Judith Sigworth
Sept. 7, 1939 -- Aug. 4, 2002
Judith Ann Sigworth, 62, of Albany died Sunday at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.
She was born in Illinois to John and Dorothy Elizabeth Lungren. She grew up in Fontana, Calif.
She married
Melvin Marcus Dumas, and they had divorced. She married
Gilbert Sigworth and he died in 1985.
Mrs. Sigworth had attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Fontana, Calif. She moved to Albany in 1998.
Surviving are son Mark Dumas of Albany; daughters Elizabeth Young of Albany and Mary Ann Dumas of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; brother Richard Lungren of Fontana, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Green Acres cemetery in Bloomington, Calif. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Allie L. Douglas
Jan. 15, 1911 -- Sept. 30, 2002
LEBANON -- Allie L. Douglas, 91, of Lebanon died Monday at an assisted living home in Keizer.
She was born in Prineville to Charles and Myrtle (Banta) Parrish. She moved to Canada at age 5 and lived in the Grand Prairie and Edmonton, Alberta, areas for 41 years.
She married
James McQuade on Nov. 11, 1939, in Edmonton. They moved to Salem in 1956, and Mr. McQuade died March 9, 1957.
She married
Edward C. Douglas on Aug. 13, 1966, and they settled in Lebanon. Mr. Douglas died Feb. 9, 1996.
Mrs. Douglas is survived by son James McQuade of Keizer; daughters Joy Daniels of Turner and Linda Coleman of Portland; brother Emery Parrish of Canada; and sisters Luella Johnson and Velna Dorschied, both of Canada, and Eleanor Saunders of Lynwood, Wash. There are seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Lebanon IOOF cemetery.
Contributions in her name may be made to the Salvation Army or the American Heart Association, in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant St., Lebanon, OR 97355.
Howard Price Jr.
May 5, 1923 -- May 13, 2002
Former Linn County resident Howard E. "Happy" Price Jr., 79, of Palm Springs, Calif., died May 13.
Mrs. Price was once a businessman in Albany and Scio.
Survivors include children Ellen George and James Price, both of California, and Eileen Neamy and Beverly Kaucher, both of Oregon; brothers William and Jack Tatum and James Hathaway; and sister Beverly Banks.
An infant daughter died in 1945.
Burial of Mr. Price's ashes will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 7, at the National cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
Joseph Thompson
Dec. 6, 1927 -- Nov. 27, 2002
LEBANON -- Joseph F. Thompson, 74, of Lebanon died Wednesday at the Portland Veterans Medical Center.
Born in Holley, he was the son of Wilburn and Leah (Nixon) Thompson. He spent most of his life in the Lebanon area.
He married
Donna Mae Paine on May 16, 1960, in Chehalis, Wash.
Mr. Thompson enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to a good sermon. He loved playing with his grandchildren.
Surviving are wife Donna of Lebanon; and daughter Diane Kennedy of Lebanon, Pamela Martin of Grants Pass, Jane Kline of Snohomish, Wash., and Susan Thompson of Ashland. He is also survived by a brother, four sisters, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
A private family service is planned, with burial to be at Sand Ridge cemetery near Lebanon. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
David Theodore Harrison
May 17, 1927 — June 18, 2009
David Theodore Harrison, 82, of Albany died Friday at his home.
David was born in Grandville, Mich., to Earl and Rilia (Fretz) Harrison. He was raised in the Milan area of Illinois from the 1930s to 1948. He graduated from Sherrard Community High School in 1945.
He lived in Coal Valley, Ill., until 1956, and then spent 10 years in Azusa, Calif. After spending three years in El Cajon, Calif., David moved to Albany, where he spent the remainder of his years.
While living in Coal Valley, David married
Shirley Jean Litchfield on Oct. 24, 1948.
David was a member of the Masonic Lodge — Valley Lodge 547 — in Coal Valley, and was a past worthy patron of Valley Chapter 274 of the Order of the Eastern Star, also in Illinois.
David enjoyed gardening and fishing. He also liked watching sports on his television, especially auto racing.
David is survived by his wife; children Mark Harrison of Lebanon, Shirley “Joann” Fisher of Hollister, Mo., and Colleen Harrison of Avignon, France; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother Raymond; and sisters Ruth Anderson and Charlotte Rohr.
The family is planning services for a later date.

