Roger W. Schuck
December 8, 1931 - July 11, 2013
DALLAS - Roger Wayne Schuck, 81, went to be with his Lord Jesus in Heaven on July 11, 2013. He was born on December 8, 1931 in Paxinos, Pennsylvania to Wilfred and Elvera Schuck. He grew up in the country and graduated from Shamokin High School, Shamokin, Pennsylvania. He joined the Army in 1951 and was later a front line medic during the Korean War.
In 1957 he began attending Philadelphia College of the Bible where he met Rena Shell. They were married
in 1958 and celebrated their 55th anniversary earlier this year. They lived in Philadelphia while he worked and completed his degree. In 1966 they joined Village Missions and were sent to their first church in Unity, Oregon. They also served at churches in Ray, Indiana; Butte Falls, Oregon; Yale, Washington; Hammett, Idaho; and Hillside, Oregon. Roger retired in 1997 and he and Rena moved to Dallas, Oregon. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed gardening, as long as it was something you could eat, and telling people about Jesus.
Roger is survived by his wife, Rena of Dallas, Oregon; his son Jonathan (Tressa) Schuck, and daughters Christine (Carl) Schneider, Karen (Corey) Barnedt, and Teresa (Eric) Gjonnes; his sister Karen (Bob) Schanklweiler of Harrisburg, PA, his grandchildren Cherith and Makila Schuck, Matthew, Anna, Elizabeth, and Joseph Schneider, Kassandra, Forest, Brook Barnedt, and Reed and Annika Gjonnes; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Kenneth Schuck.
A memorial service will be held at Dallas Evangelical Bible Church at 11:00, Monday July 15th. Burial will be at Willamette National cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Village Missions, in care of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center who is caring for the family.
Willie “Charlotte” (Hill) Hardin
January 31, 1929 – October 8, 2012
DALLAS - Willie Charlotte (Hill) Hardin passed away on October 8, 2012. She was born to Jessie P. Gilmer and William J. Hill in Marland, Oklahoma January 31, 1929. Her elementary, junior high, and high school years were spent in Claremore, Oklahoma where she and her husband, Fred, grew up together. She and Freddie (Fred) Ray Hardin were together since fifth grade at Claremont Elementary School. They married
right out of high school on December 22, 1946, at Clarmore's First Baptist Church, L. C. Robins, Pastor, officiating and they were blissfully and happily married
65 years, 9 months, and 18 days.
Charlotte was an unusually gifted and caring person with an extraordinarily penetrating intellect. She loved her family unconditionally and was committed to her profession with selfless devotion and dedication, always concentrating on what she could do for others. She was a graduate of what used to be Oregon College of Education, now Western Oregon University, Monmouth, OR and Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, with a Bachelor's Degree in elementary school education and a Master's Degree in guidance and counseling. After teaching elementary school in Dallas, OR, four years, she became counselor at Judson Junior High, Salem, and, with three other counselors, was responsible for more than 1,300 junior high students.
After leaving education, she and her husband, Fred, became actively involved in marketing real estate, land development, and home construction from their office in West Salem. One summer from May to September, she, alone, organized and managed the construction of twelve homes in Salem Towne simultaneously, arranging for all her subs, ordering all materials, and paying all bills. Soon, real estate investment interests took Fred & Charlotte as far north as Alaska, and, during a span of 20 years, they made thirty-five trips to Alaska.
After retiring, Fred and Charlotte spent two years attending Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, OK, birth place for Fred on August 23, 1927. Also, after retiring, Fred, having served as President of Oregon Old Time Fiddlers, and Charlotte have been active with their musical talents at many retirement homes and special events and have many friends and acquaintances statewide.
