Harris, Ronnie ‘Jay’ — Age 30, passed away on December 6, 2004, at his residence. Jay was born on August 7, 1974, in Roseburg, Oregon, to Leola and Gary Harris. Jay lived in Roseburg primarily all of his life. He attended one year at Umpqua Community College and enjoyed his classes in computers. It's hard to find words to describe Jay, at least in the English language. Jay had a knack for rubbing people the wrong way one moment, then charming them the next. Jay played hard and lived harder. His bizarre sometimes hilarious behavior while partying is legendry. If you ever met Jay, you would definitely remember him. Jay struggled most of his life to find his place in this world. The last two years of his life, Jay finally found something to call his own. Jay discovered a passion for computers and he ran with it, much like he ran with anything he did. His intensity in his brief life is well known. It is important to note that Jay seemed at the end to have indulged in a path of self discovery. He was trying to better himself and was doing better then he ever had. Jay had a special place in his soul for family and friends. He would have laid down his life for them if he needed to. Jay was always a loyal friend. He will be sorely missed.