Spencer Edward Bilderback
Aug. 6, 1989 — June 19, 2009
Spencer E. Bilderback, 19, of Lebanon died Friday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
Spencer was born in Eugene, the son of Anthony and Ruth (Hansen) Bilderback. In 1994, he moved to Lebanon, where he lived his childhood on the family’s grass seed farm. He was currently a student at Linn-Benton Community College and had dreams of someday becoming a physical therapist. He worked as a custodian at Avamere Rehabilitation of Lebanon, where he was known as the “Floor Polish Pro.”
Spencer loved being around people, being in the outdoors and spending time with his family and his girlfriend. He enjoyed playing tennis and golf and was a master of all video games. He lived his life by E.L.E.B. (Everybody Love Everybody).
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ruth and Tim Hayes of Lebanon; father and stepmother Anthony and Julie Bilderback of Massachusetts; brothers Tyler, Brian, Kenny, Luke and Drew; and several aunts and uncles and extended family who loved him.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Providence cemetery near Scio. A potluck picnic will follow the service at Roaring River Park.

Jack Richard Weiss
June 25, 1935 — June 7, 2009
Jack Richard Weiss, 73, of Cameron Park, Calif., passed away June 7.
Jack was born in Stillwater, Minn. He lived in Albany throughout his childhood.
Jack married
Marlee Ellen Bellows, who passed away Feb. 26, 2005.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Marlee Ellen Bellows; his parents; and sister Bonnie Weiss Bonner.
He is survived by two sons, Jay Weiss of Santa Clara, Calif., and Jeff Weiss and wife Sheila of Roseville, Calif.; daughter Leigh Ann Weiss of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and five granddaughters.
Memorial services were at Green Valley Mortuary in Rescue, Calif.
The family requests memorial contributions be sent to the American Heart Association.
Jose ‘Bud’ Manuel Perry
May 22, 1933 — June 21, 2009
Jose “Bud” Manuel Perry, 76, passed away Sunday.
He was born in Bellingham, Wash., to Joseph and Candia (Perze) Perry.
He came to Sweet Home as a child and attended schools there. He enjoyed football and basketball as a child and was part of the eighth-grade Champions. He enjoyed working and restoring cars.
Jose is survived by his children, Franklin Manuel Perry and Edgar DeWane Perry, both of Sweet Home, and Leta DeAnna Perry of Lebanon; sister Adeline Webb of Florence; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
No services are planned at this time.

Delmer O. Falk
March 13, 1929 — May 25, 2009
Delmer O. Falk, 80, passed away May 25 at his home near Burns with loved ones at his side.
He was born to Louis R. Sr. and Anna Drone Falk at the family home near Halsey. He attended grade school at a small country school near the family home. After grade school he began work on the farm and at a lumber mill in the Brownsville area until he went into the U.S. Army in the late ’40s and early ’50s. It was there that he got his high school education.
After he returned home from the Army he drove a log truck and also went to work for Fisher Implement Company in Halsey. Finally he went to work for his brother in the Burns area for a couple of years, and then moved back to the Willamette Valley in the Junction City area to begin working in the logging industry. He worked for Pete Austin and Walt Barrows before working for Chester Bradley. From there, he and his wife moved to the Sisters area in 1969. In 1971 he started working for Babler Brothers in construction out of the Redmond area. He quit that job in 1983 and went to Alaska, where he spent nine years working on construction during the summer months. He worked with heavy equipment building roads on the pipeline, at mining and airports as far north as Barrow, Alaska. He retired in 1992 to his home in the Sisters area. In 2007 he moved back to Harney County, near Burns.
His hobbies were putting together flyable airplane kits, building motorized toys for his great-granddaughter, Shannon, who he helped raise for 13 years, tinkering with building a wood splitter, his flatbed trailer, small farm equipment, camping, hunting, and fishing with his wife of over 50 years.
Delmer is survived by his wife, Audrey Hill Falk; granddaughter Shannon Quillin; stepson Harold Curtis; stepgrandchildren; sister Betty Alexander of St. David, Ariz.; sister-in-law Judy Falk of Halsey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Charlie D., Louis R. Jr. and Stanley M. Falk; and four sisters, Ava Thompson, Edna Porter, Luella Starnes and Ardella Reese.
At Delmer’s request there will be no service.
