Lynnell "Lynn" Rae (Latta) Creel of Bend died Saturday of natural causes. She was 48.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at The River of Life Chapel at St. Charles Medical Center.
Ms. Creel was born May 13, 1954, in San Diego to Joseph and Roberta Latta.
She was a homemaker.
Ms. Creel enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. She also enjoyed sewing, collecting Americana and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her son Nicholas Brittain of Bend; three daughters, Stacey Tarvin of Everett, Wash., Sarah Creel Hake of Barre, Utah, and Katie Creel of Redmond; her mother, Roberta Ridgeway; two sisters, Bobbie Jo Verrastro of Denver and Roxeen Crister of Slo, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.

Kalena Adel Harvey

Kalena Adel Harvey of Terrebonne died Saturday in an accident. She was 12.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Missionary Baptist Church in Bend. A graveside service will follow at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.
Kalena was born Aug. 10, 1990, in Redding, Calif.
She attended Hugh Hartman Middle School. She loved all of her teachers and the staff there.
Kalena was affiliated with the First Missionary Baptist Church.
She enjoyed horseback riding, arts and crafts and bible trivia.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Jim and Carole Harvey; her mother and stepfather, Karen and Byron Bergstad; six brothers, Matt Wagner, Chris Wagner, J. D. Harvey, Virgil Bergstad, Brandon Anderson and Bud Brock; four sisters, Tammy Wagner, Amy Bergstad, Shannon Brock and Katona Anderson; grandparents, Virgil and Inga Bergstad of North Bend, Barbara Spahr of Rohnert Park, Calif., and Larry and Mary Clark.

Ralph E. Lockwood
Oct. 26, 1940 - Jan. 29, 2003
Ralph E. Lockwood of Bend died Jan. 29 of natural causes. He was 62.
A private service will be held.
Mr. Lockwood was born Oct. 26, 1940, in Flagstaff, Ariz., to Mac and Irene McKeiver.
He served in the Navy and was honorably discharged.
Mr. Lockwood was a truck driver. He retired in 1993.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and leatherworks. He also enjoyed drawing cartoons and hawks.
Survivors include his son Shon; six stepchildren; two brothers; one sister, Barbara Dupret; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dorothy L. Meyers
Dec. 6, 1902 - May 26, 2003
Dorothy L. Meyers of Bend died Monday of natural causes. She was 100.
A private service will be held.
Mrs. Meyers was born Dec. 6, 1902, in Cuba, Mo., to John and Olga Howarth. She married
Stanley Meyers in September of 1920 in St. Louis, Mo.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Meyers was affiliated with the Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and being with her family.
Survivors include her two sons, Robert of Beaumount, Calif., and John of Bend; a daughter, Harriett Heisey of Bend; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Carl Irvin Hamilton

Carl Irvin Hamilton of Prineville died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 94.
A private service will be held.
Mr. Hamilton was born May 9, 1909, in Rural Dell to Jacob and Melinda (Simmons) Hamilton.
He married
Bessie Rector on Oct. 31, 1934, in Stevenson, Wash.
Mr. Hamilton operated a service station garage in Portland before moving to Aloha. He worked for Butler Tire and Battery Co. in Aloha for 33 years. He recently moved to Prineville to be near his family.
Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Washington County Woodcutters Association.
His hobbies included rockhouding, traveling and photography. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed planting a large vegetable garden.
Survivors include his three sons, Kenneth of Portland, Howard of Oregon City and Paul of Prineville; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, eight siblings and a grandson.

Caroline Elizabeth Wassemiller

Caroline Elizabeth Wassemiller of Bend died May 23 of natural causes. She was 86.

Mrs. Wassemiller was born June 15, 1916, in Hood River to Eugene and Callie Sagers. She married
Aaron Wassemiller in Hood River.
Mrs. Wassemiller worked as a seamstress. She retired in 1978.
Her hobbies included gardening, fishing and knitting. She also enjoyed reading and sewing.
Survivors include her son Richard Patton; two daughters, Anita Ezell and Kathy Hurita; a sister, Esther Boylen; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Luis R. Armstrong
March 7, 1938 - May 28, 2003
Luis R. Armstrong of Madras died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 65.
Viewings will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bel-Air Colonial Funeral Home.
Mr. Armstrong was born March 7, 1938, in Puerto Rico to Tomas and Maria Armstrong. He married
Iris on Nov. 20, 1956, in New York.
Mr. Armstrong worked as an interpreter.
Survivors include his wife of Madras; two sons, Louis of Monmouth and Walter of Wilsonville; a daughter, Yirah Marrero of Madras; a brother, Jose of Puerto Rico; and numerous half-brothers. Bel-Air Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Carrie Lydia Howard

Carrie Lydia Howard of La Pine died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 93.
No service will be held.
Mrs. Howard was born Sept. 24, 1909, in Delavin, Ill., to Daniel and Della (Choate) Drake. She married
Harris Howard in 1955 in Twin Falls, Idaho.
She worked on a ranch with her family in Carey, Idaho. She moved to La Pine in 1987 to be near her family.
Mrs. Howard enjoyed senior citizen's lunch meetings and working in her yard. She also enjoyed flowers and her family.
Survivors include her son Elwood Danielson of Placerville, Calif.; four daughters, Garnet Swindling of La Pine, Lillian Schiltz of Powell, Wyo., Winifred Schiele of Williston, N.D., and Aileen Salter of Steele, N.D.; two sisters, Frances Frederickson and Camilla Drake, both of Marselle, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Danielson, a son, grandson, four brothers and five sisters.

Donald Gene Tatro

Donald Gene Tatro of Bend died Thursday. He was 75.

Mr. Tatro was born Aug. 6, 1927, in Red Bluff, Calif., to Ralph and Jean Tatro. He was raised and educated in Red Bluff. He married
Jean McGregor on March 19, 1949, in Red Bluff.
Mr. Tatro worked as a painting contractor.
Survivors include his two sons, Lee of Oroville, Calif., and Jeff of Bend; a daughter, Shari Dinucci of Bend; two brothers, Johnny and Duane, both of Red Bluff, Calif.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
