Pavlov
Mary Pavlov, 70, of Woodburn, died June 20, 2010. She was born June 2, 1940 in Gorgan, Iran.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the Molokan Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Pavlov, of Woodburn; daughters, Nancy Klistoff, of Woodburn and Kathy Michicoff, of Almonte, Calif.; son, Bill Pavlov, of Corona, Calif; brother, John Konovalov, of California; sister, Anna Darbiniyan, of the country Georgia; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held June 27 at 10 a.m. at the Molokan Christian Church in Gervais.

Verry
William “Bill” Robert Verry, 77, of Woodburn, died Sept. 29, 2010. He was born July 11, 1933 in Portland.
He graduated from Grant High School and Reed College, receiving his master’s degree from University of California and his Ph.D from The Ohio State University.
After a long career with the U.S. Navy, Department of Defense and various Pentagon contractors, he turned to teaching at Clemson University and later at Columbia River Community College.
He moved to Woodburn five years ago and participated in community affairs with his wife, Jean.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Verry; sister, Joyce Harkins; eight children and 19 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, located at 1560 W. Hayes St. in Woodburn.
Memorials can be made to a hospice of choice or Legacy Hopewell House Hospice.
Rommel
Oford James Rommel, 95, of Woodburn, died Sept. 29, 2010. He was born Aug. 23, 1915 in Claremore, Okla.
He worked as a mason for a construction company and later for the state of California before retiring in 1977. He moved to Woodburn in 1999. He was a member of the Woodburn Lodge and an Eastern Star member.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Bonnie Rommel, of Woodburn; daughter, Norma Seely, of Woodburn; son, Clarence “Jim” Rommel, of Georgetown, Calif.; brother, Lewis Rommel, of Napa, Calif.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
There will be no services.
Solovieff
Nicholas A. Solovieff, 75, of Hubbard, died Oct. 1, 2010. He was born July 10, 1935 in China.
He worked as a group life coordinator at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of New Life Foursquare Church in Canby.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Solovieff, of Hubbard; daughter, Sonia Hermansen; son, Dave Solovieff; sister, Vera Lokteff and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. at New Life Foursquare Church in Canby. A private graveside service will be held at Belle Passi cemetery in Woodburn.
Goetz
Lawrence C. (Larry) Goetz, 69, of Woodburn, died Sept. 27, 2010. He was born May 20, 1941 in Silverton to Donald and Marie Goetz.
He was raised in Hubbard and graduated from North Marion High School in 1959.
He married
Gladys Windham on June 25, 1965 and divorced in August of 1983. He then married
Merveline Leventon in 1989 and later divorced in 1995.
He joined the U.S. Air Force on Dec 1, 1960 and was stationed at Yokota Air Base, Japan until 1961 when he was then transferred to MacDill Air Base in Tampa, Fla. He was honorably discharged in 1965.
He enjoyed everything that had to do with the outdoors. He was a successful bow hunter and scout master for his sons’ Boy Scout troops.
He spent many weekends camping, hiking and attending Scout functions. He was an avid collector of guns, was a life-long member of the National Rifle Association and was a gun safety instructor. He was an accomplished pilot who built and flew his own experimental airplane. He also enjoyed long rides on his Harley Davidson.
He is survived by sons, Jeff Goetz, of Portland and Raymond Windham, of Milwaukie; daughter, Peggy Ledeboer, of Aurora; mother, Marie Goetz, of Hubbard; brothers, Donald Goetz, of Mexico, Byron Goetz, of Colton, Gerald Goetz, of Woodburn, Kenneth Goetz, Woodburn, Robert Goetz, of Hubbard and Charles Goetz, of Woodburn; and sister Donna Goetz, of Hubbard.
A graveside service was held at Willamette National cemetery on Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.
Following the service, friends and family were invited to attend a reception in his honor at the Wings of Freedom Banquet Room at the Bomber Restaurant, located at 13515 S.E. McLoughlin Blvd. in Milwalkie.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
Hunt
Angela Ann Hunt, 70, of Woodburn, died Oct. 1, 2010. She was born March 16, 1940 in Stweet Grass, Mont.
She worked at Walmart.
She is survived by her son, Gerald Hunt, of Prineville; daughter, Jada Bergemann, of Portland; brother, Earl Brown, of Lexington, Ky.; sister, Mary Lou Olson, of Oregon City and five grandchildren.
She belonged to the Pioneer Chapel Easter Star, American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of the Lutheran church.
She moved to West Linn in 1955 then to Oregon City and Bend before settling in Woodburn in 1996.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Woodburn.
Robinson
Douglas Albert Robinson, 61, of Woodburn, died Sept. 11, 2010. He was born Nov. 7, 1948 in California to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Robinson.
He was a commercial fisherman, cannery mechanic and millwright.
He loved to travel and fish.
He is survived by daughters, Darcey Truesdell, of Canby, YEvette Robinson, of Oregon and eight grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held Sept. 25 in Woodburn.
Goetz
Lawrence “Larry” Goetz, 69, of Woodburn, died Sept. 27, 2010. He was born May 20, 1941 in Silverton.
He worked as a heavy equipment operation.
He is survived by mother, Marie Goetz; children, Peggy Ledeboer, Jeff Goetz, Ray Windham and Brenda Sweeting; brothers, Donald, Gerald, Byron, Charles, Robert and Kenneth Goetz; sister, Donna Marie Goetz; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Malcolm Windham and brother, Michael Goetz.
A graveside service will be held at Willamette National cemetery in Portland on Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.

Smith
Keanan Troy Smith, 19, of Hubbard, died Sept. 27, 2010. He was born Dec. 15, 1990 in Corona, Calif.
He graduated from North Marion High School and was a member of Grace Chapel.
He is survived by his parents, Richard Smith, of Hubbard and Whitney Heren, of Utah; brother, Dan Wyatt Beck; sisters Aabri Sawyer and Shea Smith; and grandparents, Richard and Judy Smith.
A celebration of life will be held Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. at Cornwell Colonial Chapel of Wilsonville. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Wilmes
Wilfried Wilmes, 82, of Aurora, died Sept. 29, 2010. He was born Jan. 10, 1928 in Hubbard.
He owned his own hop farm.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes, of Aurora; sons, Douglas Wilmes, of Aurora, Mark Wilmes, of St. Paul and Craig Wilmes, of Canby; daughters, Angela Burden, of Aurora and Julie Rauen, of Tigard; brother, Walt Wilmes, of Woodburn; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held Oct. 1 and a funeral Mass will be held Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Woodburn. Interment will be at St. Luke Catholic cemetery.

Roth
Myrna Jean Roth, 65, of Silverton, died Sept. 13, 2010. She was born Feb. 19, 1945 in Milford, Neb. to Orvin and Elsie (Schweitzer) Yeackley.
She married
Ken Roth on Aug. 27, 1966.
She was a mother and wife who loved to cook and entertain. She worked in the banking industry and later in the family business, which included over 25 yearly trips to Arizona to run the family Christmas tree lot.
She is survived by her husband, Ken, of Silverton; son, Mike Roth, of Silverton; daughter, Melissa King, of Silverton; brother, Keith Yeackley, of Kasilof, Alaska; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Arlene Schweitzer and a niece and nephew.
A celebration of life will be held Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. at Zion Mennonite Church, located at 6124 S. Whiskey Hill Road in Hubbard.
