Mrs. Dirzuis was born July 25, 1910, in Cicero, Ill., to Simon and Sophie (Talkus) Davidauskas. She married
Boniface Dirzuis.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Dirzuis was affiliated with the Catholic Church.
She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was an avid reader.
Mrs. Dirzuis moved to Redmond four years ago.
Survivors include her daughter, Roberta Giblin of Illinois; one brother; one sister; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister.

Cherie Marie Rhind

Cherie Marie Rhind of Redmond died Monday of natural causes. She was 56.
No service will be held.
Mrs. Rhind was born Aug. 6, 1946, in Napa, Calif. She graduated from Shasta College in Redding, Calif. She married
Burke Rhind.
She owned Film Producers Warehouse in Phoenix, Ariz., which provided cast, crew and equipment for commercials.
Mrs. Rhind was affiliated with the Screen Guild.
Survivors include her two sons, Brad Curd of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kevin Curd of Lake Preston, S.D.; one daughter, Laura Brown of Vacaville, Calif.; her father, Harold Simpson of Carmichael, Calif.; stepfather, Benny Torres of Goleta, Calif.; one brother, Ryne Torres of Lompoc, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and two brothers. Autumn Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
Edna Fay Palmer
Feb. 25, 1919 - Dec. 2, 2002
Edna Fay Palmer of Tumalo died Monday of natural causes. She was 83.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Tumalo Community Church. Another memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Prineville Funeral Home.
Mrs. Palmer was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Grandview to Dempsey and Bessie (White) Glover. She married
Vern Palmer on March 25, 1937, in Turner.
She moved to the Schwarzer Ranch in Paulina and worked there until 1980. She moved to Smokey Butte and then to Tumalo in 1995.
Mrs. Palmer was affiliated with the Paulina Community Church and Tumalo Community Church.
She enjoyed fishing on Beaver Creek, hunting and horseback riding.
Survivors include her husband of Tumalo; two sons, Jan of Terrebonne and Ronnie of Paulina; one brother, Roy Glover of South Carolina; three sisters, June Clark of Salem, Dorothy Christenson of Boise, Idaho and Ruby Lucas of Hermiston; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a grandchild.

Jeanne Marie (Cochran) Mary

Jeanne Marie (Cochran) Mary of Lebanon died Nov. 14. She was 83.

Mrs. Mary was born Nov. 9, 1919, in Heppner to Roy and Delia (Cason) Cochran. After her mother's death in 1925, she was raised by her grandparents in Albany. She married
Gerald Mary in 1945. She lived in Lebanon for 37 years.
She was an office manager for electrical contractors. She retired in 1982 and moved to La Pine. She moved back to Lebanon in 1996.
Mrs. Mary was involved with music organizations in Lebanon.
Survivors include her three sons, Terry Emmett of Northglenn, Colo., Ron Mary and Mike Mary, both of Portland; one brother, Bill Cochran of Albany; and seven grandchildren.

Anna Marie (Russell) McDonough

Anna Marie (Russell) McDonough of Bend died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 87.
No service will be held.
Mrs. McDonough was born April 14, 1915, in Helena, Mont., to Hamer and Dora Mae (Wiley) Russell. She married
William McDonough in October of 1931 in Los Angeles.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. McDonough was affiliated with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bend. She enjoyed reading and sewing.
Mrs. McDonough moved to Bend in 1998.
Survivors include her son, William of Paradise, Calif.; four daughters, Kathleen Herlien of Lompoc, Calif., Barbara Hugo of Santa Barbara, Calif., Terry of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lolita Lamke of Bend; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a daughter.

Helen Louise (McCarter) Ransom

Helen Louise (McCarter) Ransom of Mesa, Ariz., died Tuesday of natural causes. She was 85.
A memorial service will be held at noon Dec. 14 at Inglewood Presbyterian Church in Kirkland, Wash.
Mrs. Ransom was born Dec. 18, 1916, in Spokane, Wash., to William and Ella McCarter. She married
Reginald Ransom on May 27, 1939, in Spokane, Wash.
She and her husband owned BiRite Variety in Okanogan, Wash., and Ransom's Department Store in Madras.
She was affiliated with Okanogan OES #113 and the PEO organization. She enjoyed golfing and fly fishing. She liked to sew, knit and play bridge.
Survivors include her son, James of Bend; two daughters, Judy Rainwater of Kirkland, Wash., and Kathy Baker of Surprise, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and a sister. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Dr. Patricia Pat' Schaefer
Feb. 10, 1951 - Dec. 2, 2002
Dr. Patricia "Pat" Schaefer of Sisters died Monday in an automobile accident. She was 51.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints in Redmond.
Dr. Schaefer was born Feb. 10, 1951, in Wilmington, Del., to Herbert and Phyllis (Keister) Schaefer. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware and a doctorate degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She lived in Kenya for three months as a medical student.
She worked in emergency rooms in the Washington D.C. area from 1980 to 1992. Dr. Schaefer worked one year at the South Pole as base doctor for International Telephone/Telegraph. At the time of her death she was an emergency room doctor at Central Oregon Community Hospital in Redmond. She was also a supervisor for Redmond's fire emergency medical technicians.
Dr. Schaefer was affiliated with the Sisters Community Choir, the SMART reading program and a local book club.
She enjoyed outdoor activities, sailing, rafting, her motor home and her animals. She was an avid reader. She was interested in astronomy and geology.
Survivors include her three sisters, Karen Schaefer of Gaston, Gail Schaefer of Efland, N.C., and Nancy Schaefer of Greensboro, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society and/or blood donations may be given to the Red Cross.

Blakely Douglas Warren

Blakely Douglas Warren of Redmond died Monday in an accident. He was 15.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Highland Baptist Church in Redmond.
Blakely was born April 25, 1987, in Medford.
He was a sophomore at Redmond High School.
Blakely was an avid skateboarder. He enjoyed playing ball at the Boys and Girls Club and hanging out with his brother.
Survivors include his mother, Kimberly Warren and his stepfather, Michael Garibay both of Redmond; one brother, Colton Warren of Redmond; and his grandparents, Bub and Darlene Warren of Klamath Falls.

Gene H. Grigsby

Gene H. Grigsby of Bend died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 86.
No service will be held.
Mr. Grigsby was born April 23, 1916, in Akron, Ohio, to Earl and Mildred Grigsby. He married
Janet on March 13, 1939, in San Pedro, Calif.
He was a Lieutenant Commander in the Navy. He served 27 years and retired in 1960.
Mr. Grigsby was affiliated with the Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing.