Charlotte was loved by everyone with whom she came into contact. She was a cute little girl, a stunningly attractive teenager, a wonderful wife, a loving mother, a deeply concerned grandma, and an exceptionally caring great grandma who was uncommonly blessed with a profound instinct for always doing what was the right thing to do in all circumstances.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Hardin, of Dallas, OR and their children; daughter, Linda Carol Riddell, Dallas, OR; son, Jimmy Ray Hardin, Dallas, OR; and six grandchildren: Allyson Pickerell and David Riddell, Salem, OR; Aymee Kuhlman, Corvallis, OR; Scott and Ronny Hardin, Knoxville, TN; and Nykki Hardin, Los Angeles, CA. She has nine great grandchildren: Ashlee Pickerell, Knoxville, TN; Kaylee Pickerell and Jacob Riddell, Salem, OR; Katee, Abbee, and Curtis Kuhlman, Corvallis, OR; Kahli, Campbell, and McClain Hardin, Knoxville, TN. She is also survived by her sister Mary J. Hardin, (sisters married
cousins), Caney, KS; and sister, Jennie Lee Synowski, Salem, OR. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie; father, William J.; older sister, Virginia.

A private Celebration of Life will be held by her family. Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is handling the arrangements.
Mary Jane Fletcher
April 8, 1934 – April 6, 2016
Mary was born in Muskegon, Mich. She attended nursing school while raising six children and began her career as an LPN working in Los Altos, Calif., from 1968 to 1981.
Mary is survived by sons, Patrick William Fletcher of Beaverton, Timothy David Fletcher of Los Banos, Calif., Shawn Joseph Fletcher of Anchorage, Alaska, and Dennis Michael Fletcher of Belton, Texas; and a daughter, Erin Kathleen Fletcher of Gleneden Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry William Fletcher, and daughter, Colleen Marie Fletcher. And many grandchildren.
A gathering was held at the Fletcher family home in Gleneden Beach on April 9. A graveside service was held April 10 at Taft Pioneer cemetery.

DALLAS - Sharon Kay Reynolds, 73, of Dallas, died on March 5, 2014, in Portland. She was born on July 19, 1940 to Vernon & Evalyn (Burke) Kellogg, in Boulder, Colorado. She was their 3rd daughter. She earned her Master’s degree in math from Colorado University. She married
Richard P. Reynolds on June 17, 1972.
Sharon & Richard enjoyed traveling the country in their motor home. Together they have traveled and slept in all of the lower 48 states, as well as 5 of the Provinces of Canada. They owned and operated H & R Block in Dallas & Monmouth for many years, making many friends and lasting relationships.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Reynolds, of Dallas, and her adopted daughter, Heather (Tom) Baumann, and Richard’s children, Rebecca (Mike) Seeber, Richard (Sandy Nervig) Machle, Robin (Myron) Mogck, and her grandchildren, Kelly, Kristina, Garrett, Zach, & Luke. She is preceded in death by her sister, Margaret.
A celebration of life service was held on Thursday at 10:00AM at the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family.
Frederick McClure, Jr.
Frederick Anthony McClure, Jr. of Falls City, Oregon died October 7, 2014 at the age of 45. He was born July 16, 1969 in Sonora, California to Frederick Anthony, Sr. and Lee Meyers. At a young age Fred moved to Salem, OR and attended school there. After High School he went on to graduate with an automotive degree and began working as a mechanic at Earl’s 76 station in Salem. He met Tamara Dhabolt in 1990, when they met he promised that night he would marry her, he kept his promise and in 1992 they married
in Dallas, OR. Fred and Tamara moved to Dallas and Fred secured a job at MSA, formerly Siltec, a silicon semiconductor plant where he acted as an engineering technician. Eventually he made his way to Falls City and there he and Tamara made their home. Fred was a very active guy and when he wasn’t working he enjoyed fishing, camping, motorcycles, working on and racing cars and even got into Jujitsu and Thai boxing. He also enjoyed volunteering and helping out with functions for the Shriner's group, where they raised money for a good cause and helped out the community, but his biggest joy was spending time with his best friends (his grandchildren) and helping to coach all three of his children in all types of sports, from football to baseball, wrestling and everything in between. He was a good man and will be very missed.
