Margaret ‘Maggie’ Ann Gregory
GREGORY, Margaret “Maggie” Ann —The children of Margaret ‘Maggie’ Ann Gregory, who left this world on Saturday, October 15, 2005, would like to take this opportunity to give praise and thanks to their mother. Margaret was born in Oklahoma. She spent her childhood in Klamath Falls, Oregon; married Dwayne Gregory in 1953; and had spent the past 40 years as an active community member in the Winston, Oregon, and Roseburg, Oregon, area. The Gregory family owned and operated Gregory’s Grocery at Kelly’s Corner for several years and then moved to Winston. Margaret worked at Parkway Auto and retired from there in 1997. First and foremost Margaret was devoted to her family in immeasurable ways. In addition to her children and husband, she took care of her extended family at a moments notice. This loving work extended to her community, as she and her husband were active members in the Good Sam Travel Club. She volunteered at the visitor’s center and had been an active and enthusiastic participant in the Red Hat Society of Winston for the past several years. Margaret leaves behind her loving husband, Dwayne; her children, Cindy and Dennis; her daughter-in-law, Cindy; her grandchildren, Joshua; Jason; and Travis; and nine great-grandchildren. Her memory will live in our hearts forever. There will be a celebration of life in memory of Maggie at the family home on Saturday, October 22, 2005, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Coffee and dessert will be served. The address is 200 Ford Street in Winston. Please donate food to the local food bank instead of bringing a dish to the family. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
