Marlene L. G. Magruder
The funeral services for Marlene Lee Gardner Magruder will be at 1 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2004 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 111 Clay Street, Ashland, OR. Private interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford, OR.
Mrs. Magruder, 66, formerly of Ashland, died Monday, January 5, 2004 at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, NV.
Marlene was born December 9, 1937 in Ashland, OR to Albert and Helen (Mansfield) Gardner. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1955 and attended Beauty College in Medford. She moved from the Rogue Valley in the late 1950's, and became a mortgage broker in Mt. Vernon, WA. Marlene lived in Pahrump, NV the past five years.
On November 8, 1998 in Ashland, she married Radford Magruder, who survives.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, Radford of Pahrump, NV, include three sons, David Tuff of Mt. Vernon, WA, Michael Tuff of Mt. Vernon, WA, Ronald Tuff of Sequim, WA; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Shirley Gardner of Rexburg, ID; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Jim Jordan of Hermiston; mother, Helen Gardner of Pahrump, NV; seven grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert, in 1989.

Warren Everett Siebert
Warren Everett Siebert, 89, died on Friday, Jan. 2, 2004 at Three Rivers Community Hospital. He was born on May 23, 1914 in Madelia, MN to John Siebert and Blanche Loomis.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Wilma Louise Martin. He was a longtime resident of Ashland, OR. Since May, 2003, he was living in assisted living in Grants Pass.
He was a sawmill worker, noted for his speed in piling lumber as a pieceworker in his earlier years. He provided well for his family, including two children, John Siebert of McMinnville, OR and Karen Dykes of Grants Pass. He came from a family of 12 children, he being the oldest. He was preceded in death by his sisters Mary and Beverly and his brothers Donald and William.
He is survived by his sister Lois and brothers John, Bernard, James, Joseph, Gerald and Merrill. All surviving siblings reside in the Midwest. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Jake Siebert of Grants Pass; Shannon Oliver of McMinnville, and Tristan Siebert of Newberg; and three great grandchildren, Derek and Danielle Oliver of McMinnville, and Eric Starkey-Siebert of Grants Pass. He was a Life Member of the Ashland Elks and it was there that he and Louise shared their passion for dancing. He was also an avid card player.
No formal services will be held. His cremated remains will be placed next to Louise at Mountain View Cemetery. For those who wish to remember Warren, please make a contribution to a charity of your choice. Dad will be remembered as a quiet man, who had a strong will to survive the hardships of life. He had an attitude for life - those who knew him will understand!

Robert J. Mason, Jr.
Robert J. Mason, Jr., 83, of Medford, died Tuesday (January 6, 2004) at Linda Vista Care Center, Ashland.

Mr. Mason was born June 13, 1920 at Logansport, IN to Robert and Flossie (Isaacs) Mason. He served in the U. S. Air Force for over twenty two years, retiring in 1963 as a Lt. Col. He was a graduate of Purdue University. He has lived in the Rogue Valley for the past twenty years. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Shelley Mason; three grandsons, Bryan, Christopher and Aaron Mason, all of South Lake Tahoe, CA. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacia Mason in 1986.
William A. Bickford
The memorial service for William Andrew Bickford will be at 1 p.m. (today) Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at Hillcrest Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Rd., Medford.
Mr. Bickford, 88, of Ashland, died Tuesday (January 6, 2004) at Linda Vista Care Center, Ashland. He was born May 9, 1915 in Kansas City, Kansas to David and Nora (Zolenok) Bickford. His wife, Virginia, preceded him in death.
Mr. Bickford moved to Ashland in 1964 from Victorville, CA. In Ashland, he owned and operated a janitorial service. He enjoyed flying.
He is survived by his son, William Bickford of Pueblo, CO; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna Jessel Taylor
A funeral for Edna Jessel Taylor will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Litwiller-Simonson Funeral Home in Ashland. Funeral services will be conducted by Ashland Chapter of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Taylor, 79, formerly of Ashland, died Sunday (Jan. 22, 2004) at Ritzville Life Care Center in Ritzville, Washington.
She was born Edna Susie Jane Jessel on March 15, 1924 in Athens, TN, the thrid daughter of Charles Henry and Susie Jane (Gaddes) Jessel.
Edna graduated from Ashland High in 1943 and attended Souther Oregon College of Education. In March 1867 in Reno, NV she married William Elkton Taylor who preceded her in death 2001.
She was a member of Eastern Star and the Church of Religious Science. She previously was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and an honorary member of Ashland Elks.
In addition to her husband, Edna was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Joe Jessel and sisters Etta Herra and Anne Early. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Jane Sanderson, and Alma Jefferson. She is also survived by many neices and nepnews: Jimmy Herra, Norma Early, Susan Early, Pat Early, Michael Early, Ava Early, Loren Early, Anne Lang, Robert Sanderson Jr., Susan Alhan, John Sanderson, Janet Schigig, David Jefferson, and Matthew Jefferson; and many great neices and nephews, who all unanimously agree that their "Aunt Edna" was the very best Aunt in the whole wide world.