Fred is survived by his wife Tamara; mother: Lee and her husband David; his three sons Michael, Sean and Colin; daughter-in-law: Caitlynn; a brother Bill; and 2 grandsons Trenton (The Monster) and Aaron (The Monster in Training).
A memorial service will begin at 2:00pm Saturday, October 25th in the Dallas Masonic Lodge. The family suggests remembrances to Shriner's Children’s Hospital in his memory. Dallas Mortuary Tribute center is caring for the family.

Emily was born in Woodland, CA August 24, 1980 and moved to Oregon with her family in 1993. She attended and graduated from Perrydale HS in 1998. She Received her BA from Western Oregon University in Language Arts in 2003 and a Masters in Science & Humanities in 2005. Once graduated from WOU her passion was teaching at North Salem HS; where she taught Freshman English, Honors, AVID, Senior Literacy Lab & World Literature & philosophy. She married
the love of her life (Wesley A. Campbell Jr.) on September 21, 2012 in Dallas, OR. They were expecting their first child Isabella Ann Campbell on April 16, 2013. They were both called home to the Lord on March 22, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her Grandmothers, Joni Collet & Modean Iott Truitt, Grandpa Donald V. Iott, Uncles Donald, Bennie & Kenneth Iott and her Father Frank D. Iott. Survivors include: her husband Wesley Campbell, mother Gwenn Collet Iott, brother Barney Iott (Mary Ann); nieces: Jessica (Kellen), Sadie, & Maddie, nephew Luke; sister Daphne Iott Trimpe (Tim), nephew Zak Campbell, Christian Trimpe and niece, Courtney Campbell; sister Stephanie Iott Moffat (Terry); nieces: Emma, Meagan & Mea and her brother Jordan Iott. Grandparents Robert & Bette Collet, Uncle Greg Collet & Aunt Jill Collet; aunts: Judy Iott, Nadine Iott and Betty Jean Truitt Peet (Alan) and many cousins; in-laws Wesley & Retha Campbell Sr. and brother-in-law Chris Campbell (Addie); nephew, Kelton and niece Regan and sister-in-law, Carrie Campbell Rupp (Doug).

Steven Fink, Jr.

Our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend to all, has gone to join his father in eternal peace. Steven (Stevie) was born in Salem, Oregon to Steve Sr. and Suzan Fink. He grew up in Dallas, OR where he graduated from Dallas High School in 1989. He joined the Navy in September of 1989. He served proudly in Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and received many honorable awards of which include 2 Navy Marine Corp. Accommodation Medals, 4 Navy Marine Corp. Achievements Medals. He was selected by the Chiefs board for Chief Petty Officer an honor in which he received with great pride on September 16, 2007. His career in the Navy and his dedication to serve was apparent to his fellow chiefs and personnel. He retired with honors on February 29, 2012.
Steven was an avid car enthusiast. A trait that he shared with his father and brother. He enjoyed all aspects of classic cars that included watching races as well as restoring them. He would always know where the best "Vintage Tin" was wherever he was at. Always on the lookout for one he might acquire. Steven was also an outdoorsman who loved to spend any spare time fishing or planning the next big fishing trip. His smile and charm that made a lasting impression to all that met him will forever be missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Steven G Fink Sr. and survived by his Mother Suzan Elliott (Bill) of Dallas, OR. Grandfather Virgil Carlson of Siletz, OR. Adoring wife of 10 years Jamie Fink and son Dakota Fink of Leonardtown, MD. Daughter Chevelle Fink and son Joseph Fink from LaSalle, IL. Father and Mother in Law James and Brenda Bernard of Richmond, VA. Sister In Law Christina Dunaway, Brother in Law Greg Dunaway and nephew Tucker Dunaway of Powhatan, Va. MELODY MAE GRITTON
Melody Mae Gritton, 68, passed away March 25, 2016, in Salem, Ore.
