edward Owings of Hubbard; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 9 in Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Woodburn. Interment was in Zion Memorial cemetery, Canby.
Arrangements were by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
Contributions may be made to the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Kollman
Ruth Kollman, 65, of Woodburn died Nov. 8, 2001.
Born April 30, 1936, in Poland, she worked in real estate sales. She moved to the United States in 1960. She lived in Clackamas before moving to Woodburn five years ago.
She married
Ladislaus "Laddie" Kollman in 1954.
Survivors include her husband; son, Peter Kollman of Sherwood; brother, Gerard Schuster of Berlin; sister, Gabriel Hiele of Victoria, Canada; and two step-grandchildren.
Services were private.
Arrangements were by Simon-Woodburn Funeral Chapel.
Marie Buck
Marie L. Nelson Buck, of Wilsonville, died on June 18, 2004, at the age of 88.
Marie was born on October 5, 1915, in Lewistown, Mont., the eldest daughter of Norwegian immigrants Peter and Ella Nelson. She graduated from Portland’s Emanuel School of Nursing in 1937. The following year she married
Barney Buck, of Buck Ambulance. She was widowed in 1986.
Marie was a charter member of the Alameda Garden Club and the Alameda Dance Club. She was active in Girl Scouts, was a Junior Volunteer at both Providence and Emanuel Hospitals, and served as Assistant Volunteer Director at Emanuel. Marie was a 50-plus year member of Daughters of the Nile and the Multnomah Athletic Club.
In later years, Marie lived in Wilsonville and was involved in the organization of the Wilsonville Library, the Wilsonville Senior Center, and the Hope Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her last years at SpringRidge in Charbonneau.
Marie was accomplished in the Norwegian Art form of Rosemalling, and also enjoyed sewing and all forms of needlework.
She is survived by brothers Hash Nelson of Mesa, Ariz., and Paul Nelson of Lewistown, Mont.; daughters Cathie Gleeson of Wilsonville and Mary Ann Giottonini of Gold Beach; granddaughters Kristin Neumann of Corvallis, Marci Clow of Santa Cruz, Calif., Jodi Weisner of Bend and Caryn Merica of Gold Beach; grandson Carsten Gleeson of Aloha; and six great-grandchildren.
Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Wilsonville, is in care of the arrangements.
Rosemary Bushbaum
Rosemary Ann Pauly Bushbaum of Tualatin, died on Saturday June 12, 2004, at a Portland hospital, at the age of 75.
Rosemary was born in Portland on April 11, 1929 to Frederick J. and Adelaide B. Hellers Pauly. She attended Stafford Grade School and graduated from West Linn High School in 1947. After high school, she attended Marylhurst College.
Rosemary married
Joseph Bushbaum in Wilsonville on October 2, 1948. She chose to be a homemaker and raised their family. She was a member of St. Cyril Catholic Church, sang in the choir and was, for many years, the organist. She also sang in the Wilsonville Community Choir. Her hobbies included gardening, growing blueberries, cooking, sewing and crocheting. Over the years Rosemary crocheted baby blankets, hats, and booties for both local hospitals and mission programs.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Bushbaum of Tualatin; three sons, Ronald J. Bushbaum of Hillsboro, Paul T. Bushbaum of Sherwood, and John A. Bushbaum of Newberg; four daughters, Karen A. Herrenbruck of Moscow, Idaho, Joanne M. Holmes of Beaverton, Maryellen F. Clark of Salem, and Rosemarie A. Bushbaum of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Leonard Pauly of Wisconsin, and John Pauly of King City; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews and those who have come to know and appreciate her where she has lived and worked. One son, Joseph J. Bushbaum, preceded her in death in 1995.
A Recitation of the Rosary was held on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at St. Cyril Catholic Church. Her Funeral Mass was held Wednesday June 16, 2004 in St. Cyril Catholic Church with Father Dan Adams, celebrant. Vault interment followed at St. Anthony cemetery in Tigard.

Earl Clinton Freeman
May 21, 1914 - December 8, 2004
Earl Clinton Freeman, 90, of Lebanon died Dec. 8.
He was born in Silver Falls, Ore., to David and Sarah Freeman, the youngest of nine children. He served in the U.S. Navy on an aircraft carrier during World War II. He worked in the plywood industry for 28 years, retiring in the 1970s.
He enjoyed volunteer work, which he did at the Lebanon Senior Center, Aldersgate Conference Center and youth camps. He also enjoyed fishing and camping with family, friends and grandchildren. He loved music and loved to laugh. He was a member of the Lebanon Free Methodist Church.
