JED M. SEETO
Jed passed away November 28, 2015.
Loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
In addition to being the hardest working man whom was employed by Fall Creek Logging he also left us with this:
I have found my faith and peace in my family, friends and the Lord. I am thankful for glorious nature and the abundant wildlife that has enabled me to be the provider for my family. I am thankful for being able to teach my children the wisdom and respect of the pursuit and keeping humble the harvest. I have been granted a fish on the line of my casts on earth and now I am granted by his grace to peacefully land in the net of the Lord. Now that I have made my upstream journey to heaven my only request is my family and friends maintain their faith so that when their day comes that the same fishing net will be their path to heaven where we will all unite again with our Lord.
Jed is survived by: Kim Seeto, Brother, Jesse Seeto, Son, Guy Seeto, Son, Lilly Seeto, Daughter and many other loved family members.

THOMAS JEROME ALLEN
March 19, 1938 – May 6, 2016
There are people born into this world that are here to enlighten us. I believe that the most effective of these, are the ones that are unaware of the profoundly positive effect that they have on others. They simply ARE good. They simply ARE beautiful and loving. They show us an example of goodness that is incredibly compelling, while expecting nothing in return. They are steadfast beacons of light in this oftentimes dark world. This was our father. To be close to him was to feel and experience kindness, empathy and love. He was a quiet man. He was a searching man. He was a thinker and a dreamer with an artistic mind. Even through monumental pain and loss, he remained anchored in his belief that love was life’s purpose; and he was staggeringly good at it. It was his life’s work.
He was born on March 19, 1938, to Thomas Allen and Evelyn Jackson Allen in Portland, Oregon, followed by sisters Patty and Lynne. He was raised in Portland and graduated from Franklin High School. Shortly afterward he joined the National Guard and entered into college, preparing for a career in engineering. During this time he found interest in the religion of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Because of the profound way that these beliefs began affecting him, he made a huge and life-altering decision to become a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Belief in God and His goodness were paramount to our father’s life, as was his family. Alongside his wife Lila, he raised five children and two grandchildren and was always there for guidance and wisdom. He taught us to appreciate the wondrous beauty of our earth home and the awe-inspiring vastness of the universe with all of its mysteries. He was a gifted artist and his paintings and drawings reflected this appreciation. He talked of his childhood with fondness and spoke of early morning rides on his bicycle, watching the sunrise cast its glory onto the brisk and empty Portland streets.
He loved to hike and camp and felt the most peace when in the massive beauty of nature. He spent much time, in his youth, exploring the Cascade Mountains in Oregon and Washington. He talked of the clarity of the lakes and the intense coloring of the alpine flowers, of the immense waterfalls and epic glaciers. For him this was God’s artistic handiwork and he felt closest to Him in this environment. His belief was that God would restore the earth and allow those that followed Him, even after death, to inhabit its restored, never-ending wonders.
On May 6, 2016, at 11:20 p.m., Thomas Jerome Allen passed away. He was preceded in death by both parents, son Danny, sister Rosalee and first wife Cathy. He was surrounded by his loved ones. We held his hands and kissed him gently and told him how much we loved him. He left us peacefully but also with a large void that only he could fill.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Lila; daughter, Della; sons, Wayne, Ronald and Jeremy; sisters, Patty, Lynne and Virginia. Also, granddaughters that he lovingly helped raise, Heidi and Melissa; grandchildren, Ashlynn, Patricia, Darrin, Daniel, and grandson Daniel Thomas, due in early July. Also, great-grandchildren Taylor, Kyle, Sylvia, Remington, Paisleigh, Rileigh, Austin, Lakota.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3794 SE High School Drive, Lincoln City. John Hanna will be officiating. A reception will follow.
