Robert H. Calhoun of Terrebonne died Feb. 11. He was 72.

Mr. Calhoun was born March 1, 1930, in Jerome, Ariz. He married
Joneen in 1980.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1948.
Mr. Calhoun worked as a machinist. He retired in 1996.
Survivors include his wife of Terrebonne; three sons, Larry, Gary and Kerry, all of Portland; a sister, Jane Powell of San Marcus, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister.

Noah J. Floyd
April 12, 1917 - Feb. 17, 2002
Noah J. Floyd of Prineville died Sunday of natural causes. He was 84.
A memorial service will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 748 S. Main in Prineville.
Mr. Floyd was born April 12, 1917, in Redmond to Noah and Lucy (Bearce) Floyd. He attended ONeil School and graduated from Crook County High School. He married
Bonnie Templeton in February 1939, in Prosser, Wash.
He farmed in Oregon and Washington. He then worked at Hudspeth Mill Works in Oregon, Utah and Colorado. He married
Ruby Thompson. He retired in 1982. He moved to Prineville in 1991.
Survivors include his two sons, Don and Rich, both of Kennewick, Wash.; two stepsons, Charles Culver of Magna, Utah, and Dan Skillings of Prineville; a daughter, Francis Borders of Kennewick, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Jody Leaher of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; a brother, Donald of Oceanside, Calif.; two sisters, Mildred Nelson of Prineville and Lena Olson of Colfax, Wis.; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first and second wife, a son, parents, three brothers and a sister.

Emily Melissa Spencer-Chamberlin

Emily Melissa Spencer-Chamberlin of Prineville died Friday of natural causes. She was 86.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Prineville Community Church.
Mrs. Chamberlin was born Nov. 29, 1915, in Bend to Ralph and Florence (McCann) Spencer. She graduated from Southern Oregon Normal School. She married
Duncan Stan Chamberlin on June 2, 1946, in Bend.
She worked as a teacher. Her first teaching job was a one-room schoolhouse in Lone Pine. She taught kindergarten and first grade in Prineville for 25 years.
Mrs. Chamberlin was affiliated with the Prineville Community Church. She was a member of the Quilting Club and Physckrat Senior Book Club.
Survivors include her son, James Chamberlin of Orland; a daughter, Karol Wagner of Tillamook; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, parents, a brother and a sister.

Wilber Bud Beagle

Wilber Bud Beagle of Prineville died Saturday. He was 75.
No service will be held.
Mr. Beagle was born Sept. 4, 1926, in Yakima, Wash., to Wilbur and Helen (Stiker) Beagle. He married
Catherine on Feb. 5, 1981, in Reno, Nev.
He served in the U.S. Army and toured Japan.
Mr. Beagle worked as a log truck driver. He then worked for K.F. Jacobson Company and Ross Island Sand&Gravel; in Portland. He retired and moved to Prineville in 1988.
He enjoyed watching auto racing on television, fishing, traveling, exploring the countryside and spending time with his family and dogs.
Survivors include his wife of Prineville; two sons, Ted Kuffler of Gresham and Gerald of Estacada; a daughter, Tanya Owens of Portland; a brother, Robert of Tigard; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Beatrice 'Rhoda' Rhodonna (Poage) Zilk

Beatrice ”Rhoda” Rhodonna (Poage) Zilk of Redmond died Saturday of natural causes. She was 90.

Mrs. Zilk was born June 15, 1911, in Vancouver, Wash. She married
Carl Zilk.
She worked as a co-owner and bookkeeper for eight years at Flomatic Manufacturing in Portland. She retired in 1988. She moved to Redmond in 2000 to be near family.
Survivors include her son, C.W. ”Bill” of Sisters; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter and two sisters.

Dorothy M. (Hagerman) Fowler

Dorothy M. (Hagerman) Fowler of Bend died Saturday of natural causes. She was 92.
No service will be held.
Mrs. Fowler was born Dec. 21, 1909, in Missoula, Mont. She married
Leemore Fowler on June 30, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio.
She worked as a stenographer for various government agencies. She lived in Seattle from 1939 to 1993. She moved to Bend in 1993.
Mrs. Fowler enjoyed singing and sang with the St. Louis Municipal Opera when she was 18 years old. She also enjoyed sewing, dancing and cooking.
Survivors include her two daughters, Darlene Moss of Bend and Virginia Wise of Seattle; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and a granddaughter.

Stanley F. Brown

Stanley F. Brown of Bend died Tuesday of natural causes. He was 61.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Methodist Church in Bend.
Mr. Brown was born Nov. 29, 1940, in Jackson Hole, Wyo. He married
Judith Barnes on June 30, 1960, in Dillard.
He worked as a mechanical engineer of computer disk drives. He also helped develop computer disk drives. He moved to Bend in 1995.
Mr. Brown volunteered with producing and editing CDs for the Cascade Choral. He enjoyed restoring cars and water skiing.
Survivors include his wife of Bend; a son, Chris of San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Julia Cramer and Melissa, both of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Gerald of Portland; two sisters, Heide of Gabriola Island, British Columbia, Canada, and Satya of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; and four grandchildren.

Genevieve S. Boatwright

Genevieve S. Boatwright of Fort Rock died Tuesday. She was 89.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Liberty Christian Church in Salem. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Fort Rock cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at the Fort Rock Grange Hall.
Mrs. Boatwright was born Jan. 31, 1913, in Altoona, Iowa. She married
Granville Boatwright in 1929.
She owned and operated the Tired Horse Pie Shop.
Mrs. Boatwright was affiliated with the Liberty Christian Church in Salem and was a board member for the Fort Rock Community Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her two sons, Martin of Rickreall and Steven of Portland; three daughters, Lois Irby of La Pine, Frances Bennett of Salem and Rosemary Ness of Albany; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.

Lois W. (Gard) Verley of Bend died Sunday of natural causes. She was 87.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Verley was born Feb. 25, 1915, in Clarks. She married
Rupert Verley on Sept. 9, 1933, in Clackamas.
She moved to Bend in 1959. She worked as a rural route carrier for The Bulletin from 1960 to 1967.
Mrs. Verley enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, music, dancing and word search puzzles.
Survivors include her husband of Bend; a son, Robert of Bend; two daughters, Donna Borland of Mesa, Ariz., and Dianna Warren of Canby; a sister, Carol Kennedy of Oregon City; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and two sisters.