She was born in Weed, Calif., and grew up in Klamath Falls, Ore., living in California for many years before moving back to Klamath Falls for 10 years, to Gresham, Ore., for four years, until moving to Gleneden Beach in 1996.
Melody worked as a payroll supervisor at Chinook Winds in Lincoln City for 20 years.
She attended the New Life Foursquare Church in Lincoln City, and her Christian faith was very strong.
Melody enjoyed knitting, reading, photography and playing the accordion.
She is survived by children: Terry (Kim) Lasniewski of Klamath Falls, Lori (Clinton) Spencer of Hermiston, Ore., and Marcia Schmidtke of Albany, Ore.; grandchildren: Kylie and Keygan Lasniewski, both of Klamath Falls; Max Spencer of Hermiston; and Jeff Kitto of Albany.
No services will be held.

Polly T. Lenon
May 6, 1971 – February 16, 2013
DALLAS – Polly Thorpe Lenon of Dallas died on February 16, 2013. She was born in Evanston, Illinois to Larry and Nancy Lenon and they moved to Dallas in1974. She graduated from Dallas High School in 1989 and from Willamette University in 1993 with double majors in psychology and sociology.
Polly will be remembered by her friends as compassionate, lively, and adventurous. She loved training and showing her quarter horse, white water rafting, scuba diving, and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle. Her careers included Hillcrest Youth Authority Group Life Coordinator, Legal Secretary & Data Specialist for Marion County District Attorney, Resort Manager in Fiji, management at Salem Scuba and Travel, Hear No Evil, American Motorcycle Classics, and the Fifty Pub and Grub; a construction worker, sales representative for supplemental health insurance, dive boat chef, and web designer. Polly’s huge heart rescued dogs, opossums, and friends in need.
She is survived by her parents Larry and Nancy Lenon, of Dallas. She was their pride and joy and only child. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 11:00AM at the Faith Evangelical Free Church (2290 E Ellendale Ave. Dallas, OR). Memorial contributions are suggested to the Willamette Humane Society, in care of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center, who is caring for the family.
Clair Baker
CLAIR ARLEN BAKER, 84, went to his heavenly home and into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 28, 2012. He was looking forward to seeing all his friends and loved ones who went on before him. We who remain miss him terribly but know we will be together again. He was born on December 18, 1927 in Minnesota the son of Lester Orlando and Cecile Linda Vail Baker. During the mid-1940’s he served in the Merchant Marines. His working career took him from bagboy to owner and operator of a grocery store. He worked for Safeway and other chain grocery stores in the San Francisco Bay area until he started the Food Center Store in Kelseyville, California. He was the unofficial Mayor of Kelseyville and helped transform the town into a commerce center, building a strip mall and liquor store. Clair retired in 1987. He was responsible for having the sign made and placed outside of Kelseyville saying, “A friendly country town”. On February 12, 1994 in Sacramento, California he married
Helen Elder. Together, they moved to Dallas ten years ago. Clair was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor and he loved to tell the stories of his life. Clair and Helen were full-time RV travelers for three years. Clair enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers, Gunsmoke and basketball. Clair and Helen both enjoyed playing pool and a good game of Cribbage.
He is survived by his wife Helen of Dallas, daughters Linda Baker, Connie Barry, Darla Huele and Becky Grover all of California, step-children Sandi Wilmot, Diane Grenz, John Sloppye and Valerie Chapman along with grandchildren: Jared, Colleen, Christina, Jenny, Jake, Josh, Ricky, Lisa, Tami, Roslyn, Matthew, Chris, Tyler, Larissa and Amelia, great grandchildren Tera, Aubrey, Arianna, Joshua, Zachary and Amariah. He was much loved by his sisters-in-law Elizabeth Petrick and Elaine McCroskey. A special thanks to Shannon Hoff RN and Scott Danger Mound Social Worker with Willamette Valley Hospice.