His wife, Erma I. Stearns, whom he married
on July 31, 1945, survives.
Other survivors include his daughters, Fran McCraven, Erma Thompson and Ellen Rannings, all of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Lebanon Free Methodist Church. Graveside services were held at Lone Oak cemetery, Stayton. Arrangements: Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton.
Alice Widner
Alice Dorothy Widner, 78, a longtime resident of Canby, died Friday, Aug. 1, at an Oregon City hospital.
At her request no services will be held.
She was born on July 14, 1925, in Canby. She graduated from Canby Union High School in 1943.
She married
Harold A. Widner in 1945. She lived in Canby until 1956, and in Salem from 1956-90. From 1990 on, she lived in Canby. Her husband died in 1985.
Survivors include: son Charles A. Widner, Salem; daughter Dorothy Arata, Grants Pass; sisters Leona Sandsness, Canby and Mildred Freitas, Reedsport; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Willamette Falls Hospice.
Barbara Nordstrom
October 8, 1950 - January 25, 2005
Barbara Nordstrom, 54, of Stayton died Jan. 25.
She was born in El Paso County, Texas, to James Nordstrom and Patricia Jarvis Nordstrom. As a baby, she was admitted to Providence Child Care Nursery in Portland in January 1951, living there until her admittance to Fairview Training Center in Salem in 1953. She was transferred to Eastern Oregon Training Center in 1980 and back to Fairview in 1984. In 1999, she moved into foster care with Jim and Pat Kitzhaber, where she lived the past six years.
She had many medical issues during her life, but rarely let them slow her down.
She loved being close to her caregivers, giving long hugs and snuggling. She loved bouncing on her bed, rocking in a soft recliner and swinging on the porch. Her favorite activities included van rides, wheelchair walks and long soaks in the hot tub. She enjoyed going camping and spending time at the beach sitting in the grass and watching animals.
Survivors include her foster care parents, Pat and Jim Kitzhaber; housemates, Joanne Jackson and Kathleen Harris; health care representative, Rosie Miller; and friends and caregivers, Terissa Jossart, Sandy Boedigheimer, Narissa Wichersham, Elaine Wheaton, Betty Cooper and Cheryl Corner.
A celebration of life was held at Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton.
Florence Graville
Funeral services were held Oct. 5 at First Christian Church in Junction City for Florence Jean Graville, 81, of Wilsonville. She died Sept. 26, 2004 at home.
Mrs. Graville was born April 18, 1923 in Junction City, the second child of Larance and Martha Wood. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1941.
She worked as an elevator operator at Meier & Frank in downtown Portland, then returned to Junction City and worked as a waitress. She married
Windsor Graville on Oct. 12, 1947.
Mrs. Graville was a Wilsonville resident for the past eight years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended Rolling Hills Community Church, where she participated in a small group and volunteered in the church nursery.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995 and by her son Dick in 2001. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Donna and Dale Annis of Portland; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Iris Graville of Lopez Island, Wash.; daughter-in-law Cathy Graville of Caldwell, Idaho; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Interment was at Rest Lawn Memorial cemetery in Junction City. Remembrances are suggested in care of the Education Together Foundation, P.O. Box 523, Junction City, OR 97448. Cornwell Colonial Chapel of Wilsonville was in care of arrangements.
Edna J. Fahlgren
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006 for Edna J. Fahlgren of Wilsonville. She died Jan. 24, 2006 at a Tualatin hospital at the age of 82.
She was born Edna Hjort on Sept. 8, 1923 in Saco, Mont. to Axel and Signe Hjort. She graduated from Saco High School. She married
Erwin G. Fahlgren on March 9, 1956.
They moved to Klamath Falls in 1965. In 1985, they moved to Wilsonville and managed the Oak Leaf Mobile Home Park.
Mrs. Fahlgren enjoyed cooking and she was active at her church, cooking at church events. She also volunteered at the Wilsonville Senior Center. She was a charter member of the Community of Hope Church, and the Riverview Eastern Star in Hensdale, Mont. for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Fahlgren was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Shirley; daughter Yvonne Loberg; and grandson Todd Haskett.
She is survived by her husband, Erwin, at home; daughters Sylvia Haskett of Snohomish, Wash., Bonnie Tangen of Wilsonville and Leanne Bray of Wilsonville; son Greg Fahlgren of Wilsonville; brother Clarence Hjort of Orland, Wash.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Community of Hope Church. Canby Funeral Chapel was in care of arrangements.