Private burial will be in the Kelseyville cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Willamette Valley Hospice in care of the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center at 287 SW Washington St. Dallas, Oregon 97338.
HOYT DOUGLASS SHERWIN
Hoyt Douglass Sherwin passed away at the age of 71 in Lincoln City, Ore.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. April 9 at Chapel By The Sea Presbyterian Church, 2125 SE Lee Ave., Lincoln City.
Frank Ingels
FRANK A. INGELS, 78, a resident of Dallas died at his home Tuesday, December 23, 2014. He was born on December 17, 1936 in Berkeley, California the son of Andrew H. and Mary Elizabeth Oiler Ingels. He came to Oregon while a freshman in high school. On April 9, 1955, he married
his high school sweetheart, Delores J. Maharin in Tillamook. They have enjoyed 59 years together. They lived in Astoria, Portland, Wilsonville, Hubbard, Pacific City, Brush Prairie, Washington and Lake Bay, Washington before moving to Dallas in 2003. Frank owned a operated a Texaco Service Station on 122nd and Glisan in Portland in the late 50’s and then went to work for the Massey Ferguson Company. He worked in the warehouse, as a foreman, inside order desk and outside service fixing farm equipment. For 29 years, he worked in the Portland area with the Mitchell, Lewis and Staver Company and became the division supervisor for their water well division. In 2000, Frank retired after seven years with the Aermotor Pump Company. He was liked by all he worked with as they all wanted to be in his division. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and grew amazing tomatoes.
He is survived by his wife Delores “Dee” J. Ingels of Dallas, daughter Kathy D. Gilpatrick of Depoe Bay, son Michael F. Ingels of Puyallup, Washington and daughter Patricia Miller of Lincoln City along with nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Richard “Ben” Andrew Ingels and a half-sister Betty Piper.
Viewing will be from 2:00 to 6:00pm Monday, December 29th in the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. The funeral service will begin at 10:00am Tuesday, December 30th also in the mortuary. Interment will follow in the Dallas cemetery.
Barry Roberts
Barry Lafayett Roberts passed away peacefully at his farm on Thursday May 14, 2015. He was born in Burlingame California on February 8, 1955. He grew up in Falls City Oregon on Sample Road for most of his life. He spent his youth working alongside his father at the family farm and family roofing business. Barry also showed Milking Shorthorn cattle in the 4-H program. Fast cars began as a hobby for Barry and his father, but soon grew into a passion that would last his lifetime.
After four years of wins and losses with colon cancer, Barry left us during the early morning, which was his favorite time of the day. His beloved father Herbert, his brother Dennis, and mother Rhonda predeceased his passing. Barry’s spirit is carried on by his wife Laurie, his daughter Jessica, partner Brandon, granddaughter Ophelia, and his daughter Jacquelyn, and his son Jake. Barry and Laurie spent 30 years together as husband and wife. Barry was a man of quiet character with comedic tendencies. All who knew him were blessed with valuable life lessons to which he was always right.
He achieved Journeyman status, and continued building his career as ‘The doorman’. For the past 40 years, Barry prided himself on his unparalleled work ethic for the sake of his customers. The only things that could pry Barry from his work were his family and friends going on camping trips, motorcycle rallies, farming, and Barry’s favorite thing, drag racing. The only object of affection outside of Barry’s wife, kids and grandchild, was his 62’ Nova. In 2012 Barry won his long sought after award in drag racing, the Wally Parks trophy, an accomplishment that he worked towards for 40 years. He was a force to be dealt with on the track while maintaining grace and sportsmanship off the track. His honor, valor, and commitment will go unrivaled for those who could call him a friend. Services celebrating his life will be held at the Polk County Fairgrounds on Sunday May 17, 2015 at 5:00pm with a hot rod/motorcycle cruise-in.
